Based on this experience, DoubleTree will be at the top of my list for future stays regardless of location. DoubleTree hits the bullseye in terms of excellent value and overall experience. Staff extremely friendly, even though I was checking in at 10AM. My room was available and I was given complimentary bottled water at the front desk. Their complimentary cookies weren't ready yet (I was so early) but I was able to get them later in the afternoon. The room was quite nice, comfortable and quiet. Finally, a hotel has designed a barn-door style shower door system that looks beautiful and DOESN'T LEAK! The restaurant burger & fries were very good and very fresh (I do think that everything was made to order as I was the only person having lunch at that time) - still it was very good. Reserved parking next to the hotel was available free of charge; I chose to park across the street in the parking deck, which has an arrangement with the hotel, for only $8 (with in and out privileges). Location was outstanding for the sites downtown that I wanted to see.

This is nit picking but the only thing that I can think of. The hotel has music playing throughout the common areas, including the restaurant & bar, which is fine. However, they also have a piano in the lobby area. One guest wanted to play the piano, which they allowed him to do. And that was fine; he played quite well. However, the staff have no means of turning off or lowering the volume of the common-area music that's piped in (at least according to the bartender). As such, I had to endure hearing both the music and the piano playing at the same time, which was a bit annoying.

I’m used to grab-and-go’s with the occasional poor menu but the help yourself option at breakfast was AMAZING. From well seasoned sausage biscuits and gravy, to homemade fruit cups, it was absolutely worth my while. Thanks to booking.com the breakfast was free but honestly I think I wouldn’t have minded paying for the food as I felt it was of high quality. Now In terms of the rooms, I purchased the king size room package and the bed was very comfortable. I found the large TV to be very easy to navigate as well. The bathroom was clean and tidy, and the entrance door was very secure. It is worth mentioning that while I was right next door to my close friends I didn’t hear them at all, the sound proofing was impressive given the price of the rooms. Overall very satisfied with the quality given the price!

I really did enjoy my stay but I wished the pool had more to offer. Aside from being decent temperature and size, there was an odd smell that, after investigating, turned out to be mold. There is a fake plant set up next to the pool that seemed to be a hot tub in its previous life. The fake grass was partially peel back which revealed moldy rotted boards holding the plant display up. The smell was enough to turn us away but the pool wasn’t our main reason for attending. So overall it truthfully wasn’t AWFUL.

We enjoyed the pool, connection to the parking ramp and the restaurant onsite. The food was excellent at the hotel. Wish a breakfast came with an overnight stay, but McDonald's was close by. Overall, great room, hotel, and staff.

More towels. My family doesn't waste towels, we reuse them and re-hang, but we still needed more. I heard other guests were not considerate and threw towels all over the place. As guest behavior is not the fault of the hotel, maybe some reminders to the guests about reusing towels and not taking 10 towels from the pool would be helpful. Remind other guests they are not the only ones staying at the hotel and be respectful of others.

We were there two nights and found the stay quite pleasant. Our goal was the Presidential Library, to which you can walk from the hotel, if you are energetic, and see some sights along the way. Otherwise it is an easy ride. Across the street is the First Lady museum, if you are interested. There are some interesting period structures in the neighborhood. The room was fine, no complaints and we had breakfast included, which was fine.

The parking is a bit odd - out on the street, so not feeling that it was protected. Could have parked across the street in the structure though, and I understand that it is free for hotel visitors. I am not sure why we opted for the street.

Beautiful property. Pool area was gorgeous. Great location. Staff was extremely helpful.

Our initial room had stains on the bedding. called the front desk. Immediately offered to remake the bed. When the new linens arrived we were informed there was only one person working and we could either make up the bed ourselves or move rooms. They were wonderful to fix the problem. Appreciate the efforts. Just wish there was more help available for the night front desk worker.

The hotel was very clean, modern and the room was very nice with new modern furniture. The facility was very nice and the staff were professional and helpful.

The overall parking was less than adequate. As a guest I had a very difficult time finding a parking place near the hotel. There was a large event at the hotel one evening and that took all the parking. I had to park several blocks away at a metered spot and had to go out at 8am and either put money in the meter or find another spot.

The staff was great, the food was amazing.

I had booked a king size bed when I got to the room the air conditioning unit was blowing hot air 80 degrees in the room they had to move me into a different room but they didn't have any kings available the room was ok but didn't get a price cut I got a 5.00 voucher off of a beverage

The staff were incredibly nice and went out of their way to help with anything needed, even if it was not their department, they helped or found help for us. They communicated about any charges to expect and the parking garage, that has a walkway directly to the property was only $8/day, which is the cheapest rate I have ever found for parking at any hotel garage! The rooms are clean and well kept up and feel brand new, the pool is beautiful and has a ton of chairs to sit and relax, even if it is busy.

There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like. Some things to note are that breakfast is good, but expensive and the restaurant is also a bit pricey but it is downtown so this should be expected anyway. The refrigerator is small but we just brought a cooler and the ice machine is on every floor so not a big deal. There is no microwave in the room, but there is one in the lobby. Really not a big deal and they are not hiding those details, you just have to plan ahead. The property is a great price so I would rather pay less for a nicer facility and staff, rather than more, just for a microwave and large refrigerator in our room.

it was clean, comfortable & quiet but the city noises of sirens, train & jackhammers were a bit much.

Be aware, this property doesn’t take cash. Also, the website said free breakfast but it cost us $45 for a buffet that wasn’t great. when I spoke to the desk clerk at checkout, she stated that the website I looked at was a “third party” site. i don’t know how that could be when I googled Doubletree by Hilton Canton Ohio. no matter if it’s a “third party” site, Hilton should correct this as it’s false advertising!!!

The food was very good.The breakfast staff were nice.

On Tuesday morning, August 1st, after other family members finished eating, my grandson and I wanted to get coffee and just a small order. The 2 of us are not big breakfast eaters. The waitress/hostess was rude and made no attempt to accommodate us.
