A surprise stay, seems like this is an independently owned property. And what a family friendly place, the hotel surrounds an amazing courtyard with corn hole, pool and hot tub. you can check out toys and bikes. There is a lovely back field to do a fire and star gaze which you should do. This place understands the town shuts down early and has a BBQ to cook on and a Thriftway next door, which we cooked as our kids played a game of corn hole, there is a nice picnic set up. The owner was quick to replace the empty propane tank and offer cooking utensil's. I would say hanging out and relaxing in the courtyard was easily one of the best parts of our long trip. This is an amazing family friendly spot, just standard rooms but we spent very little time there, but there were also free movies, coffee and a great breakfast.

Only thing is the doors could use a wipe down but otherwise amazing place

The breakfast was very complete and very good. Our room was quite clean and the beds comfortable. We really liked making use of the grill in the patio area. There is a grocery store just two blocks away so we were able to save considerable coin by grilling a nice NY strip one night and some chicken another night. We ate down by the river and it was quite scenic, and MUCH quieter than at a restaurant. PS: The grocery store has local brews, like from Old Schoolhouse Brewery, for a lot less than at the restaurant.

We were disappointed that the tube floating was not available until the end of June. We did understand that the water is still pretty chilly.

We really enjoyed our stay. The facility was comfortable and clean. I got to enjoy the pool. And the breakfast was above and beyond anything expected! We'd definitely stay there again.

It was not made clear on Booking.com that the card we used to reserve the room would be charged the morning of our stay. I booked a second room by calling the hotel directly and it wasn't made clear then. We were traveling on behalf of a political campaign and had this been explained we might have stayed elsewhere. In addition, there was a possibility of an individual paying for their room on their own and we didn't get that choice. Just be aware of their policies and procedures because you may not be informed.

Great stay for our hockey team. Thank you for taking care of the families. Really hoping we get invited to Winthrop again in 2026. The GM was super friendly and helpful to our group. Cool guy! Breakfast was perfect for a free meal. The free lobby coffee was better than I expected. In the rooms we liked the hot shower with great water pressure. Also the rack above the ptac was perfect for drying out hockey gear. The room was immaculately clean when we arrived.

Abby Creek is a very nice hotel. The manager and staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds run down to the Methow River and the motel has created a parklike setting along the riverfront. The location is on Route 20, maybe a mile east of downtown Winthrop. I like the location because downtown has heavy traffic at times so it is more comfortable for me staying out of the center of town. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. We would stay here again.

All staff and the owner were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was excellent. The owner was in the kitchen making breakfast himself. The lobby was still full at 9:50 when breakfast ends at 10 and he stocked every option up completely so people could continue to eat past the end time. This was really impressive to me as usually everything is pulled or completely empty by the time a hotel ends continental breakfast. Definitely shows what kind of people are running the Abby Creek Inn.

Location to town and the river!

Only issue was that a large group was also there and should have all been in one area/group of rooms so they could be together without disturbing other guests. Easy to remedy in the future. Also, I’d request that they apply an adults only from 8-10pm so the other guests could have a moment to enjoy the inviting pool and hot tub without it being full of kids. Just a suggestion. We would have loved to enjoy them but they were always full.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly and kind. She offered some good tips on where to eat. And she was quick at getting us checked in. In fact, booking reservations through Booking.com was a good idea. The moment we entered the room, we could tell it was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. We had a king bed because it was the last room available when we made the reservations. The room was very nice, excellent value. There was a nice pool, a hot tub and a sauna that was available. The grounds are well kept. And the breakfast was very good. We will be staying there again the next time we are in Winthrop.

The girls next door were kind of loud. That is you could hear them through the connecting door. However, it was very quite after 10:00 pm.

The Staff were extremely welcoming, attentive and available to meet ones needs. Somehow my husband put our clothes in someone else's white SUV. We left and did not notice what had happened. The owner of the SUV took the clothes to the office and explained what had happened. The Staff called us because they had recognized the clothes and thought they might be mine due to the style. What a wonderful surprise it was to pick up the clothes as we would not have noticed until we arrived at home, which is 4-5 hours away. What a delightful gift to have them back due to the customer service of Abby Creek's Staff.

This place was truly the highlight of my trip. We were traveling to visit Mt. Rainer, Olympic, and North Cascades. We stayed in 5 different hotels and this one is stand out. It was so great to stay close to North Cascades. All the staff was so friendly, the atmosphere was family friendly and safe. The pool/hot tub/sauna experience was wonderful after lots of miles hiked. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast I’ve had. The food felt fresh. The bed was incredible. My friend and I slept like babies. Thank you AbbyCreek for your hospitality! My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.
