We have stayed here quite often. Had a more basic room this time. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The clam kitchen is exceedingly well equipped. Everything is very clean, and the location is basically a dune away from the beach. A gorgeous little grocery store is in walking distance. So is a tavern.

The room was a bit dated, but we know that the new owner has been upgrading this motel bit by bit - so, it's great place to stay. Clamming doesn't need fancy, after all.

A modernized old fashioned motel with parking outside your sitting porch and door. Comfortable interior set up with open closet & storage. A good size kitchenette with under counter storage, a large sink and counter area on both sides of sink, real dishes, cups and utensils, a small but real coffee pot, a decent refrigerator and small microwave oven. There is also a decent size table and chairs. Nice size shower, clean room and cute décor.

While I appreciate the new owners work in progress, the adjoining rooms walls are thin allowing conversations in the next room to be slightly muffled but mostly heard. There is no Ice machine. The two TV remotes were a little confusing, even for veteran users. TV cable was shy of major broadcast stations, and other than local ad channels there was a movie channel.

First of all know that it is 2 star Motel. So don't expect Hilton or Sheraton. Once you don't have wrong expectations then this motel will become the best place you have ever been. Decide what is import for you. If the following points are important like for us then you will be happy with it. 1. WONDERFUL hosts! 2. Clean rooms. 3. Snow white fresh bed sheets and towels - I had a feeling it was like brand new out of the package! 4. Comfortable beds and pillows. The last one is not a given thing even in 5 stars hotels:D 5. pet friendly and just for 10$ a night you can have your 4 -paws friend with you. 6. The proximity to the beach - if you take the path winding through some vegetation it would take 5 min, if you go on the road probably even less than that! 7. ON the beach even on the weekend in summer not too many people - everyone had enough space for himself -kites, water activities, just sitting there, walking. The dogs also were not crowded. When you travel with your dog you want to be relaxing time also for him and you don't want to be stressed by too many pets on one spot either. 8. It's not as touristic or crowded area in general as Ocean Shores. We extra wanted to be somewhat away from it. 9. Price: much more pleasant than in Ocean Shores. Once you travel with a bigger family it all adds up! 10. There is a restaurant and a grocery store within few min walking.11. you can camp there. To consider if you are 2 adults and 2 kids you won't be able to sleep all in one bed in one room. Even if you are 1 adult and 2 kids - will be tight on the bed. At least not the room we had. I had two rooms: in one was my mother and one of my kids on one bed and I was in the other room with another kid. This set up worked just fine. BUT maybe there are other rooms which I might have not seen when booking or maybe I was too late to the party - LOL and everything with more beds was booked - Just give a call to the owners before booking and talk about the...

This was an apt #12 in a separate building from the smaller double twin or other rooms 1-10. This was quieter I believe since it was separated and further back. It was low key, comfy, Not busy like Ocean Shores I was looking for quiet. Beach was lovely fewer people than Ocean Shores. Have to walk through dunes and over the River by foot bridge at the end of a road. Or walk around from front of Motel short distance to road and down to end of road and foot bridge. Apt had all needed utensils and oven to cook. Furniture nothing fancy but really adequate for Beach. Accepted my two dachshunds & easily accommodated them. Pet poop bags provided on dune path if needed. Note: Wind coming off Ocean side makes the temp feel cooler than if no wind. You will still get sunburned or tan don't be fooled.

No Fan A/C. I did not ask for one. Really would not need it but Sun shining in makes it hotter. So No Air flow with front door shut. No window to open to allow the breeze in from Ocean side in living room

Comfortable and spotlessly clean. The owners were friendly and hospitable. Nice front deck on every room. It was peaceful and quiet.

The bathrooms could use some updating. Shower was tiny and fixtures were old, although everything was functional.

room was as advertised only better. the clam shack was amazing. if you did not bring any razor clam cleaning gear this will get it done. close to all beaches. we spent time on two of them. we are going to expand the number of people we bring to the party. plenty of easy parking. we backed our rig right up to our deck

mattress was uncomfortable water pressure is lacking for shower I am a spoiled and like all the amenities. I am picky on mattress comfort. Lowtides is a place to get away from the troubles of life. Genie (spelling) was an amazing host. talking with her was refreshing. she gave my grandson and daughter some sand dollars to paint….Jax absolutely loved it and is still talking about it. what memories we have to cherish!

We had our own food but certainly appreciated the coffee, cream and sugar provided us! You can not beat the location. The owners are down to earth as was the unit we rented. For us it was perfect. Also, the refrigerator / freezer was nice and roomy compared to that found in a hotel room!

I feel out on the beach they should have signs warning about the waves and logs. We learned that waves can pick up those logs and crush dogs, body parts or even cause death! Also the rogue waves could rapidly drown a non-suspecting little dog. WARNING SIGNS WOULD BE EXTREMEMLY BENEFICIAL

The room was clean, updated and very well maintained. We liked that it had plenty of lighting. The owners were very friendly and helpful. It was close to the beach and off the main road, so it was quiet.

We have stayed at this place before. The new owners have visibly changed it and upgraded the amenities. Our deluxe room had a kitchen with freezer and fridge, a microwave, coffeemaker (and coffee ingredients), a nicely made-over bathroom, white bath towels and bed linen, and maritime decorative touches. An eating/relaxing area is there as well as nything to stow away your suitcase and clothing in a corner (hangers included). There are Wifi, and the TV has also been upgraded. The owners greeted us warm-heartedly and held extra-info on clamming and the surroundings. The clam kitchen now holds even cutting boards and scissors. And the short hike through the dunes to the beach is, of course, priceless for any beach activity. There are a fancy little convenience store and a tavern in walking distance.

It's hard NOT to like this place after its upgrading and all the loving touches that have been put to it. Maybe the sofa was a bit hard - but how much time does one spend there when there is a beach?!
