Very warm, charming, funky hotel, with a genuinely relaxed style that had great 24/7 services and one of the best relaxed neighbourhoods on all Manhattan. Very funky lobby and bar. Porters/doormen were superb, helpful, available and not officious or dragging their feet when they see you with heavy luggage. Rooms were not massive but were well appointed, exceptionally comfy and charmingly classy. Love the old school elevators!

Gym is a little light on equipment and in places the hotel lighting can be a bit dark.

Cozy, great quality amenities; morning coffee, morning paper, and especially love the lobby/bar. Feel like youre in Europe! Staff especially attentive.

We had 2 rooms, same price. 1 was about half the size of the other, but still comfortable, but not as much room and bathroom much smaller

We had an amazing stay at the Bowery Hotel. The room was beautiful and the service was top-notch. Room service was delicious and prompt. We had just gotten married earlier in the day and the hotel had arranged to have champagne waiting in our room for us which made us feel so special. We met friends for celebratory drinks in the hotel that evening and the cocktails were amazing and the environment was excellent. Lively and cool without being over-done or too loud.

This is my "go to" location when I am in New York. I love the location because I can travel alone, and this boutique hotel is near everything I want to do. There is a restaurant attached (Gemma) that has a full menu and offers room service as well. After an early morning flight, it was fantastic to be able to walk over to Prince Pizza grab a quit bite, relax in our room, and then enjoy a several course meal just downstairs. I also love the amenities. There is a fireplace in the lobby where you can enjoy the day's papers, socialize, and grab a quick bite to eat or drink if you like (Gemma's chocolate croissants are to die for)

I can't think of anything that I didn't like.

Room service was fast

Rooms were not cleaned in the morning. I had to ask them to come clean in the late afternoon. And there was still a lot of dust. Not cleaned well. They left the dirty plates from the room service still in my room after they cleaned my room. The room was smaller in size than I expected

I was so pleasantly surprised by this hotel! The staff was wonderfully attentive and thoughtful, the rooms were clean and efficient, and the bed was so comfortable (I spelt great)! Great location, too! Very comfortable, great shower, especially coming in after a late fun night. Very relaxing and private.

So much classic NYC character and history. Amazing location and staff. Classy comfort. Incredible service upgrading room and delivering a bottle of champagne on the house for my wife’s birthday.

All they need is coffee service in lobby each morning and it would be perfection.

I loved the history of the hotel. The lobby and bar area were amazing to lounge in! My son was getting married and due to bad weather could not get married at a park and the hotel made last arrangements for him to use the neighboring restaurant! Great staff!

Rooms are very nice, general atmosphere and the al fresco patio at the back are lovely

Wifi is poor and meth center next door is not problematic but a bit weird, when you enter into a luxury hotel with drug addicts next doors

Great Lounge Area Gym was surprisingly good - but a bit of a saga to get to it in the basement Front desk staff were very nice and helpful and they kindly upgraded us to a Bathroom with a Bath not just a shower, which we really appreciated. Our room was over the back courtyard and very quiet (for New York!)
