Location, lifts, flat ground in Hastings Street, having a washing machine , clothes dryer, ironing board, good iron, strong shower, availability of being able to get more toilet paper, dishwashing sachets for sink, washing machine and dishwasher. This was very convenient when only staying a week and needing to fly out so pointless buying all those products. Friendly staff. Access before check- in time to other areas until room was ready when too early.

The shower drain was very small and shower door did not stay closed so water can escape onto the bathroom floor if you don’t put something heavy against the door to prevent the leakage.

We love staying at the Mantra French Quarter. It’s in the best location right across from the beach. We park the car and barely use it. We had a two bedroom apartment with full fridge and kitchen, and large balcony. No dining table inside, only on balcony. Two lovely bathrooms, and a side wall laundry. Excellent air conditioning. White linen. Very clean. Rooms not made up on a 3 night stay, which is fine for us. Excellent pool area, kids love it. Lifts come quickly. Three tvs! Close to clean Bbq area which worked for us for dinner one night.

Previous guests had put washing powder in wrong slots and washing machine had small smell and needed a clean (not checked by cleaning staff- that’s ok - I cleaned it). Unfortunately drawer dishwasher did not clean at all (turned on but just washed the minor food scraps around everything, notified front desk). These were minor issues not affecting stay.

Location was excellent. We encountered three different people at reception who were all extremely efficient, friendly and helpful. We didn't use the pool but the area looked first class and a great attraction for families with young children.

We arrived at the Hastings Street entrance and discovered that reception is around the back of the building. That needs to be better communicated to customers. The reception doors are difficult to open (and keep open) when wheeling luggage. Automatic sliding doors would be a big improvement. The living area was cramped (no dining table) and the shower/spa required a big step to enter. We're not complaining; these are genuine suggestions to make the venue even better. Time for a make-over/update, perhaps?

The size of the room exceeded our expectations. It was the perfect size for a family. We were poolside and the view from the room was fabulous. Kids loved the pool and the location was amazing being right on Hasting's street. Having three bathrooms was amazing. The patio's in front of our room and the ability to open up the sliding doors widely was fabulous.

I wouldn't say this is something I didn't like, more of a suggestion. The kitchen didn't have Oils, salt & pepper, paper towels, simple condiments and food wrap products like glad wrap. When you're travelling for a week, it's difficult to take these things home.

Facing Hasting St great vibe location security was great and the foyer was clean

Possibly a little more pans and kitchenery items for cooking internally, the fan in the bedroom was a bit noisy, otherwise a great location, little loud at night but bearable, we would defintley stay again - only in the renovated apartments North quarter Level 3 only.

The location is about as good as it gets in NH

I arranged for some sentimental bracelets to be delivered to the hotel as I had left them in a previous hotel. Although the Australia post website was suggesting they had been delivered, 6 days later, the hotel still weren’t able to locate them. I had messaged the hotel in advance to give them the heads up but got no response. This was disappointing as I had to ask pretty much daily and nobody could find them.

The facilities are excellent for little families. The pool is perfect with little pockets for all different levels of swimming confidence. The location was excellent being so close to hasting street and the beach. Staff were very helpful when needing a few things and were thankful for that.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times in the same month. The first time we stayed, our room was more modern and comfortable. The second time we stayed our room wasn’t as updated and was very tiny. The gardens out the back of our back door were very messy and we couldn’t get the pram through it. The TV was also basically in the floor which wasn’t great when having a crawling baby. It would be ideal to have it wall mounted.

Initial room 127 was terrible but after complaint we were moved to a better room 220 that had been partly refurbished. Booking site did not distinguish between rooms that had been refurbished & those that had not! All were advertised as 5star! Staff very understanding & moved us after 2 nights to a much better room, though still not a walk-in shower, which is only available in deluxe 1 bedroom units. Not explained on website for booking????

Location is the absolute best. Modern rooms with good amenities. Friendly reception staff. All crockery and cutlery included. Lovely pool and grounds.

There were a few long black hairs in the floor. Our stovetop did not work. We asked for this to be attended too however nothing was done. Thankfully there was an electric frying pan we could use. I don’t like the way the hotel provides a top and bottom sheet with a “raw” doona in between with no cover. Our doona had a couple of stains. Why can’t the hotel provide a doona cover? This would be more hygienic.

Lovely staff. Great location. Walk right out to Hastings street and across the road to the beach. Hotel has a nice pool and bbq area. Good air con. Clean rooms. Our room was peaceful and quiet when doors closed. Had everything needed for a weekend stay. Secure rooms and carpark. Multiple exits. Would definitely stay again for the location and convenience.

Very expensive for what you get. Older style hotel and rooms. Sliding door window tint was peeling so it looked dirty. View of pool is great from room, but other guests can see straight into the living room, main bedroom and shower if you don’t close the blinds. One tiny milk provided for 4x adults. And also there was only one elevator on our side and it was small and slow. These arent really cons that should stop you from staying, but thought it’s good just to mention. I would stay here again for location and convenience.
