Nothing really, we spent only one day in the hotel, but we had a great time in a great location

Keeping old furniture, using old construction elements typical for that area, and complete design of rooms and hotel gives you comfy, warm feel. Breakfast was really great, from selection of drinks and food to lovely servise personnel. Location is fantastic, on small square, opposite from city hall, beautiful position. Also in walking distance from everything.

Not so much to write, just some minor things. Like internet in hotel is way too slow. I was on vacation so i don't mind it, just for email was ok. Second thing is parking, it is behind hotel but sometimes overcrovded so sometimes you need to move 2 cars before to get out. On public parking lot (free for hotel guests) you can find place, but it's narrow, just for driver to get out. But also this is not so big deal, we.uaed bikes, foot more.

The hotel is charming. Just what you expect of an "Old World" Bohemian style respite. The heavy furnature, the warm cozy blankets.

I wasn't impressed with the coffee. Instant! And I'd read so much praise for the wonderful Austrian coffee. I didn't get a good cup anywhere in the country.

The Gasthof was very historic dating back to 1415 and the decor was full of Austrian charm. The breakfast was continental but plentiful with cooked eggs offered daily. The food in the restaurant was delicious so we ate there twice though did try a couple of other eateries in the town too( all lovely).The Staff were very polite, attentive and rightly proud of their culture, all wearing dirndls. St Gilgen is gorgeously quaint. The Gasthof is opposite the colourful Rathaus and just a 5 minute walk to the stunning Wolgangsee lake. It was my favourite town in the whole area and a super base to explore the Salzkammergut. I’m so glad we stayed and would absolutely recommend to others.

Bed was a little firm for us ( but that’s personal taste)and there was no fridge/ safe in the room, but the charm of the hotel made up for this.

Perfect location, easy access for cable car and for the boat to explore wolfgangsee. Sankt Gilgen has brilliant atmosphere. Very nice breakfast.

Location fantastic. Nice room and breakfast. Restaurant food and service superb. The area is incredible for natural beauty.

Could have maybe done with aircon. The weather was changeable so leaving the window open was a bit hit and miss.

Great location for trips around Wolfgangsee. Staff were friendly and helpful with everything. We didn’t have a time to visit wellness but it looked super nice. Maybe next time :)
