The Lodge is placed at a beautiful location, great view of the Lake. Private, quiet, off the beaten path.

Our cabin was a Mountain View, which meant we didn’t get ADK chairs to sit in either. Which we didn’t realize because there are SO many ADK chairs pictured. We tried several times to go to other locations to obtain a chair to sit and see the views (to drink our Coffee, etc.,) and it was like there was a shortage of chairs; or they were reserved for those with Lake view access. Such a bummer. We also didn’t have basic necessities like hand soap in our cabin when we arrived - they told us we could pick it up ourselves at the lodge but when we went it was all gone, we had to wait until the next morning and then found someone to ask.

We loved the family/pet friendly atmosphere. We were looking for a scenic overlook in a peaceful setting and this was definitely the place to find it! Located outside of Old Forge and commercial aspects but close enough to other amenities on Fourth Lake. When we wanted privacy- we got it.

Parking was tight, Fortunately, all travelers were courteous and when they saw one of our party had adaptive devices and needed assistance they offered to move vehicles so we could unload and load as needed within a reasonable distance to our cabin.

Must be short staffed because no one is at the desk when you come. Self check in worked ok The room we had for almost 900 dollars for 2 nights had open bathroom The door wouldn’t close It made a very uncomfortable situation! Especially since we are not close family! No shelves in bathroom😩 Bathroom tiny and faucets seemed to be on backwards!

The breakfast was very nice and set up to be very appealing. We really enjoyed the fire pit and taking the canoe out on the lake.

We didn't like that the establishment wasn't bear proof. We understand that bears are in the area but it's so important to not let them get used to eating human food and training the cubs that this is how to forage for food. It's our responsibility to keep wild animals wild - this then allows us to view them in their naturalness.

Keurig was not found in my room at check in. Had to go to front desk and request one. I would advise this item as a check off to be sure it is in the room before check in. So time was wasted hunting down a keurig for my stay with family.

Loved everything. The fire pits were nice and it seemed like a real cozy place to stay. The only regret was we didn't get in sooner. Traffic delays got us there around 10:00 pm. Since we had never been there before we didn't know our way around. Either way the lodge was nice and would have loved to had dinner and a drink at the bar. Great time and would stay here again.

Great Pines was located between Old Forge and Inlet, both cute towns. Lake Views from the property were lovely. Bring a few fold up chairs if you go, there’s a nice platform to sit on and see the water.

Hoped for a Sandy beach….but instead you can walk down to dock and there’s a mini access there. Add a extra table and chair in double rooms.

Bedding and towels quite luxurious. Staff, when we saw anyone, pleasant and willing to help with questions/issues.

We expected a bar and dinner option on site. Very disappointed there was none. Instructions for arrival said our door would be open. It was locked and we had to find someone to help.

The room was a amazing, the staff was very kind and helpful, and the bar/restaurant next door was awesome! They were so fun to be around and to talk to. It was a great night at The Great Pines.

It was hard trying to find my room. Thing should be labeled better on site and online.

The location was beautiful. I enjoyed the bon fire at night. The docks were roomy and nice. It was absolutely the best get away I've had in the Adirondacks. The view is awesome.
