Very quaint, well maintained, clean hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable. Very nice breakfast and the patio outside had two large herb gardens and beautiful flowers. Food was very fresh and the apricot/cheese danish was absolutely delicious. We stayed one night and were only in this town because friends live in the area. It was a good choice.

The only complaint is that it is not air conditioned and we visited during an unusual heat wave. With the windows opened, it cooled down enough so we could sleep. It is a little bit dated, but the older style wood work added to its charm.

Excellent location especially for bikers and cyclists with covered parking. Food is top based on local farming and delicacies. Breakfast is great even by Austrian stamdards and Ausrians are world champions of hotel breakfasts. Besides, food is served by a tiny Czech supermodel.

There were a few dead giant mosquitos on the wall of my room but maybe they actually were trophies from an impressive mosquito hunt, who knows?

The breakfast was really the one thing dat was above expectations: a machine to make your own fresh orange juice, eggs, etc. The location is good (near the highway and close the monastery)

It says: upon request you can (with extra costs) ask for a child bed. We didn't needed it, but when we arrived in our room, they did put it there. So we said we didn't need it. No problem, but we didn't requested it. They could have asked in advance. Something to check: the lights in the breakfast room where flickering many times.

lack of some basic facilities in the room like tea / coffee making facility, hot water kettle. But maybe it’s standard in local Austrian hotels. This was our first night in Austria so our expectations were different

The location was perfect, 1 minutes from the autoroute, and it was easy and simple to get access on foot to the abbay and the city Center of Melk. The kitchen of the hotel was very high-quality, with very tasty local product. The breakfast was delicious.

Fantastic view, nice breakfast, decent beds, big room, relatively quiet location (not too far from a motorway). It was clean and the staff was nice. There was also a huge pile of apples in the lobby.

The room was a little dingy: bathroom door was very hard to close, curtains were too small for the windows, and other small things.

Good room.and bathroom, quiet location and easy to get to Melk Abbey too. Delicious breakfast. Very good secure parking for my bike and lift access from the bike garage to.my room which made it very easy with my bags.

Very attractive location near the A1 motorway. Free, easily accessible private garage, fabulous breakfast, large room and bathroom. Beds were fairy-tale.

Bathroom would benefit from upgrade (leaking shower cubicle).

Very friendly (family-like) hospitality. Excellent food for dinner, rich breakfast. Location is perfect if you want to visit the Melk Abbey. The shower cabin a bit too small but for one (a few) night it is acceptable.

Very comfortable and nice hotel. I particularly liked the breakfast and the view from the terrace. And the beds were very comfy. Overall, it is a good hotel and we had a pleasant stay.

There is no air condition in the room (or there was not in our room) so if it is very hot in the night, it might be a problem, especially if your room is directly under roof.
