Hotel team members were welcoming and extremely helpful. They were always available and sincerely committed to ensuring that guests enjoyed a comfortable stay at this hotel. Neighborhood was very pleasant with great ambience. Since we stayed for 28 days , while booking the room, we requested for a Mini Fridge in our room. The manager already arranged for the Mini Fridge to be kept in our room prior to our arrival and Check-In . And we really appreciate it. There was hot water, creamers, coffee and tea available 24/7 and this was very convenient. The hotel is located minutes away from Central Station, QVB, and other major locations. There is also a good restaurant with great food options and a bar inside this hotel . We absolutely love staying at this wonderful hotel.

Great location, friendly helpful staff
Being insulin dependent I needed a room with a fridge to maintain temperature of my insulin. The staff did put it in the drink fridge in the bar. I’m not sure that it wasn’t frozen so will need to discard it when I reach home. One of the shutters in our room was broken so it let the light in from the building across the road. That lighting stayed on all night. There was no indication that there was no lift to our room which was on the second floor, but the staff did carry our bags up for us. When we arrived there were many takeaway coffee cups at the coffee and tea area but the next morning all cups had disappeared like someone had had a party. We had to go to Hungary Jacks to get coffee

The room was centrally located and simple but perfectly formed. We didn't have any bother being above a pub although we were staying mid-week so cannot vouch for weekend evenings. Really great value for the price in the heart of Sydney.
Tea and coffee facilities in the room would have been great rather than on the landing. Also when we checked out the pub was closed so we knocked on the door to give the the key as we weren't told of any drop box. The man who opened the door was rude and seemed annoyed by our existence. A shame because the ladies who checked us in behind the bar were lovely.

Very nice, welcoming staff. Room was perfect for my needs, which were sleeping, showering and dressing. Bathroom in particular was very impressive. Lovely air-conditioning. Bed and bedding was comfortable. Hanging rack and coat hangers provided, very handy. Was actually considering "pod" accomodation elsewhere, but I'm glad I went with this room instead. This was a small room, which is what I wanted. Location was brilliant, once I familiarised myself with the trains I didn't wanna leave 😁 however there's a lot nearby including takeaway and convenience stores. The pub itself was very nice, had a few drinks and watched some sports
Could use a small fridge/cool box, but that's not a deal breaker for me at all. Had to go up stairs, but that helped me work off all the delicious food I ate in Sydney 😀

Exactly like the photos
Signs in the room displayed the bistro was open during the day however I was turned away when I was hoping to order for an early dinner. It may be worth warning guests about the building being demolished across the road. Jack hammering into concrete with a permit until 1:30am. I asked the workers how long they would be working for and they said the next six months. They started on 21st September 2023. It seems they weren’t working the entire time I stayed - 5 days - but it may be worth checking with the hotel before booking to see if they can find out if your stay may be affected. No kettle or bar fridge in your room

Fantastic location. Old Art Deco staircase was beautiful. Rooms have been refurbished and are neat and comfortable. Check-in is via the Bar area but staff were quick to help me. The bouncer/staff member on the door was very polite and nothing was too much trouble for him. Received a free drink voucher upon arrival.
Be prepared to check in at the bar which can be busy. There is a lovely staircase but it may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.

The location was fantastic, right in the middle of the Sydney CBD. Great value for money as it was under $250, which is almost impossible to get unless you're sharing a bathroom. The bed was comfortable and it was very quiet considering the location.
The bathroom was very tiny. I'm a small person so I was okay, but you wouldn't be able to close the door and open the shower door at the same time.

The room was clean and spacious and the service was good. New towels, toiletries, and water bottle was delivered to outside the room if you had the "don't disturb sign" on the door, I really appreciated this!
The coffee and tea area was located by the stairs and was unfortunately surrounded by many flies, so I didn't use it. My room was not facing the street but a nearby wall so the light from the window and the view wasn't very good. Also: no elevator.

Fabulous location, so easy and central to everything we needed for a weekend escape and show at the State Theatre, as well as all the Sydney galleries and ferry etc.. The bed was super comfy in the Superior King room #7, big room, basic bathroom but very clean. We'll be back again next year for our Sydney escape if the pricing stays as affordable in comparison with other hotels in the area
The traffic noise is out of their control. The windows are double glazed and we stayed at the weekend, so we expected noise from the street and it was all part of the city experience for us. We slept really well so it can't have been too bad! And we normally live in the country,
