Large room with great water views

PLEASE provide 3+ ply toilet roll paper -- pathetic 'tissue paper' type was WAAAYY below other room standard & frankly "penny wise pound foolish" as it was necessary to use about three times as much than normal (for 3+ ply). Really detracted from an otherwise great room/accommodation. Also, we might have missed something but the 'restaurant' downstairs was not promoted at all (or at best very minimal) & we really weren't aware of it until we left after 2 nights. Another suggestion is that an automatic membership sign up for the services club across the road would have been nice.

The view across the bay was stunning. Proximity to restaurants and cafes along the marina was a hop, skip and a jump. The Indian restaurant was a good choice. Waking in time for sunrise on a waterview balcony room is a must.

We were going to dine at Ebb & Flow, the restaurant attached to the hotel. The one staff member was a bit grumpy when I'd asked if we could sit at the window table available. He told me it was only set up for one. Seeing as there was only two other diners in the restaurant, it wouldn't have been difficult to add another plate and cutlery to the table. Feeling bad about our request, we opted to leave and had Indian along the marina.

The water views are spectacular, the rooms are so quiet, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The decor was recently upgraded again so it has such a modern, industrial and chic look that complements the spacious rooms. It is also within walking distance to everywhere we like to go around the Bay.

Nothing really to say here. We've tried to stay a couple of times at other bay accommodation but keep coming back to the Esplanade. It's sad that the restaurant is temporarily closed but hope it opens again soon.

We loved we could walk over to the soldiers club we had a reservation for valentine’s dinner . We could drive van in under cover unfortunately for us we had a pod on top so it wasn’t gated it was free parking.Staff were so accommodating and took a bottle up to our room for me before she closed up .We picked breakfast night before but had to pay it wasn’t free but we could have it delivered to our room an we sat on our balcony to have it ..l would definitely go back and would love to stop two nights to benefit there relaxing room which also has compfy seating an chip drinks machine.

Free breakfast would have been great.

We arrived into Bateman's Bay via bus from Canberra--took about 2 hours. The Esplanade is about 4 blocks from the bus stop. You can take the river walk to the hotel, which is nice. The office is only open during the day and early evening, so get everything you need during business hours. I'm not sure how they manage late arrivals. We arrived in the morning so they held our bags for us until our room was ready and suggested we take the lunch river cruise that departed near the bus stop. It was a nice cruise with informative over-the-loudspeaker dialog. The included lunch was fresh caught fish and chips with a soft drink. Alcohol was available too, for an additional cost. Our room at the Esplanade was comfortable and quiet and we liked its convenient location. Staff was very helpful and allowed us to do laundry while we were there. We enjoyed Bateman's Bay but a day's visit was just right.

The accommodation was exceptionally comfortable, with excellent views overlooking the Clyde River and out to sea. Location was great with a restaurant on the ground floor serving breakfast and dinners and directly opposite it is the Batemans Bay Soldiers Club with great amenities. Premises is in close proximity to the town and wharf where river cruises leave from.

There was nothing I could fault about the premises

The location was lovely, the room was spacious and felt very luxurious, the balcony was cute. The room was clean and warm (given how cold it was outside). It was also so quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was clean and large (a rarity to have space to move around in a hotel bathroom!). The staff were lovely, parking was easy, and the additional facilities in the hotel were cool. The bed was comfy, and there was room for our bags with some desk space left over. We ordered breakfast from the place downstairs and they were so lovely and offered to bring it up to us. While it wasn't the best food we've eaten, it hit the spot and did the job. Otherwise a lovely stay and we would 100% stay here again.

There are only two things we'd alter about the room. The first would be to add a little additional lighting in the centre of the room; it was quite dim in the evening. The second is to include a second armchair (only because it's got the space to do so). Otherwise, we couldn't fault it.

Room was spacious and modern with a separate bedroom and lounge area. Both rooms were meticulously clean. The bathroom was separate from the toilet and the shower was fantastic. The bedding and Manchester were of excellent quality. There are two balconies and the view of the river is glorious. This is a strict non-smoking hotel so thankfully you can sit out and enjoy views Highly recommend this property We will be returning

I have stayed at this motel a number of times, I love the rooms, modern, roomy and clean. The beds are very comfortable. I normally stay roadside but this time I stayed bayside and what a great view of the bay. The only thing missing is room service, everything else is great.

As mentioned above no room service available, but they do have a restaurant downstairs and the club directly across the road from motel, I travel for work and the last thing I want to do after a long day of travelling is go out to get dinner especially in winter when it's cold, that's my only complaint.

The room was just lovely and cozy from the moment i walked in, it was set to 22 degrees on a cold rainy afternoon. the lighting was on and stylish globes fitted through out,. The ocean view room was just great, much better than the roadside! ive stayed a almost every motel/hotel in Batemans Bay due to work commitment every month and this one would be up there with the top alongside the Lincoln downs. the bathroom was modern, and all lit up with stylish led mirrors and backings. facility's where clean and the carpet was clean and not soiled like other motels in Batemans Bay the balcony overlooking the river was great and plenty of room for a couple to relax and have quiet evening beverage. the bed was comphy and clean. i will stay again at this place as long as the prices don't go crazy. you won't find a better place to stay this or the Lincoln downs. (this place is very central and a great walk along the esplanade to restaurants and bars. make sure you check out he Indian restaurant on the waterfront, very nice meals and beers on tap!

the water pressure in the shower was not very great at all.
