The location was perfect! Charming shops and multiple options for dining and drinks all walkable to this property. A couple blocks from the train station. The rooms were well appointed and clean. Thick beautiful robes and towels, espresso machine in the room, most importantly and very comfortable bed and pillows. Nice gym, lovely breakfast room that offers complimentary breakfast and free coffee and tea all day. Quaint bar and restaurant attached. I’ll be back!

I had trouble controlling the heating unit (PTAC) so it was a bit chillier than I like it at night, but comfortable enough to sleep great.

The ambience of the hotel was nice. Rooms were a good size as well. Convenience to restaurants and other nearby places such as pharmacy. The neighborhood was beautiful to the eye with parks nearby and public transportation available if desired. Breakfast included had enough variety for the family and plenty of seating for us.

The pillows weren't too comfortable. Parking is competitive with people temporarily parking to do food pickups or visit the local market nearby.

We LOVED our stay at the Chestnut Hill Hotel. The room was very quiet and every comfort need was anticipated and provided, including an umbrella in the closet (this was a first for me- just wow!). The bed and pillows were plush as expected and the bathroom was also well-appointed. Fascinating historical photographs of the Chestnut Hill and greater Philadelphia área covered the walls in the hallways. Breakfast was great, and we loved the brewery and market right next door. Calva and Michelle were particular staff who stood out as genuinely friendly and helpful. We felt pampered, and would give our highest recommendation for this hotel!

I can’t think of one thing we didn’t like!

I loved the location on Chestnut Hill and the fact that this is an historic building. The surrounding area is very walkable with cute little shops, a variety of restaurants, and beautiful churches and old homes off the main street. The staff was very friendly, also.

It is nice that breakfast is included though I would describe it as just adequate. There are not many options for vegans and the coffee is only from a machine.

They only improvement I can suggest is that it would be great if they had a vending machine for drinks. They will give you complimentary bottled water if you ask.

The location was the best for us. Walking distance to restaurants, cafes, and stores. The area is very quaint. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, but it could use a greater variety of fruits and gluten-free options.

Our room was in the front of the building, which I liked because of the view but it was noisy.

Sweet hotel, heaps of charm and right in the middle of the upscale neighborhood, the market at fairway with all its restaurants is just out the back door, Location, charm, was so cute my wife figured I spent a fortune but didn’t have to.

Shower head was below 6ft., so I have to crouch to shower

The rooms were comfortable and decorated nicely. Historic information about the hotel was posted in the elevator and was interesting. The bathroom was large and offered L’Occitane toiletries ( hand wash, body wash, shampoo, conditioner).

Even though there was a problem with the lock on the room door, the staff was amazing in making sure that we could get in and out of the room until it was fixed. The room itself was stunning- it looked modern, but kept true to the historical feel of the building. It was so nice that we booked an extra day.

There wasn't a lot of parking available since you're fighting against the Market and restaurants that are nearby. But this was only a slight annoyance, and the neighborhood, staff, and room all made up for it.

not really the properties fault, but all of the adjacent restaurants/pubs close way too early we returned from a show at the nearby Keswick theater at 10pm planning to have a late dinner & drink, but everything was closed. annoying since the hotel website mentions “ late night drinks “ but the down stairs bar they referred to close’s early
