The staff at the front desk were very nice and explained where to find our rooms. Comfortable beds, very very clean room. Housekeeping came while we were out for the day. The breakfast buffet is $20, person, I thought it was included in the price of the room... Not. Dining options at the Miller's Restaurant were very limited and pricey. There are restaurants close or doordash works too, noted for next time. Or the other restaurants located there may be open by then which provides more options and costs less. I came for a volleyball tournament and usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express down the road.However; I will definitely stay here again over staying at the Holiday Inn or at Breakers resort when we go back in the summer for Cedar Point!

The room was very nice. Great shower, loved the makeup mirror. The decor in the room was inviting. Loved the bench when entering the room. Beds were comfortable. Liked the clear glass door fridge and microwave in the room. Main lobby was beautiful everything was very clean. Property was beautiful

Odd little things. I had to move the tv to hook it to the cable. The toilet paper holder was in a weird place. The bed accent lights were on the same switch as the entry switch, so you couldn’t enjoy the accent lights without the main light being on too. No coffee maker in the room. Had to purchase coffee at Starbucks in the hotel. Glasses in the room were not very clean. Would have loved two bars of soap. One for sink and one for shower. Overall these are minor issues. Really loved the stay.

Stayed in a deluxe king room in the Cedar building for 4 nights that was very spacious, clean and quiet. Other reviewers have claimed that the sound level in the rooms was bad with the sound of doors closing and voices heard from the hall and neighboring rooms, but we didn't experience any of that. The bed was very comfortable, the air conditioner worked well, and the small refrigerator kept things placed inside cold at a temperature between 35* and 39* throughout our stay. Food at the breakfast buffet was good with a nice variety, staff was friendly and helpful. Dinner at the golf course pub was very good, loved the walleye sandwich, service was fast and friendly. The outdoor pool and fire pit area was very nice.

Room was very spacious, but night stands on either side of the bed were very small with only one USB charging port on each side, There was a very long, narrow countertop on the opposite side of the room with built in drawers in the middle and a microwave and small refrigerator on one end. The refrigerator was on the floor under the counter with the door opening on the right side facing the wall. This made it very difficult to use, especially for older people. The refrigerator door could be positioned to open from either side by hotel maintenance and there is plenty of room to set it on top of the counter for easier access. Although cell reception is good in outside common areas it is pretty much nonexistent inside, especially in our room in the Cedar building.

This is a beautiful property and family atmosphere. Price was good compared to other lodging in the area.

Our room had thin walls and an adjoining door. We could hear every door shut, people walking above and in the hallway. We did not get any sleep because the room beside had unattended teen girls in it that were very loud. With the adjoining door right by the bed, it sounded like they were in our room. We called the front desk and could hear security at their door and the whole conversation with the teens. They did not quiet down until parents came and cleared the room. Would not stay here again due to not getting any sleep.

Beautiful resort. Very clean and the rooms were big and very comfortable.

Staff all very flat, not very friendly, particularly at breakfast. When my husband and I were having breakfast, an older man came asking for a cup of coffee about 10 minutes after they stopped serving. The woman working was extremely rude to him and told him to go to Starbucks down the road. The two of them went back and forth about the coffee for a couple of minutes. He was respectful and she was not. They had to-go cups right there and leftover coffee that would soon be thrown away, but she would not allow this man to have a free cup of coffee. It was the most appalling thing I’ve ever witnessed by any restaurant worker. Her attitude toward this man was actually embarrassing to witness. I called to relay this incident to the manager and no one ever bothered to call me back.

There was a lot of very nice outdoor space, wide open grass, area with a fire pit, nice outdoor pool area. Right next door to Sheldon Marsh which has lots of nature to see and can walk down that trail to see the lake. The beds were really comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool and hot tub were both awesome. We don’t golf, but the golf course looked nice. Very close to Cedar Point if that is the purpose of your stay. We were there for the eclipse and it was the perfect spot for it.

There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like. The breakfast buffet was good, but I thought a little pricey ($19.99 for an adult).

This is not our first visit to Sawmill. We always try to get the same room type, king bed with fireplace. The room is spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything appeared to be very clean.

The purpose of our visit this time was to experience their Seasons of Joy holiday festivities. We attended last year and had a fantastic experience. Last year, they had so many treats and activities such as free hot chocolate, paint and sip, wreath and bow making, Christmas skits, etc. They had fewer events this year and most of them required additional payment. We also had very noisy neighbors in the next room that were partying past 2:30 am.

Great location for Cedar Point. Lovely peaceful country club setting. Excellent amenities including indoor and outdoor pool and spa...inviting pub style resto with good choice of food and drinks. Excellent buffet breakfast. On the whole the staff were friendly and efficient....special mention for Kora in bar who worked extremely hard to keep us fed and watered!

Check in assistant could have been more welcoming friendly and efficient ....First impressions count!

The room was clean. The pool and hot tub were well maintained. Lots of nice sitting areas. Fairly quiet. Restaurant/bar staff were very friendly!

No coffee maker in the room or complimentary coffee on the premises. We were told by a staff member this was because the property had a Starbucks. We tried to use Starbucks gift cards at the 'Starbucks' and were told we couldn't because they were not in fact a Starbucks, they just 'sold Starbucks products.' The sidewalks outside were also fairly icy along with the parking lot.

Beautiful facility, friendly and kind people. I was there during the off-seasin and found it very peaceful. The restaurant food was exceptional. And the outdoor (gas) firepits provided a nighttime place to rest.

The facility confirmed my request for a room with a view of Lake Erie and next to the elevator. Neither were accurate when I arrived. The restaurant does not provide coffee refills - they charge for each cup. Perhaps this occurs elsewhere, but I have not had it happen.
