The staff at check in was very accommodating because we needed a unit on the ground floor for one of our family members. Their elevator was not working for the original unit we were supposed to have. We were pleased that they made the effort to make the change. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable with fresh bedding. We had plenty of towels including towels for the pool. The grounds of Island Links are beautiful and well maintained. We liked the pool--especially the smaller one where there was more shade and less activity. The Island Links was a quiet, relaxing place for the family.

The unit's dishwasher had been removed leaving a mess on the kitchen floor as well as water that was leaking under the sink. We cleaned up the dirt in the space where the dishwasher had been, mopped up the water and put a bowl under the drip to keep it from spilling out into the floor. We were only there for 3 days so we just reported the problem when we checked out. We didn't need the dishwasher so corrected the problem ourselves. Having someone come in to clean up the mess would have just been an invasion of our privacy during the short time we were there. This wouldn't be a problem for most guests. I don't think the staff realized there was a problem when they were trying to find us a ground floor unit. You have to drive to the beach or take their shuttle. It's a couple of miles away.

The amenities were great! The pools and hot tub were clean. The heated pool was really nice even when the high temperature was only in the mid to high 60's. The rooms were very clean and exceptionally large for the 4 people that we had. All interactions with the staff were pleasant.

Uh, the weather when we went? It's about a mile or so to the beach, but we actually wanted that because we went at the end of March and knew the average high temp was around 70. So we didn't want as much wind.

I was told there was 2 spots outside my unit for parking. It’s a free for all you have to find a spot. My unit had a screen door off the track and just needed updating. Beds we’re comfortable. Also the person at the main office asked me if my husband was joining me or if I had any couples so they could talk to us about a time share. When I told her I was there with my 3 daughters she showed no interest. I am a professional and independent. I thought that was out of line.

Liked the pool, the rooms were big. Maintenance came right away when needed.

The way you have to go through one of the rooms to get to the one bathroom. Made it a little awkward for 3 families to share. Saw a few roaches in the room. Told the front desk about something gross smeared on all the walls of the elevator and they said they’d get it tomorrow.

Always our favorite resort at Hilton Head, it is why we keep coming back. And let’s not forget the sweet friendly kitties that roam the property, especially Morris.

Price has risen too much too quickly. Just wish it wasn’t 322 miles one way.

The property was nice. The room was spacious. The pool was great. Everything on the property was within walking distance. There was a shuttle to the beach provided. This was very convenient. Drissen Beach was less than a 5 minute ride.

There was evidence of the last visitors left in the room. We found sunflower seeds and plastic wrappers on the floor. There are no hotels located on the beach therefore, there were no poolside bars to get food or drinks. Make sure you pack a small cooler. I am glad we brought a cooler.

The Villa was what we expect from high ratings.

The Villa was on the second floor that made it more difficult for those with bad knees. No elevator in this villa. Some had them. I would stay again but only if it were the first floor or had an elevator. The bathtub was slippery and is a fall hazard. I am surprised that sandpaper strips were not there.

Use of the pool was very handy and the pool was nice. The staff was not pushy. The beds were very comfortable. The resort location was very good, with easy access to beaches, stores, restaurants and getting off island. It is also in a quieter location on the island.

There was nothing that would make me/us question returning to the facility in the future. One thing to point out was that the shower stall surround in unit number 127 could use some attention, as the door should be better aligned to seal better and the curb at the door should be cleaned better on the outside of the door (due to water leaking through the frame).

I didn’t like that the entrance to the Island Links is t lit up. It is so extremely dark when you turn in to enter Island Links. It would be nice if they put some lights around the entrance.

We were having a family reunion with our kids and grandkids. The rooms worked out perfect and the kids used the open area with the tables and sandboxes to play in a lot. We loved the pool and the shuttle. I want to give special praise to Jessika Chaney who patiently answered all of our questions before and after and helped to make this such a great time.

While we were there, a baby from another unit stopped breathing. Our daughter and son-in-law are cardiac nurses and ran over to help revive him. They sent someone to the office for an AEC/defibrillator but none was found. Both of the nurses felt that with the number of people at the resort, the pool and the fitness center, there should be an AED available. I might also mention that only two BBQ's worked so there was a line to use them at times, All in all, however it was a great vacation spot!
