The staff were very friendly! The location was close to the main strip of shops and it was ideal for a couple days stay. The TV in the room was smart and overall functioned quite well. The spa, sauna and gym were in overall good condition and I was happy with my experience.

Unfortunately it gets a bit loud in the rooms having the hotel restaurant just downstairs from the rooms. This and the walls were quite thin meaning we could hear the people next door. The TV also would cut out a bit when you first started a movie. Then it went back to normal.

The Spa was the high - light discovery & friendly staff especially the room attendants So helpful go out of their way to check your comfort - provide support only have to ask- provide with what you need ,extra towels etc simply wonderful bunch .! The beds are so cosy & clean -warm, comfortable especially now it's getting even cooler! absolutely superb! Lovely family atmosphere,& tasteful decor in main central area, & lounge area for sitting relaxing drinking coffee & chatting outside, the rooms & tables for activities, use the space to write ,do puzzles multiple uses... Wonderful home away from home ...

View wasn't the best, maybe the stairs but ...good exercise !

Bed, room, decor, staff, they made the place , dinner exceptional , great space between tables, menu easy to understand and great selections of wines , beers and drinks for any children . Also they had a great play area for children where parents could watch them while they ate.

Nothing , I couldn’t find anything to complain about , thought I might not like the stairs , but to my surprise they were built with the exact spacing and rail to negotiate without any hassle at all and gave a great lookout on to the restaurant .

We stayed in a number of Pub accommodation throughout our trip and the Lighthouse stood out heads and shoulders above them all. The moment you walk in to the hotel the ambience is peaceful, clean and welcoming. The room was beautiful, spacious and pristine. For once a room that actually looked like the pictures. There is a restaurant on site and the meals did not disappoint either. This is one accommodation that will leave you wishing you had stayed longer. We will be back.

There was nothing not to like.

It was spacious and very comfortable. The TV was just the right size for the room. There was room to put our bags without tripping over them. We were able to eat at the restaurant instead of looking for a place to eat outside.

The pedestrian light beeping all the time, we had to close the window to block the noise. There weren't enough pillows for someone to be able to read at night. Not enough power points to plug all the devices in. The shower head is too big and the water spread too far out of the shower.

Lights were very bright, and there was no option for dimming or bedside lamps. Powerpoint for the kettle was not near the cups, microwave and coffee, instead it was under the tv. Extra towels in the room would have been nice. Although admittedly we did not ask for these. Window frame had areas of mould from condensation. Mattress was firm, which is not my preference. Water temperature in the shower fluctuated.

Very clean and modern executives room with spa bath. Opening windows, good reverse cycle AC, large fridge, microwave, sink toaster and kettle, good TV, meals can be delivered to your room. Staff friendly. Would recommend and will definitely stay here again.

I think the fact the spa was out of order should have been advertised/ on their website, or even staff advised when asking where it was, so people didn’t put on bathers and then go out to realize out of order. A few guests were disappointed.

The location of the Lighthouse Hotel was nice and central. The rooms clean, beds comfy and just one floor up from the dining room which had a great play area off the main dining room for little ones to explore. The rooms had everything we needed for our stay and the staff were great and more than helpful.

I think next time we stay we might have a room with a window, but apart from that if you were just stopping over for the night it would not matter.

Love the roomy bathroom and the room itself, all the storage space, the fact that there is a microwave as well as some cutlery & crockery (enough to cover all basic meal needs). Perfect lighting (not the annoying dim lighting that most accommodations have these days), a downlight for each side of every bed and a switch within reach for it. Absolutely central to the town, and 100m to the bus interchange. Even the fact that there was a decent sized rubbish bin was brilliant (sounds silly but those pesky little bins that other places have, are pointless for visitors who like to shop!).

Wow, I have to struggle to make something up, but I will admit that the TV screen was too large for me, but that's so far from being a real problem!

The accommodation was comfy, clean and in good overall condition. The restaurant menu was great and the meals we ordered were a generous size, full of flavour and a reasonable price. Desserts were lovely. All staff were friendly and polite. There was even a face painter at the restaurant, which the kids loved. We’ve stayed here before for the Devonport Soccer Cup and will stay again.

A tea towel in the room would have been helpful.
