Great location in town. The quality of the room was really nice. The hotel was so accommodating when we needed a microwave to heat food up and silverware/plates. The atmosphere is beautiful.

Our room had a big tree blocking our view from our balcony- room 202. I specifically paid more money for the lake side view with a balcony and unfortunately in room 202, it is the same height as the tree right in front of the balcony. You could barely see the lake. I didn’t want to tell the staff because there wasn’t anything that could be done. We already unpacked our things if they were to move us to resolve the issue.

Loved the balcony. We would come back from site seeing and hang out on the balcony watching people working on their boats, eating on the grass, walking their dogs etc. Food was wonderful and the staff friendly and warm.

Did not like the pillows. Too Hard. Both of us were having neck and back pain. It was better the second night. I think we started to get adjust to them. Still we were happy to get home and sleep better. TV selections were poor. 200 channels but many were the same thing. Lots of reruns and info commercials. We were surprised that the hotel did not have bath tubs in their king size rooms. Almost every room only had a shower. When I travel I love to use a soaker tub at the end of the day to relax. It is my favorite part about traveling in Europe. I have reached an age where having a king sized bed and a soaker tub is the only way to travel. I will choose a hotel because of it.

Loved this property from the moment we walked in the door. It is beautiful and far exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect. Walk to shops and restaurants. The rooms are beautifully decorated and large. My son had a balcony room which was really beautiful. I stay normally at 4-5 star category hotels and I would definitely put this hotel in the category of 5 stars I have stayed in when we travel to Boston. We honestly did not know where to stay as we had never been to Watkins Glen before. We loved everything about our stay. Everyone is so friendly it made us feel so welcomed. We came to town for our son's graduation from NYS Academy of Fire Science and we left wanting to come back for a vacation.

This is an exceptional option for anyone looking to visit the Finger Lakes. The hotel is perfectly located on the waterfront and walkable to the State Park and the entire downtown area, has a spacious patio area overlooking the lake, staff was excellent, amenities (complementary morning coffee on each floor, "grab-and-go" breakfast option to make an early morning visit to the State Park more convenient) are great, restaurant/bar were fine, lake-view room was top-notch. Rates are high for the area, but the value was definitely there.

Our room overlooked the lake and had a balcony which was perfect. Very clean. Good location very close to shops and restaurants, an easy walk. We can recommend an excellent restaurant next door. Loved the fire pits in the garden. Water and soft drinks can be purchased in the hotel. Lots of parking spaces. Very knowledgeable and friendly gardeners and the cleaners were helpful.

Only minor things: We tried to book for dinner on our first night but couldn't get in, staff not very helpful so we didn't try again. No real walk along by the lake and reception lacked local knowledge. Cocktails weren't good, for the price they should be excellent (which would create repeat business). Coffee station coffee was usually cold in the morning, and no coffee machine in room. Turn-down service only worked on the first night.

First of all, the parking area and exterior of the hotel are well-maintained and very inviting as you enter the hotel lobby. Our room was promptly ready for check-in prior to the 4 pm time and the staff at the check-in were very friendly. Upon entering our room we had a beautiful view of the lake and our room was immaculately clean. Location, location is everything. The fine hotel is within walking distance to other restaurants aside from the Blue Point Grill inside the hotel as well as the distance to the Watkins Glen State Park. After a whole day of hiking etc., it's nice to return to the hotel with special treats in the lobby ie. fresh baked cookies and hot drinks. Overall, it met our expectations fully and more, and without a doubt, we would return to this hotel without a second thought. To the hotel management and staff, you're the Best. Please continue what you do best.

Absolutely nothing at all to dislike at this fine and well-run establishment.

The hotel, their staff, and the food was excellent. The outdoor dining area included firepits which was a nice feature. The food was some of the best around the area.

The room was supposed to be a balcony lake view but our view was impeded by the over grown tree right outside our room on the second floor. If we were up one more floor then it probably would have been ok, but this tree was literally right outside next to out balcony.

Beautiful setting right on Seneca Lake. We were in the area to walk the Watkins Glen Park, and it was extremely close to the hotel so we could walk there. Lots of cute little shops and restaurants are varying types. Also within walking distance. Our room was spacious and extremely clean with comfy beds, and super staff

They have a wonderful gym and a great indoor pool, but it would’ve been nice to have a spa experience

Very nice location and generally good service. Very clean, updated and high end rooms. Booked two rooms and stayed four nights with family. Everyone was happy afterward.

The bar didn't have fixed hours. My wife would go down every night after the kids fall asleep to get a few drinks. But the bar had no fixed hours so last call was whenever the bar tender wanted to go home. One night, we went down at 10:30 and drank until 11pm no problem. The next night, different bar tender and we went down at 10:15 and she told us she was closing up. Other bars in walking distance though or just open up your own wine.

Beautiful location at the bottom of Seneca Lake, and walking distance of everything in Watkins Glen. Nice to have free parking. Great size room, very, very clean with extremely comfortable bed. In the morning a nice touch they do is setup a coffee station near the elevator.

No negative comments. Our stay was short, and in December so didn't look at the pool, hottub, or what they have for working out.
