The location is the best part. We have been staying her since 2006 and always in the same rooms. We have never stayed in any of the other rooms and only ever stay with spa balcony room. Whale watching from the balcony, while in the spa is the reason we come. Superb views of new mums and their calves. The rooms are airy, great decor, comfy bedding and the staff are always so friendly and happy to give you information on what is happening local as well as reported whale sightings.

Unfortunately during the times we choose to stay, it attracts lots of bugs. Flies and other weird bugs swarming the balcony during the day, and large cockroaches at night. Makes using the spa annoying. It bothered me that the screen doors have been removed from the rooms meaning we had to have the air con on and the balcony door closed. Not wise, many people love listening to the ocean at night, and we couldn’t because we worried about bugs coming in. I’d rather fresh sea air over air conditioning any day.

Beautiful view from our room and lovely food room service from the restaurant downstairs. Lovely, welcoming lady in the reception. Comfortable beds etc.

Very strong smell of bleach when we entered our room. We had to open all the doors to air it. Could still smell it during the night and the next day so more airing of the room was necessary which wasn't good as the weather was quite cold and wet. Also, noticed a thick layer of dust and fluff, on the floor, under our beds, when we looked under our beds etc, to make sure we hadn't dropped anything on the floor, before we checked out. The phone on the side table had a lot of dust on it as well.

Location was great. Beautiful view. Spa was great. The wall tv was absolutely the perfect size for the room. We recently stayed at Noahs on the beach in Newcastle..ocean view room...but yours was way more superior. Nice walk into the Entrance ..weather permitting.

Didn't like that the people in unit next door smoked on the balcony forcing us to close our glass door due to smell.Banging water pipes from other rooms. Detergent ..tea towel and scourer were left for guests to use to wash dishes..glasses..cups after use..but..thought it was very unhygienic that we had to do this in the bathroom sink...right next to toilet.

Room was lovely, beds comfortable, beautiful views, lovely staff. I had help with my bags by staff as I was on crutches.

I didn't realise that on the ground floor you had to walk downstairs. I'm on crutches, so this was a little difficult. I was unable to park my car on-site, not enough parking in the parking outside reception, and my vehicle was too high for the underground parking. A microwave in the room would have been handy. The frosted glass to the shower and toilet was a little off putting in a twin room as I was staying there with my adult son.

Our room had been renovated and was of a high standard. It was large and the bed was comfortable. The accommodation is in a perfect location. Our room faced the waterfront with a spectacular view of the ocean. It was in a more suburban area so was quiet at night.

The building is very old and while the rooms were renovated, the stairs were difficult to negotiate. There was inadequate parking on the street level. As I am visually impaired there was no allocated disability parking and I was unable to walk up from the lower level. Because of this we parked on the street.

Loved it was right near the ocean. Ocean views even though we were on the ground floor. Short walks to everything. Rooms were modern and beautiful. Room was cleaned and beds made daily, it was the best.

The only thing I would say is that it was the best thing ever having the restaurant in the motel. Omg was amazing, views eating for dinner was amazing. The only bad thing was it that they don’t do breakfast dine in breakfast. Would of been incredible if they do breakfast as well

- Very friendly and accommodating staff, specifically Shannon who was so lovely and helpful. - Great location which was convenient to the CBD of the Entrance as well as very close proximity to the beach. - Option for room service as the Ocean Restaurant is within the same building. - Easily accessible parking to the rooms. - Beautiful views from the front. We appreciated our personal courtyard and had a picnic for lunch on the grass.

The open bathroom with the shower and toilet cubicles were something we personally were unaccustomed with.

This is an older motel that has been updated, mostly. Check-in staff are friendly and helpful. The main attraction of our top floor room was the absolutely stunning view of the ocean and the incredible rock formations. Worth staying there just for that! It's a lovely walk along the ocean, and it's possible to walk to the restaurant areas from the motel. There is also a really excellent high-end restaurant attached to the motel, though it is not owned by the motel. Gorgeous food and gorgeous views from the restaurant, as well.

There is no elevator, so you if you are on the top floor you will be schlepping your bags up there yourself. The staircases have not been updated and the tiles could use some attention. There is a minimal guest laundry with one washer and one dryer, but the dryer ate our coins and couldn't operate. As it was a weekend, there was no one to assist in retrieving our coins.

View and location

I don't think I got value for money. I booked using booking.com. My credit card was charged for 370. I called the staff at the hotel. They advised to wait for a day. The next day I had to book for 410. This was extremely disappointing. Booking.com refunded the 370. But I was disappointed that I had to pay 410 instead of 370. Everything ok, except for the value for money bit....I felt I was lured into the booking with 370 and then subsequently charged 410 - very disappointing!!!
