I had two rooms double room no 429 and single was 210 For the price I have been charged without also breakfast and where both of the rooms in the back of the hotel no few I thing was over value ….!? Also The sleeping bed width was vary Tate (not comfortable) for the double room and I thing also the single .. and the house keeping one time they forget to Clean up the trash basket in the room and in the toilet and also the forget the cleaning tools in the room , also one time they forget to put water in the room , for the single room I think the bed also and when we checked in we found one Taweel was not clean in the toilet … this comments for booking .com … not for public

No mirror in the room and so noisy no sound proof for the window we hear all noisy music across the street at nighttime while we're sleeping

Friendly staff (but a very young man at the recepition didn't know meaning of "a stain"), convenient location, excellent breakfast, nice lobby and the drink bar.

Cleaness - needs some improvement. My sheet had a big hole. It was replaced immediately, but in such a hotel it shouldn't happen at all. Also we found under a chair somebody's used sock, which couldn't be removed for two days though we asked for it. On the floor next to my bed were some stains, but they weren't removed although we asked for it (maybe it was impossible?). But I must admit that the hotel gave us a small discount and offered another room after 2 of our 3 nights (but we didn't change the room). So it was quite fair.

Location Check in and out process

I requested an upgrade to my room with a charge as the room which was allocated to me was not nice. They were kind enough to grant me one but next day which I accepted. I was surprised to experience that I have to check out at 12 and wait for the new room until 3 pm to get it which is not a normal practice in the hotels for the in house guest. Any way the front office lady was very helpful and she gave us the room immediately. Just wanted to share the process which is not convenient.

This is my fifth stay here I believe. I like the place and the staff are mostly friendly. The decorations are beautiful, the room is lovely and clean, they provide a bottle of water every day. location is great and very close to every thing. Roxana at the front disc is multilingual and pleasant always.

the concierge ( older man) showed annoyance when I asked him if he was sure that a trip to the airport by a van, which he was booking for me, costs a certain amount of euros. He confirmed it, only to find out that it’s 20 euros higher when dropped at the airport so i had to pay by card. not professional.

The location was absolutely perfect: walking distance to the main station and all the other local transportation means. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Any time we called for some help, they dropped by within a few minutes. The breakfast was nice and quiet. Some more information about the apartment rooms: - It is located one street away (2 minutes walk) from the main building but you can use all the service like the gym and breakfast in the main building. - The kitchenette had most things you need to make simple meals from cutleries to basic cooking gears. - The room I had was a two story room: the living room, bathroom, and the kitchen on the first floor and the bedroom on the upper floor. - No elevator with narrow stairs and no air conditioner: this applies to most of the traditional buildings in the Netherlands so I wouldn't say it is a big downside but in case you worry, the staffs carried our luggage for the stairs whenever we needed help but if you don't like taking stairs in general, better to get a room in the main building. Also, we stayed there during one of the hottest weeks but it was pretty chill inside the building with not much direct sunlight and 4 electric fans.

Nothing much to say. Just for the ones who want to stay in the studio apartment and have sensitive ears, bringing earplugs would be a good idea. The studio I stayed in, the bedroom was facing the bar street and there were some drunk people until early morning. With the windows closed, it didn't bother me that much but some people might find earplugs handy.

Very nice hotel, the location is really great near the central station (make sure to get pancakes amsterdam for breakfast), our room was literally right on the canal which was great. The only issue was part of the hallway to the rooms smelt of damp mold - maybe canal sewage? Duno, but otherwise no complaints

The location of the hotel is great. The staff is very helpful and smiling.

There are 2 things that won't affect my rating. First, the rooms were not warm enough. The staff helped with this and brought an additional heater, but without the additional heater the room temperature should have been fine. Amsterdam is the city of freedom. Everyone's rights are respected. Things that are prohibited in other countries are legal here. But smokers are still second class people. Instead of going down to the front of the hotel to smoke, the rooms may have small french balconies or there may be smoking sections on the floors.

What a gorgeous hotel! It's clean, it's modern (but still has character), the rooms are immaculate and the staff are friendly and polite. It's within sight of Amsterdam Centraal station, and it's handy for local public transport. It's right on the edge of Amsterdam's old town with lots of bars and restaurants and coffeeshops within minutes walk, you can walk to Dam Square and the main shopping areas of the city in about 10 minutes and the Museum district in about 25 minutes. I'd definitely stay here again.

Our room overlooked what seemed to be a bit of a 'party' street, and as such the soundproofing of the windows could have been better. But unless you're a very light sleeper it's unlikely to be a big issue.

Excellent location. Breakfast very good, very polite staff.

The night room 445 was very noisy, the room was changed to the room number 337. We felt that we sleep in the street, extremely noisy and when the room was changed to the room number 256. A very beautiful and nice room but was with door to the neighbours. We expected for a more quiet room for a 5 stars hotel.
