This is a very clean, comfortable, well-run property in a location convenient to D.C. and of course Old Town Alexandria. We particularly enjoyed interacting with the extremely friendly and helpful front desk staff. We also appreciated the convenient metered street parking for $5 per day located directly behind the hotel, an alternative to remote garage parking.

excellent staff, very clean

i understand that this hotel is pet friendly but hearing a dog bark during different times of the day was not joyful. people with pets should have their own floor or own section of each floor to not disturb people without pets

Wonderful 3-night stay. Smooth check-in and clean, comfortable spacious room. Breakfast was had a variety of items always and the area was clean and also lots of room to sit and eat. Has a shuttle to 1 mile from the hotel. Pick-up at the waterfront was quick and the bottle of water for the trip back to the hotel was a nice touch for a hot day. The outstanding factor for me was the quality of the staff. All from the front desk to breakfast to the shuttle were always warm, helpful, and efficient. They have a way of making you feel at home. Shout to my friends Tiffany and Mimi for their hospitality.

I'm thinking...... Still thinking.... Room view maybe but that did not affect my stay in the least.

Very comfy beds, very clean, nice room set up; nice and patient night desk personnel.

Parking cost way too high ($40!), add 30% in taxes to base room rate and total one night cost is just too high; too many breakfast staff standing around, in the way and ready to pounce the second the clock hit closing time; breakfast hours should shift to 1/2 hour later during week (starts & ends too early), everyone rushed, surge of people last 10 minutes frantic and pushy; nice workout center but could use better machines (male-leaning machines, loads of free weights — a simple ab/sit up apparatus, arm or thigh abductor would be better, free weights in two rooms went ignored.

They had a breakfast bar with decent coffee at no extra charge. The parking was very secure. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were soft, yet supportive. It's hard to find a good hotel pillow. The location was convenient, with King street just a couple of blocks from the hotel. Very walkable distance to the waterfront. I also liked the 12pm checkout time. I didn't feel rushed in the morning.

The cost of parking was a little steep at $40/day.

Friendly employees, clean room, comfortable bed. I honestly had the best sleep I’d had in weeks at this hotel. Breakfast had lots of options. Hotel was walking distance to Amtrak station.

There’s another Marriott right on King St, the Alexandrian, that is more in the heart of old town. This one is still a great location, but the other spot is right on the main drag. This location is definitely walkable to King street snd all the shops (a few minutes), but if you want something more central, check out the Alexandrian.

We have stayed here before and both times this hotel was a great experience. The staff was super nice and informative. The desk helped us navigate the metro system to Washington. The breakfast was amazing as well. Lots of options and friendly staff.

More pillows in the room would be helpful as there is a pull out bed and we had to use a pillow from our queen bed for it. Other than that, no complaints.

Breakfast room was well stocked and well maintained. Staff were polite.

Location is convenient with a restaurant next door, walking under a block to whole foods and cvs. it is also close to multiple other restaurants and stores as well as the metro.

Hotel is in a location that is walkable to Old Town and to the metro. We stayed only one night and found street parking next to the hotel that was much cheaper than parking at the hotel. The breakfast was really good. The room is equipped with a kitchen, dishes and a separate sitting area from the bed.

The bed wasn’t very comfortable.

Hotel staff was friendly and excellent in their customer service. Whenever they saw us, they greeted us. If we needed something, they were always friendly. Free breakfast was excellent. Very good selection of foods. Location is great, though there was construction while we were there, they are located close to King street, the main drag in Old Alexandria.

Having to pay 40 bucks a day for parking. Should be a little less if you ask me. There was plenty of off street parking around the hotel, but better to have a sure thing than a maybe :)
