The entire property was very clean.

The room seemed due for a renovation. All the lamps were very worn and leaned . The bathroom counter was broken in 2 pieces, the kitchen faucet leaked when turned on.

The view of the beach was amazing! The room was just ok. The hotel was within walking distance to great places to eat and play.

This was a time share facility. We were unaware of that. The staff was only concerned with the next sale. They were not informative or helpful. Towels, pillows, and coffee were stacked in our room in plastic bags. Interesting as we have never experienced that before. We came home from a beach adventure with our door wide open. Luckily nothing was missing from our room. I went down to the lobby / office to let them know. I was greeted with, "What do you want?" in a gravelly rough voice from the blonde woman sitting there. I told her what happened and she replied, "I don't have time to help you! I have all of these other people to see to!" Her and the staff of two with her were "seeing to" approximately 3 people. Not a crowd by any means.

The hotel has a superb location. The staff was kind and helpful. The room was big and spotless . The view of the ocean was breathtaking . The resturant under the hotel was fantastic. The hot steam sauna and the swimming pool was really relaxing. We just spend one thay in that hotel, but we really enjoyed our stay.

Night staff is not too nice Toilet handle broken kept having to wiggle it The whirl / jacuzzi is broken in the room as well as the pool area. The entire stay. Room smelled musky and damp. I used plug-ins. Cleaned room, my own way You have to swap your own towels. Only 1 elevator to 11th floor. For both staff and guests, no turn down. In the middle of the week, during stay. As everything in Virginia Beach needs updates. During check out, we were soooo rushed out that they opened the room at 9 am. While I was in the bathroom, SMH

The two balconies, the view, the amenities. But above all- the front desk lady. She was hands down the best.

While it was overall clean, there were a few minor areas that have been a tiny bit neglected.

The staff was exceptional!! The location was also close to everything. I like the fact that it had a separate bedroom and sitting room. The kitchen was also very nice.

The only thing I didn't like, was that we stayed on the 6th floor of the smaller properties and there was no roof over the balconly. Not typically a problem, but we couln't sit outside when it was raining. Other than that, it was a great place!

The location is amazing! You have a great view of the ocean and beach but you are also in the middle of the strip. The room was clean, well maintained and the bed was great. The towels are soft and the kitchen well stocked with utensils to make a few simple meals. They have a washer and dryer available on every floor and we used the indoor pool more than expected.

The room was great but a little more space would have helped. We have a very tall 16 year old and 13 year old who used the pull out couch and a little more space would have been ideal, but the room was good.

My husband and I were on a business trip and decided to try this hotel because of the balcony in the room. The guy that worked the front desk every night was super nice and helpful!! The hotel was clean. Our room was clean. It was quiet inside the bldg in the halls on the 4th floor where we stayed. Finally, we loved our balcony overlooking the ocean. It was so nice after work each day to sit and watch and listen to the waves for a little peace and quiet. We also enjoyed walking the boardwalk each night and taking in all of the activities that were happening!

Unfortunately, the wifi did not work the first 2 nights of our 3 night stay and the 3rd night it was spotty. This was very difficult for us being on a business trip and coming in from Canada with no other service other than wifi for our computer use. We were unable to get work done each evening which was vital to our trip.

Ocean Sands Resort has a great staff. They make you feel welcome from the moment you step onto the property. We forgot our cooler. They called within a few hours of us leaving so we could come get it from the front desk if we'd like. That was just one example of their great customer service. As for the rooms. We stayed at OSR twice. Once during the busy time and this time in the dead of winter. Both times, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and had a spectacular view of the beach and ocean beyond.. Ocean Sands Resort is very well located. Being on 22nd Street and Atlantic, it is not a bad walk to anywhere, really. The efficiency kitchen has everything you need. There is a convection oven/ microwave and a glass stove top range and a toaster, also a coffee maker and coffee. There was a full dish set, silverware, knife set, bottle opener, and can opener. They provide you with paper towels, dish soap and detergent, sponges, and even a tiny disposable slat and pepper set. You really don't need to pack anything but your food if you choose to take advantage of the kitchenette. The bed was perfect. I slept great. They provided extra pillows and a blanket in the closet. The balcony has two chairs and a small table. It was perfect for us. We sat out there to watch the sunrise every morning. It was a spectacular view and experience. I loved that it felt like I brought my home to the beach. My husband, I are both introverts. We really appreciate that the staff is always friendly and there to help, but we have the ability to enter and exit through side doors so we don't always have to interact like at most hotels and resorts.

I did not like how hot the hot water got. My husband thought it was great. I would use caution .
