The room/beds were comfortable. The staff was helpful & friendly. The breakfast was great - nice variety& good food.

The location closer to the highway was our first choice, but they kept putting us on hold & then hanging up. We ended up booking online because we couldn’t get through & that’s how we ended up at the Galax location. What I didn’t like was that they couldn’t give us a military discount because we booked online. Then, after telling us they couldn’t change our rate because we booked online they charged us for a rollout bed that was listed as complimentary when we booked online. Thankfully, the manager helping us credited the cost of the rollout because she agreed that it wasn’t right to tell us the rate couldn’t be changed for a military discount, but it could be changed for the rollout.

When we arrived, our 3rd party booking (Booking.com) had our dates wrong, I attempted to simply have dates switched as room was already paid for, I sat in the lobby for over 2 hours trying to reach a person at that place , good luck. Never did, tried again the next day no luck, the girl that checked us in followed up trying to call from her end, she too had no luck, then called me a week later for follow up, it was nice to see the follow up. At the end I ended up paying twice for a one night stay and Booking.com never responded and kept my money, lucky for us the hotel had an opening our we would have had to try and find another hotel in a small town. STAY AWAY from booking.com not worth the $5.00 your maybe going to save.

Nothing There breakfast was far better than I thought it would be, had real food instead of a cold danish and lousy coffee, their coffee was pretty good.

The check-in process was quick and easy. The staff was super nice and helpful. We asked for recommendations for restaurants and the front office assistant was super informative about the area and local restaurants. The breakfast area was spacious and the breakfast was very nice. Little touch to mention was the fruit bowl by the elevator with positive messages written on the fruit, very nice touch. Love that it is pet friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable.

The side street by the hotel was very much in need of repair and was busy with local traffic. The main street to the hotel is fine though.

Breakfast was amazing and so many options and a hot breakfast with biscuits and gravy, Waffle bar with blueberry batter. And the staff is truly the definition of southern hospitality! Small touches to make this feel like a 10 star establishment. Clean, clean and did I say clean? Smelled fresh and no odors on the room floors. Nice pool and gym. Great location too.

That we couldn't have stayed longer! Truly nothing bad to say about this place, it was AMAZING! Can't wait to visit there again in the future!

We thought this hotel was great for out friend in Galax having a wedding. The room was clean and smelled great. The staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was delicious. Clearly the management is doing what it is supposed to do. If we are ever back in the area we would no doubt come here.

Decor seems dated (90’s-ish)

The breakfast and breakfast area were excellent. We liked the idea of having 2 coffee areas , one for the people eating breakfast, and one for people grabbing a coffee to go. Well thought out. I liked the fact that sugar free syrup was available. The staff kept the breakfast area clean and well stocked

The door to my room did not shut well. Had to pu)l on the handle and turn it just right to get it to latch and lock.

Galax Hilton was very quiet and very comfortable, and the breakfast was a delight! The pool area also has a hot tub. Checking in was easy with luggage carts readily available.

Very clean and comfortable. Good location for our journey. Plenty parking. Excellent breakfast.

Nothing really - couldn’t find good dinner options nearby without driving.

Staff is always friendly. Breakfast is excellent. Rooms always feel very clean. We have stayed here multiple times.
