A well-run property: clean, modern, good-sized suites, fantastic views, nice well-equipped kitchen, hard floors (although carpet in bedroom), accommodating staff, good location (great breakfast cafe next door).

Pillows were WAY too big AND too firm. Ironically, they sell pillows including one that would have been great to have available in the room, but they weren't. So, not the greatest sleep with neck ache (too often pillows are made to look good on the bed (large), but not good/comfortable for sleeping as was the case here). Both my partner and I were ubhappy about the situation.

The view is spectacular, apartment is large and comfortable. We stayed before and the mattress was too firm last time but this time this was addressed before we checked in, which is good.

Not much really. Some part of the apartment was not cleaned properly before we checked in but once we told concierge someone came in and cleaned it for us shortly after, so we were quite happy with the responsiveness from the staff. The lifts were abit slow, but at least there were notices telling us why. We did get stuck at the carpark boom gate as the code wasn't working initially so had to go back to hotel to get that sorted out again.

Location was brilliant. Right in front of Marina Mirage. There’s an awesome beach club there called La Luna Beach Club. Food was divine there by the way :) Meriton has a good range of bars & eateries below and there is a Woolworths food mart below too. Awesome if you want a light breakfast like cereal/toast, as our suite had a kitchen with all utensils. We had a hire car and you can park underneath. $20 per night it was. If you want to stay away from the hustle snd bustle like Surfers Paradise but want to be still closish to the beaches, this is the place. But get a hire car and it’s 5 mins drive to the beach. Really neat indoor swimming pool & outdoor. Gym is neat too. All in all 10/10 for us.

Meriton Southport is in a beautiful location at Broadwater Parklands, a short tram ride away from the excitement of Surfer's Paradise, but nestled next to the river and having amazing views of the backwaters from every room. The rooms were clean, with a well-appointed seating area and a fully-furnished kitchen good for a couple. There is a small balcony with each room with a couple of chairs to enjoy the sunset over Tambourine Mountains. The bed and choice of pillows were great, and the darkening curtains worked as intended. The check-in was super quick and the staff left us a thoughtful card and a chocolate. The best part of the stay was the pools - temperature-controlled indoor and outdoor pools - with jacuzzi and sauna. The gym was pretty well stocked as well. The amenities in the rooms were replenished upon asking but there was no housekeeping for three nights. Meriton Southport has a Woolies Metro and a BWS in the same building so you shall be never short of groceries or wine. The hotel is right next to the tram station which will take you either to Helensvale for the theme parks, or to Broadbeach via main attractions of Gold Coast. The Australia Fair shopping centre is one station away.

We stayed for three nights and would have loved housekeeping on the second day. The driving in and out of the car park was easy but finding the entrance for the first time took a little while. The location is good if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Surfer's but not great eating options. There are some restaurants nearby but they don't stay open too late.

The apartment was modern and spacious. King size bed was comfortable. Apartment had everything we needed and staff were happy and prompt to provide extra amenities when required.. Could even ask for a clothes airer to hang our clothes to dry instead of using the clothes dryer. Effective air conditioning in both living and bedroom areas. Windows could be opened a little bit. Beautiful outdoor pool, spa and wading pool. Also had an indoor lap pool, spa, sauna and gym with clean shower facilities. There was a supermarket and a handful of restaurants right downstairs. Close to the light rail. The view of the beach and the super moon was great!

Had to pay an extra $20/day for parking. The toilet paper was way too thin. Water pressure in the vanity basin was very low. (Brushed my teeth in the kitchen sink instead.) No face washers were provided (but it seems that's quite common these days). The shower door opened in a manner that didn't allow the bath mat to be placed on the floor directly where you step out. Nowhere to put your clothes in the bathroom. The dining and desk chairs were too low. Lifts very slow to arrive. Bedside clock and tables needed to be wiped down. Vacuuming and dusting/wiping surfaces could be improved, especially when only done every 3 days.

The overall experience was great, I and my occupants enjoyed the stay and it was a great venue, very convenient for the purpose of our trip.

Upon check-in and check-out staff were completely rude and very insensitive, yes we were late to check in/ check out because it was rushed, had few technical issues, however making remarks and giving us insensitive comments, which I assumed was because we were of colour was totally not needed. At the end of the day, we paid for a room/apartment for 5 days, we deserved to be treated like every other guest in that suite/hotel. Racism is definitely not tolerated by me and my friends, we will have to reconsider that experience before booking there. This is my second year in a row booking Meriton South Port, this experience put me off.

I liked everything. The room was clean and comfortable. Kitchen and laundry were fully equipped, and they were in good condition to use. The view was fantastic. Good water pressure in the shower. All the facilities (in door pool, our door pool, spa, sauna and gym)are in very good condition. Woolworths and liquor shops are just downstairs in the same building and it was very convenient. Very convenient car park. All the staff were very helpful and kind.

I go to Meriton southport regularly. I remember the last time I stayed in the same type of room and it got a bluetooth speaker. I thought everyroom has it so i didn't bring mine. However, the room I stayed this time did not have a Bluetooth speaker. It would be great if every room has Bluetooth speaker.

My partner and I were really suprised by the room we had we were not expecting the view we were given and it really made our stay. We had a few hiccups with parking due to personal plates not being entered properly but was quickly rectified by hotel staff. We also had issues with excess water getting out from the shower but wasn’t and big bother for us. Overall was very impressed and going to be making this hotel our hotel of choice for our stays on the Gold Coast

I feel as if the bedding could be comfier but that’s just because I’m picky so couldn’t fault anything with our stay.

We stayed for 2 weeks and couldn’t have been happier. The location was great - there’s a supermarket downstairs, a great cafe with amazing coffee & food, and the G Link tram stops right across the road. It’s also very close to some nice walking tracks. Having an apartment with a fully equipped kitchen & own washing machine/dryer came in handy, it felt like home. The outdoor pool & spa was the perfect temperature & I loved using the sauna!

The lifts occasionally took a little longer than expected to get up and down, but otherwise there are zero complaints.

The location is excellent, with cafes, restaurants, supermarkets and a railway station close by. The staff at the reception desk showed great enthusiasm and friendly service attitude; The sea view suite has a great view and spacious room area. Regrettably, however, the cleanliness of the room was not up to the expected standard. During our five-night stay, the sheets and covers were not changed, the bathroom and kitchen were not thoroughly cleaned, and household items such as paper towels and garbage bags were not replenished in a timely manner.
