Although the room was small, it was lovely, but very nice and cozy. All we needed. There was a small deck out to the garden which was nice to sit on. The bed was very comfortable and the room was really clean and modern. We were able to watch netflix in the evening. There was a pool table and lots of board games provided. All the maps and directions were available which really helped with our driving trips. Breakfast was fantastic, one of the best we have had at an accommodation. Kept us full for the whole day on our driving trip. We stayed for dinner on the Saturday night, and it was great. Avoided the Easter crowds. Before dinner we took a bottle of wine down to the rivers edge with supplied pillows and picnic blanket. It was so peaceful and lovely. The management could not do enough for us. They thought of everything. There was even an Easter egg at our door on Easter Sunday! Easter bunny must have come!!?

There was nothing that we did not like, even the weather was brilliant. Town was a bit too crowded so we were very happy with where we were staying.

The location is amazing, backing out onto the Yarra River where they provided seating and a camp fire if necessary. A short drive into town or you could take the warburton trail which takes about 20 mins to walk to the nearest pub The Alpine. The owners greeted us on arrival and explained everything in great detail. The room had its own verandah where you could sit out and admire the view. Bed was very comfortable with pristine linen. Cannot fault this accommodation in any way, attentative staff, amazing breakfast included in the price and a wonderful atmosphere. Free WiFi was great as mobile data was a little temperamental at times. Designated smoking areas around the property also. Accommodation also provided an additional usb charger incase you forget or need more than 1 point.

Lack of storage for clothes if staying for longer than 2 nights. However big wardrobe with a shelf and 1 bedside drawer.

What a beautiful setting, everything about Oscar's on the Yarra is perfect. Christine and her team are amazing and very accomodating. I was so impressed, I started writing the review in my head as soon as we'd arrived. Was going to say the only regret I had was not booking another night, but we ended up staying another night anyway. Did I say the team is gracious? Nothing is too much trouble. Great rooms, amazing breakfasts (as you'll hear in other reviews), and exceptional hosts. With just a 5 min drive to Warburton, Ocars' on the Yarra enjoys an enviable position away from the highway, and is the perfect spot for relaxing by the river. See photos. What more could you want? A gorgeous old building in picturesque grounds with huge oaks and pines and the Yarra River bubbling past out back. We visited during heat wave conditions so the river and the room air conditioning was much appreciated. Rooms are compact but very comfortable made better by the room’s French doors onto a small patio with table and chairs. Hot breakfast and coffee was delicious. Owners very welcoming. There are several lounge areas plus a big deck out back and a big billiard table. Would be an excellent place for a groups of friends/family etc.

There are a couple of bigger rooms which I would try for next time.

The serenity of the place was incredible. Exactly what I was looking for to come to after a long stressful work schedule and just before Christmas. I loved the quiet, relaxing nature where my son and I could unwind reading a book or just listening to the birds and the flowing river or simply walking around the well mowed garden. Christine and family were very warm, and we loved the breakfast served on the balcony.The location is only a few minutes away from cafes and shops, and many sightseeing as well. Definitely want to go back with friends and family to enjoy the campfire.

It was not inconvenient, but I would have preferred to have a closed cupboard to leave clothes and bags instead of leaving on a bench.. There was a large drawer for the vanity, though.

Good sized room with Large, comfortable King size bed. Great shower pressure and water temperature in bathroom. Heating and aircon worked well. Nearby activities- Close to the rail trail track if you want a nice flat, leisurely bike ride. Easy 10 minute walk to main strip of shops and cafes along the track. Excellent breakfast provided in dining area. For a good meal out try the Warburton Hotel nearby with 10 different parmas to choose from! Yummo. Oscars had plenty of space for parking and enjoyed a few games of pool in lounge room. Situated right near the river with chairs provided to relax in. Beautiful natural views and grounds.

Walls between rooms a little thin as could hear muffled conversations coming from room next to ours. Didn't really bother us that much though as all guests were quiet at night.

The staff made us feel right at home and were very kind and accommodating to us. The breakfast consisting of home made granola, fresh berries and plain yoghurt was delicious and you could also order a personalised hot breakfast of eggs, bacon, mushrooms, spinach & tomatoes. It was very wholesome and yummy. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is situated close to the bubbling clear Yarra River, surrounded by a selection of native eucalyptus and old English trees, with abundance bird life. It is a very peaceful and healing place to be. We highly recommend it.

The external veranda lights are quite strong at night but you are able to block them out. Incidentally, they do go off automatically at 10pm. So all is good.

The location is very tranquil while being close to the township. The staff were friendly and welcoming and communication was excellent both prior to arrival and during my stay. The breakfast was generous and tasty. I note that apart from breakfast, the in-house restaurant is closed (this was communicated ahead of time and didn't bother me) - there are plenty of dining options in town and the owners are happy to make recommendations. I enjoyed my visit and would happily return one day.

Big Breakfast was included which was fabulous. Came with real coffee and not just an instant one, so that was a lovely bonus, all included in the room rate. Had breakfast out on the balcony of the dining area. The Views were sensational, overlooking the river and the mountains. Amazing! Christine was our lovely host, she was so helpful, and such a lovely lady to deal with. Highly recommend staying here. Best place in Warburton. The guest house was spectacular, such a beautiful period style building. The common areas were great, lovely large formal lounge area, a billiard room with tv for guests to use. The grounds situated on the river were well maintained just amazing!! Definitely will be back.

Nothing to fault, it was a perfect stay!

Our family stayed for 2 nights, definitely the best choice. Not as busy as other scenery spots, Very relaxing and peaceful especially by the river just behind the accommodation. Incredible clean, comfortable room. other than hot breakfast, we had our Easter special dinner which is tasty. last but not the least, we appreciate the warm heart service received from the owner. Will be back again since it is such a good spot to recharge in any type of weather and season.
