There was good communication with the hotel to arrange transfers from the airport, and the check-in process was straightforward. The rooms were good, and bigger than we expected. The building itself is typical of the type, long and narrow, and as a result the rooms are rectangular, rather than square, but that doesn't take away from them. The location was excellent - easy walking distance from the French quarter and the old quarter. We were delighted to be right next to the lake, and in the heart of Hanoi.
The restaurant felt like one was sitting in a corridor, but was otherwise fine. The unanticipated cultural experience early each morning was unwelcome, but there is nothing the hotel can do about that - it's one of those things. If you're booking a room overlooking the lake, however, you'd be recommended to take either a rear-facing room, or a higher floor room, unless you are a particularly keen (very) early riser!

We arrived close to midnight on a weekend and because the streets around the nearby lake were closed for pedestrian use our car could not deliver us to the door of the hotel. No problem - our driver rang the night manager who appeared and carried our luggage to the hotel while we followed. The room we had booked had a large window and balcony - it was quiet and we looked over the roof of the front part of the hotel towards the lake - perfect! The staff were lovely, and the hotel spotless. We were able to change Australian dollars at a good exchange rate so we could get out and about the next morning without having to find an ATM. The hotel and staff were beautifully presented - I particularly loved the marble decoration on the lift floor - that’s attention to detail! The restaurant and cocktail bar on the roof have just reopened after some time. The view is lovely and the food and cocktails are good if you don’t feel like venturing out after a long flight or busy day. The service is enthusiastic and working towards being polished
A suggestion is to offer some savoury snacks with cocktails and include beer on the menu for the roof top restaurant.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed. A special shoutout to Ms Ngan Kieu, Mr Linh Nguyen & Mr Trong Nguyen for their outstanding service—it truly made our experience memorable. The hotel's prime location is another big plus, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for top-notch service and a convenient location.

The location is convenient. There is a lake just in front of the hotel, with lots of food options in the neighbourhood. Walking distance to Old Quarter markets and train street. It becomes a pedestrian zone Fri-Sun, so there is no traffic noise. Breakfast was good! Staff are friendly and helpful with food recommendations and with transport.
There was some noise (eg. music) from the surrounding area, quite early in the morning. As it turns out, it was from a parade taking place that particular weekend. The road in front of the hotel is closed Fri-Sun. This makes it a pleasant pedestrian-only zone, a great spot to people-watch. But it also means the hotel is a short walk from the side street, if you’re arriving/departing by taxi.

All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful with advice on things to do and places to eat The location is absolutely perfect, on the edge of the french quarter, old quarter and right on the lake. Quiet but 5min walk to the Old Quarter Room was comfortable, very clean and so quiet for such a city centre location Breakfast was tasty and good variety of options The hotel has a rooftop bar with a discount for guests The doorman organised a taxi to the airport when leaving for the same price as a grab taxi

I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. The location is fantastic—right by the lake and just a couple of minutes' walk to the old quarters and the water puppet theater. The rooms were great, and the customer service was extraordinary. All the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. I particularly want to highlight the honesty of the staff. I accidentally left some money in my pocket, and they were quick to return it to me as soon as they found it in the laundry bag. Their integrity and attentiveness truly impressed me.

Great location on the lake. Comfy beds and we felt safe arriving at this hotel late at night. In general, the service was good and the hotel exchanged money at a reasonable rate. Most people staying here seemed to be over 50+ so definitely not a party hotel / location.
We were given a "premium bottle of water" that cost 160,000 VND at dinner. We disputed this as we did not request a bottle of premium water (standard water is 55,000 VND). My friend complained and this was refunded after speaking to the manager.

In my nearly 15 years of travel in Hanoi, I have not come across such a helpful team in places I stayed! Everyone was friendly and confident, and I must holler a shout for Ms Kieu who didn't hesitate to go out of her way to help. Others, including Mr Viet are to be commended. And, of course, the location, being right between the Old Quarter and French Quarter. We enjoyed walking around the Hoan Kiem Lake in the early morning and late evening when it was cooler, walked the ten minutes to streets in French Quarter for meals and admired the architecture of the buildings, and took a Grab car (only VND 30-40,000) a few times to Old Quarter, to the railway street and enjoy street food, although walking would take about 15 to 20 minutes depending on which part of the Old Quarter we wanted to go to. Just five minutes away, of course, were the street food shops selling Ba Trieu and Quang Trung, selling: che, banh mi, banh cuon, bun rieu, etc, for 50,000 or much less.
Nothing really. Perhaps, the fact that I didn't get an upgrade to a room facing the lake ? That would be a real treat, but it's understandable that these rooms cost more as land here being next to the Hoan Kiem Lake must cost a premium.

Very Central, facing the park and many tourists key attractions. Great quality breakfast. Amazing friendly and English speaking staff. Impressed with the airport transfer. Smooth journey from airport pick up all the way to the hotel. Superbly clean room with balcony. Our room is the biggest with direct view of the park with free standing bathtub. If you are a light sleeper, please request for another room category. We have a friend who did that and She is tremendously Happy with her room.
Since it is located by the road, it is quite noisy with music blasting from the park with group exercising on weekends & loud PA system played by nearby street sellers/shoplots. The road closed from traffic access, only accessible through walking during weekends. Getting Grab will not be directly from the hotel, you need to walk down the Road. The hotel staff very good and will guide you all the Way & even help us with our Grab booking.
