Staff - extremely helpful, kind and friendly. The waiter at the breakfast was always in a good mood. Location - great location to go around Bahrain. There are several bus lines close by (at Bab Al Bahrain), you can go from and to airport by bus as well. Note that buses are not on time and can be delayed or can leave earlier than it is written on the schedule. The souq is close or basically hotel is located in the souq :) Close to all the sights. There are no beaches around the hotel, which is reasonable as it is center of the city. Museums, Forts and other sights are not so close to the hotel, but you can take the bus or have a walk there (expect to walk some distances in this case). I spent most of the time outside (even in the heat). Room - it is a very nice room, spacious room with a nice bathroom. There are enough bed linen provided and also towels. Room had a nice balcony, but it is too hot to be outside either way. Bed linen was perhaps really a bit rough, but I imagined worse by the comments I read. It is completely fine and beds are clean. There is one small fridge in the room which is enough for cooling things for the following day. WiFi - I cannot say the WiFi was great, but it was for sure not bad and it was always working. Sometimes it was a bit slow and video calls were weak, but for everything else it was great. For going for some shops, you can go to shops around the hotel as they are okay and not too pricey. Breakfast was great, different types of eggs, Indian dishes, bread, hummus, vegetables, fruits, cereals, tea, milk, coffee, sweets. More than enough. Parking - there is a parking in the garage, but you need to be mindful that Manama has narrow streets. Garage is big enough to park the car, but you need to be really careful and do some manoeuvres going back and forth to get there. Otherwise very good that they offer parking. They provide some free bottles of water daily.

I put lower score because of next things: - there were obviously some rodents fighting? in the A/C ventilation pipes and they were fighting for some time (from midnight till 2 am). That left me with a bitter taste about the hotel - when reported this to the night receptor, he responded he will not do anything about it and I can come in the morning to talk to day receptors - the waiter at the breakfast then said he will check it and solve the issue. The waiter was really nice and helpful. Appreciated a lot - I would suggest to clean the windows and wash the curtains - I have touched the curtains to go on the balcony and they were dusty and smelly

The staff: Mr Waris, Abdo (roomboy) and especially Mr Akram in the reception was very accommodating. Location: It's very near the two event areas where we attended. Walking distance from stores, restaurants and souqs. And what's surprising is that although it's near busy places, we still had a very good night sleep. Not noisy. Breakfast: Although limited, the breakfast was hot and appetizing. We liked the pasta. Parking: Very old but for the rate (price) of the hotel booking, it's def ok. Room: The balcony was a surprise! We can see the Manana Tower and other buildings, the road repair work and the neighborhood from the balcony. Very old carpet and curtains that give an 80's vibe. Comfy bed and linens. The room was big enough for us. Functioning AC. Free bottled water for 2 days, no free coffee sachets. The bathroom was very clean and looks newly renovated.

Breakfast: No coffee creamer (for lactose intolerant like me). Nothing else. We loved our stay there.

The Breakfast was great. They had many options. Continental and Indian breakfast options were available. First day of my stay they had Paved bhaji, second day they served Idli. The taste was also good. The location was also perfect. Very near to the market. The hotel is also nice and clean. The building is old but still it was worth the value.

Everything was great, only thing I would like to point out is that is is difficult to reach the hotel due to its location. But most taxi drivers know about this hotel, so didn't have a problem with that as well.

Location of the hotel is great, there are many restaurants and shops around and it is also very close to the traditional market which we recommend to visit. The hotel staff were kind and professional, they provided us with an underground parking spot and brought us extra room amenities whenever we needed. We didn't try the room service, however the breakfast buffet was very tasty and there were many options to choose. The waiters were very kind, explained everything to us. Overall we had a very nice stay!

Be prepared that the hotel is a bit older, so are the facilities inside. However, the rooms are spacious and very clean! We asked for 2 rooms next to each other, however they were not able to meet our request, probably due to high occupancy during F1 races, which was understandable. The underground parking was a bit dark and we spent some time to find it but otherwise we had no problems at all.

Breakfast was included and it was excellent, in lunch i have ordered Biryani it was freshly cooked and test was v. Good, Parking is okay but entrance is very congested, but basement parking was safe and clean. View from Balcony was very good. Staff was very respectful specially Mr. Waris/Haris(Receptionist) and Mr. Mohammaed (Room service) staff in cafeteria all are very good and cooperative.

Washroom slope was not proper, water staying on floor, Furniture is old needs to be change, internet for 2 devices looks not fine...... If you are using offline map and you missed 1 right turn you will be entry is shopping area where no space in business time so drive carefully....

The staff were super helpful. They helped me solve a challenge with my rental car and were willing to be flexible which was much appreciated. The arrival directions were very clear and helpful, allowing me to easily find the hotel in a very densely populated area

Look, it is far from a 5 star hotel and is very old-fashioned. But I found that very charming and the price was fair as a result.

The biggest advantage of the Oriental Palace Hotel is its location! The main sights of Manama( Bahrain World Trade Center, Fort Arad, Great Mosque of Al-Fatih, Bab Al Bahrain,Bab el-Bahrain Souk) , are within walking distance or 5 minutes by taxi (the Bahrain Taxi app works great) or by bus (there are several bus stops near the hotel)! Breakfast was pretty good, you can order an omelette or fried eggs... The staff is responsive and friendly!

A wish to the hotel staff - to wash windows and provide guests with more bottled water!

Great location in Manama. Breakfast was simple but good. Rooms and hotel were rather old but considering that it was very clean. Next bus Station is easy to reach (Post Office Station). All kinds of shops and restaurants are right next to the hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I like the location of the hotel since the local market is near. Also, the breakfast was perfect.

The only thing that I have a comment on it is the cleaning service. Room should clean everyday and dont rely on the request of the guest. Otherwise everything was perfect

The OPH is a Hotel that has gotten old over time. The Team is very friendly. The breakfast is authentic and very good. The Location is great for exploring the Manama Souq. For those who rather like the old part of a town it‘s perfect. But it is a 3 Star Hotel that could use some renovation here and there. Getting rid of carpet in the rooms would be great and a good wash for the curtains. But all in all it is a great plavmce to sray for travellers.
