Staffs:11 / 10 ! Outstanding ! Service: 10 / 10 ! Very good ! Location: 9 / 10. Walking distance to many eateries. Japan Street / Japan Town just around the back of the hotel. Walking distances to many more shopping malls and countless numbers of street corner food stalls. About 20 - 25 mins walk to the popular Benh Thanh Market (Fakes Mega Market). Casa Del Habanos literally 5 mins away if you love cigars, whiskey and food! Pool: 6.5 / 10 (Small, that's all). Gym: 5 / 10 (Again small and bare minimum. 1 Treadmill and 2 other machines. No free weights. Breakfast Buffet: 8.5 /10. Pretty decent. You have choices.

Gym - Range of free-weights are a must in all gyms and ideally bigger space would be nice. Everything else was up to expectation :)

It was clean and nearby the center of HCM, malls, cho benh thanh and restaurants.

There was nothing i did not like

A lovely hotel with helpful staff and good facilities. The breakfast was a really lovely buffet, it included a variety of hot and cold options and a pho station. It was a mix of Asian and western food. They also made us breakfast-to-go boxes on our day of departure as we left at 3:30am. The staff went out of their way to be helpful - they always helped to move our bags and were so kind to our children (this seemed to be a theme in vietnam - everyone seemed to like babies!) The rooftop pool was lovely but quite small so would not be suitable for lap swimming. We visited it but didn't get a chance to use it in the end as we were only there for a short time but it seemed nice and our kids would have loved it. The location of the hotel was great, next to Japan town so around lots of Japanese shops and food. It was very central and also walking distance to lots of local attractions, which suited us fine as we wanted to see things on foot with our small children. I anticipate we will be back.

The hotel room was great but if I was going to choose anything to improve it would be that the floors were not as clean as I would have liked. There needs to be a deep clean done under the beds and behind furniture as that dust and mess from under the beds spreads easily around the room, especially when my baby is crawling all over the floor and my toddler is rolling his toys under there! We got a free afternoon tea with our stay when we booked with booking.com. The tea was ok but we only got a few cakes with this and it looked like the leftover muffins from breakfast with some icing on. We were happy as we didn't pay for it but if we had paid for it I would have been quite unimpressed.

Location was great - 1 street behind Opera House, close enough to all the action of the town centre yet away from the noise and hussle. All major sightseeing attractions within 10 min walk. Our Premier Room with windows was large and comfy, plenty of space so you are not tripping over your luggage. Breakfast was OK - geared more to Asian travellers but they did have a good egg station for eggs any way you like them.

Our bathroom looked lovely - lots of space with a shower/bathtub combo. But when you had a shower - the water ran around the bath top and onto the floor wetting everything within 50cm around the bath.

The breakfast buffet was excellent in terms of selection and quality. My 11 and 14 year old children who prefer a Western style breakfast enjoyed it. My husband and I prefer Asian food found the food to be perfect for us. The outdoor eating area was beautifully decorated. The staff was very friendly. The gentleman at the door was very helpful with bags and offering to get me a cab. The location was conveniently located near the sites we planned on visiting. The room was also a large size, comfortable for our family of four.

I was disappointed that the water was leaking out of the shower, better caulking is required. There was also a charge for a Pepsi upon leaving the hotel - I disputed the charge and it was removed however there was a charge for instant noodles. I didn't realise there was a fee for the noodles, and had I known, I wouldn't have eaten it. I feel that it should have been more clearly indicated with a sign. It's not a big deal as the cost was minimal but it soiled what could have been a great experience. While the room was nice and large, the colours of the room were quite drab and the room lacked light.

We got in past midnight and the staff were very friendly and had no problem checking in. The room was spacious for the 4 of us; the kids had singles bed each and we had queen bed. Bathroom is very roomy with complete amenities with bathtub and shower. Our room were facing the street so you can hear the hustling and bustling in the morning, as one would expect staying in the centre. Breakfast was sufficient for us, we found it has quite a selection with egg station, pho station, fruits, pastry and hot food bar. Didn't get to use the pool, its on small side nonetheless it would be adequate to frolic on a hot day. We were pretty much within 10minutes walk of everything that we wanted to go/visit. Grab is abundant, easy to get to the airport. All staffs we encountered were very helpful and friendly, defo makes our stay pleasant!

We had a pleasant stay at Paragon Saigon hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, although maybe a little outdated but still feels very comfortable! The location is great with a lot of food options around (mainly Japanese and Korean) but also only 10 mins drive away from city centre, Ben Thanh etc. The doormen and staff working at the bar were always very welcoming, friendly & kind. There were times when we had to wait a little longer for a Grab, and they would come outside to check on us to see if everything was ok! It wasn't expected but felt very heartwarming :)

The reception staff during the day were a little short - we had a few interactions with them with checking in & checking out, as well as with bag drop off & it felt as if I was bothering them! This didn't affect our stay otherwise, and the night-time reception staff were very friendly.

Liked · Paragon Saigon is overall a greayt hotel; it has two main advantages: the location (very near the center, meaning the opera, the cathedral, the French colonial period post office etc) and the fact that it is located on a quiet road, therefore you won't be disturbed by traffic and honking ;) The staff is very gentle and efficient (as broadly speaking, everywhere in Vietnam). Wifi was OK and rooms very always cleaned up properly. Breakfast was OK.

Disliked · We were disappointed by the bathroom... the shower has no door, so when you use it, you tsunami the whole bathroom, and the shower system was a plastic 5-dollar fixture, only hand held (not the combnation fixed/hand held) unworthy even of Ikea... a shame for a 4-star hotel (in fact, it was half-broken). The spa/gym were closed :( and the rooftop swimming pool is in fact a large bathtub for children ;)

Warm welcome, my room was upgraded to a bigger room with windows. helpful staff. Perfect location: close to Japanese area, Opera House, shopping Malls…
