The location is ideal. In the centre of town and walkable to many sights The staff are really sweet and polite They make fresh eggs for you in the morning but when it is busy you would find a long wait for your eggs. The bread at breakfast time was really amazing. Bed is really comfortable Slippers in the room are a great touch The staff at reception saved us from a taxi scam as well. We ordered a grab to bring us back to the hotel at night but the taxi driver at dropoff started shouting at us about something and pointing at the seat as if saying that you have spoiled my seats. What we didn't realise is that the kind receptionist had come out with an umbrella for us as it was raining. As the driver saw the hotel staff he straightaway changed his story and said that he was just asking us to check the back seat but that wasn't at all the case. So he saved us from being scammed. Sorry I can't remember his name but to be fair all of them were really lovely and helpful

There wasn't a chair with the desk which would have made it easier to work the bathroom tiles were clean but a little worn and need a refresh The room lacks enough storage for two people and there are very few hangers in the wardrobe The breakfast is quite basic with not a lot of vegetarian options but plenty of fruits available Bring your own toiletries as there is only one soap and it doesn't smell nice

We ended up at Skylark after our first hotel was a complete disaster (broken beds, bugs, filthy - don't trust all photos/current reviews on here!). I contacted them at midnight via message explaining the situation to them and asking if we could leave our bags with them early in the morning (since check-in wasn't until 2pm). They said they would try to have our room ready for us earlier than 2pm if they could. Our tour agent also rang them early in the morning to explain things in Vietnamese. We arrived just after 9am and were greeted with a glass of cold water as they took our luggage. I explained that I would like to see the room first before committing to the rest of the 8 days we would be staying - they graciously showed us a room identical to the one we would be staying in. We went out for a coffee before coming back to the hotel to meet our agent and were surprised to find that they had gotten our room ready for us by 10am. They went above and beyond what they needed to do for us, and we really appreciated that considering the horrible night we had endured. The room was spacious, beds were comfortable, bathroom and shower were huge. Air-Conditioning worked well. Housekeeping was wonderful - we brought a couple of 'cat-shaped' pillows from Hoi An and left them on our beds when we went on a 2-night tour - came back to find them propped up identically on our beds - such a nice touch. Free bottles of drinking water were always replaced daily. Whilst some of the staff only had basic English skills - they were all incredibly willing to help with anything we needed. Door was always held open when we were entering/exiting, they recommended food/drink places, ordered taxis/private cars, or simply stood outside and had a chat with us when it was quiet. There is a convenience store just around the corner, a couple of ATMs, and numerous food places within walking distance (including some Western ones).

Do be aware that the hotel is on a very busy street and everything of interest requires you to cross it! Luckily it is one-way - so long as you commit to crossing, you're fine :) Breakfast was pretty limited compared to some of the other cheaper hotels we stayed in - but still had basic Vietnamese and Western Options including a few hot options (omelet etc). There is no Gym even though it is still advertised, didn't ask why that is the case since we weren't interested in it. The Beauty and Spa Service list things that they don't actually offer (plenty of spas in the local area though so it's really not a huge deal)

initially when we arrived we discovered the pool was out of bounds and they were sealing the tiles with some chemical that took your breath away! however when we explained to the staff we specifically picked that hotel for the pool but also that we couldn’t tolerate the smell and my partner being asthmatic they acted swiftly, gave us a better room away from the smell and halted the work and allowed us to use the pool! service outstanding

The breakfast was very traditional, a lot of Vietnamese options but no alternative options if you didn’t like the traditional pho’s and veg noodles but always friendly and attentive where they could be and in the owners defence he did as if we had special requests and we said no as long as there was choice. so I’m sure you can request could have the breakfast in the nicer dining-room we thought we missed it initially lol. the coffee had a scum floating in the top too.

The staff were excellent we had a late flight in and had a tour the next morning and the staff went above and beyond with helping us sort everything out. We also had an early flight out and they prepared breakfast for us so we could eat it on the way to the airport at 4am. The rooms were clean and the bathroom well kept. Exercise Park across the road Backpackers market Street 5 minute walk. Overall good spot to stay

Sadly poor was getting serviced but we had a quick look and it looked lovely, next time!

The hotel is clean and has a great location with good facilities. The breakfast was delicious and Long was so friendly and helpful. He made our stay very comfortable and really improved our holiday experience 😄😄 he also gave us advice on what to do and where to go in Hà Nội. Thank you Long and everyone else at Skylark Hotel, we will definitely return to see our friends there 🥰

The staff was very helpful, the hotel was located just fine. The pool was very small but fine to cool off after a warm day in the city. Breakfast was a little basic but overall if I would come back to hanoi I would definitely stay at this hotel.

Loved this little hotel not too far from the action but in a more true local experience with the park across the street and plenty of coffee shops nearby. my favorite neighborhood in Hanoi!
