Staff were friendly. The location was great (close to the CBD but on a quiet road). The room was clean and tidy. For an older style building the room fit out is done well for a pleasant experience. For a budget stay, this is great value for money.

Would be great to see secure WiFi implemented. In today's environment it's a necessity. It's a low cost solution (just need to configure the network settings and provide guests with the password) that bumps up cyber security for your own company and customers.

The room was spacious with a pleasant aroma. There was ample parking available, and the central location was convenient. I'll definitely choose to stay at this motel again. The reception staff, whether owners or managers, are very welcoming and helpful.

Avalon Motel is a good place to stay, very good location close to shops. It was clean and organise. This motel has everything thing what you need for a short time.

Something to improve is WiFi was not connecting to our devices and one of the shower head was difficult to adjust cold and hot water.

The owners are amazing we came home from outings to find the heater put on so we came back to a warm and clean house, rubbish was removed everyday there were clean towels all the time There were new shampoos and soap left everyday

Located in the center of town made it an easy Five minute walk to Main Street. Jump in the car and straight on the highway and go in any direction

The milk and cookies everyday were a fine addition. The landlord also negotiated a fairer price with me after the Covid lockdown. If I happen to travel to Mount Gambier in the future, I would choose this place again.

I think there may be something wrong with the air-conditioner. I turned it on to 31 degrees but when I was standing beneath, it was blowing cool air. Very strange but might be because there were too many functions to choose. Also, the position of the television screen was very awkward. I was late when I arrived, but I think a quick introduction to every facility would be nice. It doesn't even have to be in person, you can write some of the main points on a piece of paper and leave it on the table.

Spacious, comfortable, quiet yet central location, great location overall, electric blankets and air con. Clean, quality towels and linen. Good brand of tea, easy to use tea making facilities. Park at you door. I've paid a lot more for a motel room in Mt Gambier and they have been no where near are comfortable as the Avalon. That's why I keep returning.
