Centrally located, minutes away from the Saigon Bus Station, the last stop of Bus 109 from the Airport; surrounded by many restaurants, shops and fruit stalls, walking distances to a few noticeable attractions in the city center. In a side ally and insulated from traffic noise. Easy to find, easy check in and check out. Clean room, comfy bed, clean linens and towel, friendly and English-speaking staff, and complimentary breakfast. Outstanding value for the money. Overall, one of the best hostels I have stayed in my years of travel around the world.

Beautiful, homely feel to the place. Room was absolutely spotless, the family who run it are incredibly friendly and helpful - they can help you to sort excursions and laundry etc. The location is great, very close to the Bar Street and to Central Market. Breakfast is included for all even though it didn’t mention it on the booking, with 4 choices for both food and drink, including omelette, scrambled eggs, baguette with jam and the star of the show, banana pancake (amazing!). Room had a kettle and microwave too.

Only thing I could fault would be the low shower pressure, but this didn’t affect our stay or bother us. Amazing place, would not hesitate to book again. Totally worth the money, we thought the price was low actually.

No blinds in the window, which makes it hard to sleep in early morning.

One of the best places I have ever stayed. The owner and staff are incredibly nice and helpful it’s amazing. We organised the Cu Chi Tunnels tour through them and after we checked out we were able to keep our bags there all day until our night bus. They even let us shower and offered us a towel to use - free of charge. The room (double) is clean and comfortable, with a private bathroom, good AC and a mini fridge. There is no noise at all from the surroundings.

I dropped some questions for the reception ahead of our arrival and never received any reply even though information was easily available. So do not expect too much engagement from them.

Our stay at the Long Hostel was amazing! The room was very clean, breakfast is really great (amazing banana pancake). The owner is just the sweetest person, she was always trying to help us with anything we needed. The laundry service was cheap and really efficient, our cloth smelled really good and were even folded. We also had an early check in when arriving from our night in the train. Great staff, family atmosphere, I recommend it for sure!

Amazing hostel. Rooms are spacious, clean & uniquely decorated to give a nice homly feel. Location is excellent, in district 1 (tourist area), walking distance to bus stops & local attractions. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Tours can be booked via hostel ( Tunnels, Delta, food tour etc) & laundry. Free water refill at reception. Free breakfast was one of the highlights. Nice vibes at breakfast as everyone sits around the one big table. The Banana Pancakes are unbelievable!! Would definitely stay here again.

The only small thing preventing this hostel from getting a 10 is that the hold for the shower head in our room was broken so you had to hold the hose the whole time. Not ideal, but not a deal breaker!

The staff were fantastic and free breakfast each day was great, included a free drink also. Rooms were clean and tidy with hot water showers. Perfect location for top tourist sights and nightlife in Ho Chi Minh, would highly recommend!!

Only minor issues were the balcony door did not lock, however this didn’t affect us 4 floors up! And there are a lot of stairs if you are on the higher floors for those who would struggle, there is no lift available.

Bed was a bit hard, it had those old metal springs in them but it was sleepable lets say I would prefer the shampoo in easier to open packaging

I had a room to myself at the back of the hostel on the 4th floor: 80 steps with no lift but this wasn't a serious issue, I much preferred the relative peace and quiet. Room was clean and there was even a microwave (I didn't use it) along with an electric kettle. It was better than I expected. The breakfast, included, was basic but nice to have, and be able to interact with other travellers, in the communal area on the ground floor.

I didn't have a problem, the hostel was better than I expected when booking and I had an extended stay there. It's in a convenient location for transport and sightseeing.
