Absolutely loved the location and the view! I loved that the kitchen was mostly stocked, which made making quick meals easy! Staff at the yellow umbrella were very friendly and made great drinks! Although we had access to all of the buildings/pools my boys had so much fun in the pool and lazy river at our building we didn’t even use the other pools. The outdoor areas were very clean and all of the chairs/tables were such a great addition. Nothing better than eating dinner with a beautiful view!

I felt like the property was dated in certain areas and definitely needed some additional cleaning. Lots of stains throughout all of the floors, our bedroom floor clearly hadn’t been vacuumed because there was food crumbs and a hair tie on the floor. The kitchen and bathroom tile floors were so sticky I had to mop them with a towel because our shoes kept sticking to them. The couch cushions hadn’t been put back on properly which isn’t a big deal at all but made me question the overall cleanliness of the room along with the other issues. I am a cleaner for airbnbs in my area and I wouldn’t leave a house in that condition for my guests.

The food and location was great. The staff was wonderful for the most part. The view, pools, hot tubs, lazy river, room, balcony with chairs,& the beach were all fantastic. Anything you need or want to do is right in the area within a mile at the most.

The manager on duty when I called after extending our stay an extra day was very rude and snappy on the phone with me. The lady on duty when we arrived at night was very very nice. But when I extended stay and attempted to use express checkin was not knowledgeable about the policy. Online it said they could send a digital key to my mobile device. I wasn’t feeling well and was locked out of the room. But she said they don’t do that, that I had to come down for a new key. The restaurant we went to for breakfast was across the street so it was a long walk or a drive to get there. They ran out of certain food items everyday unless you arrived early. The ice machines were broken so we always had to go to other buildings for ice throughout our stay. (5nights total)

I was a little disappointed that the large Infinity pool was out of commission when it was supposed to be working two weeks before our travel. I was also surprised that the bar and concessions were not open on Sunday

Location was great ! Breakfast was ok. Room was a great size and we even got offered an upgrade from a resort view to a ocean view for a small price. Balcony was amazing to have. Multiple pools was a huge bonus never felt to crowded.

Room wasn’t as clean as we would of liked. There was stains on the sheets and pillow cases, left over clothes from the past guest. We also asked for housekeeping to come trade our towels and they never did we had to go to the front desk to ask for towels multiple times by the end of our stay we had a pile of dirty towels and was told house keeping would be up to grab them and bring fresh ones but never once did they come despite having the “need housekeeping” door tag on our door like they asked.

Although placed on the seond floor in the building one street back from N Ocean Blvd, getting to the beach was a short walk across N Ocean Blvd on resort property. Parking was closeby and partially shaded much of the day. The dining facility for breakfast was also conveniently just across the street. Be advised, the place is packed between 0830 and 0930. The building we stayed in (200) shows its age, but the structure is solid. Security is a concern. Entry to the building is only via the elevator but anyone can enter as there is no guest-only locking mechanism to access the elevator. The room door did not have a security chain or brace device. The room was clean and had a mini-refrigerator, a 32"-class flat screen TV with a fair channel selection (but you don't go to the beach to watch TV), two firm queen-size beds, a multi-drawer dresser for two people to store a week's worth of clothing, a small table with two wood dining chairs, a comfortable cushioned chair, a small balcony with three chairs to sit and enjoy the breeze, a single basin vanity and separate toilet/shower room the door to which cannot be shut while sitting on the toilet. Fresh towels were provided daily!

Street noise was a problem everywhere along the Grand Strand as we were there during bike week. If you enjoy the rumble and roar of ten Harleys and custom bikes, accompanied by the high-pitched whine of Kawasaki, Yamaha and other such smaller bikes, along with custom sound systems blaring obscene so-called music at all hours of the day and night then this place won't bother you. Being on the second floor, we were very close to the noise sources.

The staff was AMAZING!!!! Some names were Andrea, Edna, Brenda, Hager, LJ, Sierra, Sarah. The ENTIRE staff (anyone we encountered) were nice and helpful and great. Breakfast was great! Pools were cool as there were so many (baby pool inside, lazy river outside, indoor/outdoor pool, indoor pool, outdoor pool, 3 hot tubs all set at different temps to make all happy, dry sauna). Cute bar. We will be staying here again next year and I think we will be bringing more from our group with us.

Even though we set the air on a low temperature, the room stayed on the warmer side.

I thought the breakfast was great. The food was excellent. The staff was friendly and very professional. I loved the set up of the room. The views of the beach were awesome. I also loved the fact that parking was included. The pros definitely outweighed the cons. I would definitely stay at the Dayton House Resort again.

I wish that the breakfast area was attached or closer to the resort. However, it wasn't a deal breaker. My room is in need of some renovations, mainly in the bathroom. The linens and towels need to be bleached or replaced because some of the wash cloths and sheets had stains on them. However, I just requested additional sets that were okay. Overall, the room was fine, and everything else was decent and in order.

I love the facility and attractions , the staff was super nice and the food was good at the on-site breakfast restaurant.

The housekeeping staff was mediocre and they didn't clean the room fully.( No new bed sheets, towels) I had to go to the front desk for new towels , wash rags.

The location was great! The breakfast is exceptional and one of the main reasons we returned.

This time we stayed in the suites tower and it was older and needed some updates. It was clean - just dated.

near to the ocean, the view was incredible, two swimming pools, one hot tub, tables with umbrellas outside, chairs on the balcony, very nice staff! very nice breakfast in the morning 7-10am, and the staff here was great!

the balcony door was opening very hard and made a lot of noise 😞
