Beautiful fresh air, the rooms weren’t all cramped together nor directly facing each other- so coffee on the little balcony looked over a pond and grass rather than straight at front doors of the rooms, the staff were incredibly helpful- especially Darryl who was working the front desk on that day and the woman who was cleaning and sorting out all the rooms. Perfect little retreat when you need some quiet.

More a personal inconvenience that I don’t have a car and the walk to town is a bit too long to do in the middle of the day, night, wearing heels etc. BUT Darryl gave me the contact numbers for some local drivers and I was set.

The USB drive in the power point was a bonus, because, while I had my charging chord, I had left my plug at home. This enabled me to recharge my hearing aids. We were glad to get out of Sydney in the afternoon and start on out=r way to visit family in Narrandera and Wagga. Stopping in Picton allowed me to do the Park Run (Starts just behind the Bowling Club every Saturday morning at 8am. Details on Park Run Picton website) on Saturday morning, come back for a shower before leaving the motel to go into town for coffee and breakfast. We also spoke to the motel manager and to other locals and gained information about family history I have in Tahmoor and Picton. And we have sent an email to the local historical society.

Liked everything.

Loved the location - close to everything! The front part of the hotel was just beautiful with little ducks and grass and trees and a pond! We had a spa bath! The room had a great heater and a little kitchenette - perfect for the weekend! There was a laundry! Staff were just so lovely!

All of the pillows were a bit firm - but that’s probably more of a personal thing! The water pressure in the shower was pretty low - and we had just done Spartan so it was hard to wash some of the mud from our skin and hair

The room was very clean and comfortable. Bed was great and no road noise, so we slept very well. The bathroom was clean but could do with some TLC - the grout and sealant could do with replacing. Staff were very welcoming and happy to help with extra cups (and biccies!). Bit sad that the restaurant was not available for breakfast (though I think this is under review) but Picton Social (best coffee shop) is only a couple of minutes away.

As noted, bathroom could do with a little work.

Nice room, Friendly staff Lots of space on the property to relax

Lots of yelling during the night disturbed my sleep. Nothing but snacks available, no breakfast supplied, Loud Washing machine was used during the night & early hours of the morning (4am) Only food available is McDonald's or dominos pizza if you don't have a vehicle. No staff on the property during the night.

When l first drove in l thought..... Wow This place is absolutely beautiful!! The gardens were just unbelievable, the grass was so green and everything was done with pride. I enjoy gardening it is one of my favourite hobbies. I enjoy spending a lot of my time outside. When l opened the door to my room I just thought OMG!! This Motel just keeps the better!! The room was very clean and there is a ceiling fan and also air conditioning. The Manager was very helpful and friendly which was wonderful. I could only stay one night unfortunately. I will definitely be back for another visit. I will definitely recommend this Motel to my friends and family. I can't wait to go back again 😊 Definitely 10/10 The Restaurant was another exceptional addition to the Picton Valley Motel. The Staff were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious, l even was lucky enough to meet the Chef. Definitely 10/10

There was nothing l didn't like

Have stayed here 3 times traveling between Brisbane and Melbourne in the last few months. Each time I was met with a friendly welcome, complete instruction on the property's amenities and room protocols. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The showers are great. Highly recommend for the traveler. Planning another visit soon.

I mostly liked the budget-priced room. As a family with two teenage children, most hotels would fit us in two rooms or a two-bedroom apartment which cost a fortune. At Picton Valley, we got a family room with bunk bed which was big enough to fit even 5 people. They have ample free parking on the premises. All rooms are on the ground floor (motel style), so you can park close to your room. There is a split A/C in the room, even though the photos showed the older window style A/C. The staff were very flexible regarding our late check-in and perfectly arranged it. Thank you very much.

The motel is antique style, but renovated. I personally liked that, but not my wife. So, it is a matter of taste! In particular, the bathroom fixtures are a bit old, but they are still clean and operating (no leakage). Another thing is that we could not easily recognize the entrance at night. If you are coming from the opposite direction on Old Hume Hwy, you have to use the Governors Ln entrance, which leads you behind the motel. Then, you will need to carefully drive the wrong way on the shoulder of Old Hume Hwy for a few meters to the motel entrance.

This location was perfect for my purpose. I was meeting school friends for dinner and didn't want to get caught in Sydney traffic the next morning to get back to Canberra. Not far off the freeway and quiet, so had a good night's sleep. Very clean and tidy. Efficient checkin and out. Will stay again.

All good. Meet my needs perfectly. Great breakfast in Picton with good coffee on my way home.

Room was beautifully furnished. Different from other motels. Quality furniture in a more period era. Restaurant was great and food was good. Bed very comfortable. Staff were very helpful. Very clean.

Remote control needed cleaning. Dirty between all the numbers on it. In this time of covid it should be a must to keep something that most people travelling would be touching . Built up dirt and grime off people's fingers between the buttons on it- not very good.
