Such a beautiful and quaint location, we couldn’t have been more grateful to find this gem!

Nothing! So much within walking distance, and being able to walk the perimeter of the lake each morning was wonderful!

Breakfast was great! Great selection. Maybe add pancakes ir waffles - but I was very happy with it.

Fridge control was on back outside, which was unreachable and unknown to us.

Location was awesome - right in front of the happening place - the lake. Staff was good, common areas were good enough. Breakfast served was okay.

The room was not spacious enough. The bathroom was too tiny (you got to move to open the door - so go close to the door to get hold of the handle, then move over to make space for the door to open). We had booked the lakefront room, but got a room on the 4th floor, and the first thing we see out of the window was a roof top - behind which was the lake. The breakfast was okay - but in my opinion, it was more for the elderly. My kids just had scrambled eggs and french toast. The cereals and cookies seemed to be made of oats with less sugar.

The location was superb. So quiet, serene, and relaxing. The walk around the lake was wonderful. The restaurant style buffet breakfast was so good, with so many choices. Really enjoyed sitting out on the terrace during the night. Can't beat the easy drive to Asheville Airport and the Great Smokey Mountains.

Loved it all. The hotel is older, not much curb appeal, but very well kept piece of history in a beautiful location.

We had a room with lake view, which was amazing (especially in the morning with a little fog over the lake). The terrace was open at all times, we sat there many hours overlooking the lake, played board games and relaxed. Although we visited in summer, it was very comfortable as it was mostly in the shade. Can highly recommend.

The breakfast is basic, do not expect too much.

The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, albeit some of the furnishings are dated. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast had a great variety. The location is amazing! Though I didn't have a lake facing room, the views from that side of the hotel are fantastic and the lake is lovely to walk.

Some of the furnishings are dated with peeling paint on the end tables. But the beds are comfortable and if you're putting money into a hotel, that's where I would want them to put their money.

Nicely Secluded. The lake and the facilities surrounding the hotel were beautiful, peaceful and well maintained. The hotel and surrounding area is a Methodist Christian Retreat Center.

Attempted any early check-in to which the front desk attendant was far from friendly or accomidating. She was a bit condescending toward me... for no reason. She was eating in the back office and I disturbed her. She said, come back at 4pm (it was 1230pm)... nothing about obtaining my number or calling me if a room became available. When I checked in around 5pm wasn't much more pleasant than the 1st.

The staff was very friendly. Everything was super clean.the extra lobby spaces for resting and viewing the lake were beyond our expectations... loved the gas logs. And the view and beauty of the lake was just breathtaking.

The breakfast was bland. Needed more bakery items, bagels, and English muffins. Cookies, and more variety of muffins... cream cheese and jelly for the toast... and every breakfast that I had been to so far always has yogurt. But did like how everything was spaced out and everything has its own little station.. hot items together, then the waffle, pancake station all to its self. Then the fruit and different juices... Crowd friendly... The rooms didn't have a microwave, was really surprised with everything else that it did have.
