Russel is great, always ready to help in any way he can. We've been three years in a row now and the hotel is better every year. It is and older hotel so as expected it is small but they are constantly improving to maximize comfort. And I hear they are considering a pool, that will be amazing in that west Texas heat!
As stated, it is small but there's nothing to do about that.

Good value for money.Nice and clean motel
The check in process is bit difficult as the front desk person is never to be found and was a bit rude. The location is the middle of nowhere the food options are almost 1 hour away from everywhere. The water is very cold while taking shower.

Well appointed retro motel. Comfortable beds, good shower and water pressure, truly a delight. Great grilling /eating area under the big oak tree in the middle of the units. Sanderson is a nice little town, too.

Super cool place to stay. Manager was super nice and helpful.
The hot water in the shower didn't get warm enough. The heating is from a unit in the other room, so I had a cool shower in a cold room...it was a chilly experience.

Not much in the town. Should bring something to eat with you. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker in room.
Not many shops to buy food etc. Got a few supplies at the gas station.

Fell in love with the motel's charm in the middle of the desert. Friendly host. Big rooms. Picnic spot outside.
Don't forget your ear plugs and your hair dryer :)

I like the vibe this clean motel has, it was like I was stepping back into time in 1960’s with the vintage mini fridge, very comfortable spring beds, and etc.

The place was cute, comfortable and clean. Staff was helpful. Liked the old-time feeling staying at this old style motel.
There was no refrigerator. A shelf in the bathroom would be helpful. Shower was a little tricky, but we figured it out.

Loved the retro feel of the motel. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable.
Wifi was not available in our room. If they could fix that, would stay here again.

A great, old school motel. Comfortable rooms. The courtyard is probably the best that I've seen with hammocks, swings, bbq and fire pits. Anything outside to help you enjoy your stay. Much better than staying at some hotel chain. Extremely helpful and friendly staff.
A bit overpriced for the room.
