Very yummy breakfast, not typical for a hotel/motel. Nice staff. We had the 2 room double queen beds, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, The bathroom had a great decor, good shower. We basically had the back garden for ourselves, not sure why other guests sat outside their door by the road. That garden is nicely landscape, many chairs and tables, quiet, well appreciated for breakfast and at the end of the day.

The rooms were a bit small, hard to move around and put clothes The bathroom, again a bit too cozy. It was not a major issue, just it would have been nice to have a slightly bigger space.

Comfortable bed, great reading lamps next to the bed, beautiful decor, good breakfast with lots of choices, nice seating in the dining area-great for meeting and chatting with other guests, nice blinds in the window that kept the room dark for sleeping. The garden looked fabulous for sitting out in warm weather. We were there in November and it was cold, so we didn’t take advantage of it.

Our room was small. It was rather challenging to move around with our luggage stashed there. I didn’t care for the design of the bathroom sink - it was difficult to use.

The breakfast was uniquely different than other hotels. Homemade items and very fresh fruits. The beds were very comfy!!! The back garden area was lovely. Roses & bird feeders, & a fire pit for night. The staff ( mostly young adults) was sweet & helpful. The location is 1.25 hrs from Moab, (Canyonlands & Arches National Parks, & Indian petroglyphs) & approximately 1 hr from Monument Valley. We stayed 2 nights & made this place our base for all of these sites. Many more sites were close by that we didn’t even cover! We stayed the following night in Sedona & met a couple by the fire pit at a Marriott; when we told them we stayed in Blanding, they said “Stone Lizard?” We laughed, & they said they had stayed there a few days before! I booked this place because of the 5 star reviews from EVERYONE! Book it soon, it fills up quickly!

The room had an upscale southwestern design. Queen size bed frame made from pine lodge poles. Very comfortable pillows, and mattress was like sleeping in a cloud. Same with a single bed in separate area. Navajo rugs and pottery throughout. Shower had lots of pressure and hot water. Bathroom sink basin had attractive woodwork. Microwave, refrigerator, coffee machine, good internet is always appreciated. Anxious to return to the property on the the way back after finish of vacation. Check in person was pleasant and accommodating. A truly delightful stay at a property only seen on photos.

I would not change a thing.

It was a genuine pearl in an unexpected place! Wonderful staff, and super comfortable! We were super excited for the freshly made breakfast! A thunderstorm happened to take the entire towns electricity so unfortunately we didn't get to enjoy it!

The ONLY downside is there were no healthy food options for dinner. We did find an amazing cafe about 27 minutes away called Comb Ridge Eat and Drink - which by the way was Amazing.

Easy check-in. The room was not large but very nice southwestern decor. There was a little nook with a twin bed for our grandson which he thought was cool. The grounds are very nice. The breakfast was very good. Freshly made pastry filled with eggs,ham and cheese and cinnamon rolls. A variety of yogurts,cereals,fruit and one of the best chia puddings I have every had. Easy walk to local restaurants.

Bathroom sink was not clean.Scratchy towels. .

Room was comfortable and clean. A lot nice personal touches in the decoration. Bathroom shower was modern and had plentiful hot water. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Appreciated the fresh fruit and healthy item choices.

The TV interface was not very intuitive and there was no printed guide to familiarize yourself with the functions. Exhaust fan in the bathroom could be stronger ;needed to keep the door open allow the moisture to escape and keep the mirror clear.

The Stone Lizard has thee BEST breakfast of any hotel we stayed at during our long road trip. The lovely Teagen greeted us upon arrival. Our room was excellent. We had a full kitchen, bathroom, living room and even a bit of an outdoor area. We were amazed to find the kitchen full not just of condiments but also of different food items. The Stone Lizard is a picturesque out-of-the way boutique hotel that I would highly recommend.

I would have loved a small gym.

Absolutely amazing find. We initially didn't plan on staying here, but after some car trouble decided to book this place instead of camping. Very cozy rooms. Breakfast was AMAZING. The "savories" (basically eggs, ham, and sausage wrapped in pastry) were the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The cinnamon rolls were also very good.

If you have to stay in Blanding Utah, this is the best lodging by far. Excellent rooms. Very comfortable beds. Great showers. Very nice staff.

It’s not the property, but Blanding has only two choices for “dining “ that aren’t fast food. Neither of them are great but decent. The best coffee is at the Maverick station just down the road.
