The hotel is old and tired on the outside and in the common areas but the room we stayed in was renovated. It was big enough for 3 of us and the beds were very comfortable. The room was clean. The big smart TV was nice to switch on and lie in bed after a big day out. The staff are very friendly. The pool area is nice and big and the view over the port is enjoyable while you sip your wine while watching the kids play.

It may very well still be undergoing renovation, but in the common areas need some loving. The lights in the lifts don't work and it is very run down looking. Being slightly older it is not soundproof and you can hear water running or kids crying at certain times. There was no daily cleaning service. Parking was not secure or covered.

Absolutely amazing! This is the second time we’ve stayed here and it truely is just fabulous. Upon check in the lady informed us the restaurant was closed for the holidays but no problem she had back up restaurants available straight away! The room was so clean, the housekeepers did a fabulous job and the beds were extremely comfortable. I love our tv had wifi and all the streaming apps. We went for a dip at 7am in the pool and the pool and pool area were extremely clean and the area is just so nice. Loved the complimentary coffee in the lobby too!

Absolutely nothing

The bedding was super comfy and cosy. Great central location.

I was surprised to find that other than a single teaspoon, there was no other cutlery in the room. I was also expecting a toaster which there was not. The fridge was also teeny tiny and we had to remove the hotel drinks for purchase to be able to use the fridge for our items. All good, we made it work.

The location of this motel was excellent - dead centre of everything. It was a bonus to have a restaurant within the building. Staff at reception were lovely & helpful. Car park catered for a Chev ute which was good. Seems silly, but the milk was a decent size - not those stupid little pods which one never seems to get enough of.

Only 1 lift was working. As you got out of the lift on the floor it looked like a construction zone (safe but not completed). Car parking was not secure.

Central location, ample parking, large rooms, great views and outlook from most rooms, swimming pool, newly renovated rooms, comfortable bed. Bar and restaurant on site or alternatives a short walk away. Excellent value for money, especially the Sunday night special.

Chairs in the room are not comfortable, need a small table for in-room dining, the pool area and entrance from the car park should be next on the list for renovation. Small design issues with placement of the TV,

We loved the whole experience honestly Lovely helpful staff, excellent views Very comfy beds.

Only concerns, we asked for a different floor last minute at the desk on arrival so we understood the rush clean, however the room cld have used a little maintenance, things like build up in bathrooms, non working lights, non working adjoining room door on our side and a casing on one of the main visible power points was falling off. Just small maintenance items, otherwise we absolutely loved our stay

The beds where really comfortable

The bathrooms could really do with a make over and the lighting could be better.

Stayed here not realising it was the same hotel we'd stayed at under its former name. The reception staff were friendly and enthusiastic. The room was tidy and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was very quiet as well - perhaps because the restaurant wasn't open? Also, Cotton Mill in the same complex for breakfast is really nice.

Like any older venue, it shows signs of wear. Don't let the small areas of rust externally, nor the hastily changed exterior sign (looks like it was done with red nikko hahaha!) put you off. The hotel is clean, spacious, comfortable, and very well positioned. Also didn't like going for a 4am run, and then not knowing the code to get back in (need a code in addition to your room key - don't leave the room without it!)

Everything at the Gladstone Hotel is immaculate, beyond comfortable (beds almost make you cry ) with impeccable manners from all staff. A huge thankyou to your General Manager as she is amazing in her job and makes everyone feel like a million dollars -nothing is a problem for her.

The stupid lifts had us stuck at fllooor 4 all night - lucky ii had a handsome date!!

Although it's an older property, the recently renovated rooms were great. Staff were friendly and the onsite restaurant seems to be very well attended by not only guests but locals too. Locaiton in main street is also convenient if you want to venture out for other dining options. They've made a great effort to keep an old property fresh and relevant.

Not a real gripe, but the rooms only had a Queen size bed, I prefer a King when travelling with a partner, but the bed itself was plenty comfy.
