The overall welcome was spot on. The patron was knowledgeable and welcoming sharing with us aspects of the house, locality and wider area. The room was just what was needed for us and was well provisioned. The breakfasts were the best with a huge choice of continental breakfast items. The host was attentive and provided the little extras such as towels for the Spa. It was a great place to stay for a few days.

The hill which we walked up and down a lot of times. The 744 bs no longer passes the hotel and was rerouted in 2017 despite what Google says!

Hotel L'Ecrin d'O completely bowled us over. The house itself, build around 1900, has a most interesting architecture, quirky outside features, like a bridge across to the entrance door, a fairly large Koi pond below, balconies surrounding the house, wooden gladding. The host was extremely welcoming and helpful with all aspect of our stay in Spa, including directing us to the best tasting Spa water source, friendly and multi-lingual. The interior of the hotel is beautifully and tastefully furnished and decorated, starting at the reception to lounge and breakfast room (serving a lovely breakfast). Our bedroom was magnificent, large, tastefully furnished, with a wonderful balcony to sit on and rest. Mattress and pillow must have been of excellent quality. There is plenty of parking in the courtyard at the back of the hotel, or on the road. It all felt very safe. In every aspect, the hotel was more than we expected. I do hope that we get another chance to visit!

Perfect hotel just outside of town. Yes it's about 20mins walk and it's a climb back up, but there is free parking or public transport available. The host couldn't enough to make our stay better. He had any information about the area we needed. Parking in the grounds, made things easier. We were upgraded which is always a plus, the breakfast is exceptional with everything of a good quality and fresh. This is a 5* hotel stranded quality , nice area and the town of spa is a good size with some nice shops and restaurants.

There is nothing I can fault about it , from arriving to leaving there was nothing else we would have needed.

The hotel is in an excellent location just outside Spa. The owners, Thierry and Aurora are delightful - very friendly and always available. The hotel has a lovely feel to it and our room was very comfortable and spotless. The bathroom was well appointed and included a jacuzzi bath. Every room has a balcony and there is also a very comfortable sitting room and terrace available for all guests. We particularly appreciated the 24 hour honesty bar. Breakfast is excellent with a good selection. This was our second stay at the hotel and we will definitely be back.

The room was spacious, clean and had everything one could hope for. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful and was always there to greet us with a smile whenever we came down to the lobby/common areas. The whole place is beautifully furnished and decorated with a lot of attention to detail. The breakfast was very tasty and served in a nice atmosphere (in general the atmosphere in the common areas is very nice and welcoming).

The only small disadvantage is that sometimes the noise from the medium sized street out in front of the hotel can be heard (although this also means the place can be very conveniently reached by car).

The bed is very comfortable, the house decoration was so tasteful, the breakfast was very good and most of all the service was excellent there. Thierry was outstanding as a host, thank you ver much for everything!

I cannot say there was something I did not like, but maybe some small fluffy carpets would make the room more cozy and warm. A couch could have also been nice to seat on at times and a small fridge in the room.

Thierry was very welcoming and gave us a map of the area with details of where to go and what to do locally along with a folder detailing the local restaurants and including their menus, contact info etc. Stunning room with a balcony and a spa bath. Breakfast on the sun terrace was wonderful, lots of options and all fresh. A beautiful location, we crossed the road and followed the artist's trail through the forest before breakfast. I can't recommend Hôtel l'Ecrin d'Ô enough, it's a wonderful place to stay.

Not really a complaint, but perhaps a fan in the room would be helpful when the weather is hot.

We loved our stay here. Very welcoming staff, you could really tell they were proud to work there, as they should be. Exceptionally clean place with a lot of attention to detail. We had a room with a spa bath which was just lovely with perfectly explained instructions. Breakfast was included with our booking, it was a really complete and fresh breakfast, a cooked egg, fresh coffee with freshly baked goods, and all you could think of for breakfast, just lovely. And just to top it off, it was very close to the village of Spa, just a 15min walk. Do have in mind it is on a hill so to come back it takes 25min to get to the hotel. If you are looking for a perfect getaway, dont hesitate to book here, we are for sure coming back here. :)

We spent 2 nights at the hotel. I definitely recommend this because you will not be in a rush when wanting to visiting the town and the surrounding. We went to the Wellness as well, very recommended! We ask for a room with a bath and the host made sure that we got what we wanted. It was perfect! Everything was very clean. I have asthma and I always have problems breathing because of the dust or the smell of the hotels where I go. I was surprised that the hotel and the rooms smelled so good and that helped me a lot to be able to sleep. The host is always there if you need something, he took good care of us, specially during breakfast, he was constantly checking if everything was in order. I really recommend this hotel!

Thierry was a very welcoming host, and went to some trouble to accommodate dietary needs. The bed was extremely comfortable, with a choice of pillows. The hotel is in a splendid old early 20th century villa which has been tastefully refurbished.

There is no elevator, so this property wouldn't suit anyone with mobility difficulties, and besides it would be out of keeping with the style of the building. Other than that, which was not an issue for us, there's nothing I can criticise.
