Members of my family and I have been staying at Ky Country Motel fairly regularly now for some years, and we now regard Karen and her family as friends. We often travel to Ky with family issues such as the bereavement of an older family member, and to describe Karen and team as supportive under these circumstances is an understatement. The rooms are always immaculate and fitted out well. Anything extra required such as milk or towels is never a problem. The fact that there are tables and chairs at the front of each room, and especially the barbecue area at the back of the property (complete with chooks), means that a stay at Ky Country motel doesn't require you to be 'stuck' in a motel room, but that you can enjoy the outdoors weather permitting. It's a great place for extended family to stay for this reason. There has never been an issue with unruly people staying in other rooms. Having stayed at a number of places at Ky over many years, I would not elect to stay anywhere else, and thoroughly recommend to anyone needing accommodation in Ky.

Absolutely nothing

The location was perfect. If you blinked, you would miss the driveway but this is a good thing. I forgot to lock my car the first night and all my things were still there, it was safe. The room was lovely, I was extremely happy. Karen came and introduced herself, and said if I needed anything just to let her know. This is very rare nowadays, she also came and said goodbye when i left too. Very warm country hospitality, that makes you feel special. Thankyou a lot Karen, a truly beautiful lady.

There was nothing i didn’t like.

The owner of the hotel was wonderful and extremely helpful. She communicated what’s on and happening around the area, and answered all questions. She was very understanding when one of the children was unwell and we needed assistance with extra bedding. She offered to let the children use her sprinkler during hot weather. Overall would highly recommend

It was really clean, we were pleasantly surprised and the kids loved it. The rooms were perfectly air conditioned as it was so hot outside. It was close to the zoo and to the town centre, perfect for our stay. Parking was right outside our door. They have a little garden which was enough for the kids to play around plus they loved the bunny and chooks as an extra touch.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Bins were handy out the front of rooms spread out along frence, which made it easy to dispose of rubbish adequately. A small, little grassed area at the end of the property was well maintained. In the back corner was a little fenced area for their pet chickens and a friendly Muscovy duck that wagged its tail and said hello with its husky hiss. Great little atmosphere overall and a short walk to get dinner close by.

The only thing I would say was the bathroom door was inconvenient to open when the front door was open or vice versa. They would hit or be in the way of each other.

Spacious room with everything provided for a comfortable overnight stay. Nice little thoughtful touches with chocolates provided in the room. We loved that hot chocolate was available to drink as well as tea and coffee. The lady in reception was friendly and the air conditioning was on for our arrival. Would stay here again if we were up this way.

No milk for our hot drinks was provided in the fridge. We brought our own.

The tv remote was a bit sketchy, probably needed new batteries. We needed to move the decorative plant out of reach of children because it had pebbles in the pot.

The management rang me the night before to let me know I could check in at 11 as I was travelling 3 hours to attend a funeral. I thought that was so fantastic as I was able to get to motel and then attend funeral. The rooms were nicely presented, beds comfy as and pillows and just a great place to stay.

Lovely welcoming staff and very clean room with some nice touches (biscuits/hot choc), the heating was wonderful after a day working out in the cold. Block out blinds and quiet location was a bonus. Really enjoyed our stay here, will stay again!

Really comfy bed, icy cold air conditioning, and nice quiet spot. We had a great night’s sleep and will definitely stay again when we’re in the area next.

The entry driveway is a bit tight so be careful if you have a large car.
