The owner and his wife were extremely friendly and helpful. Location is beautiful with a canal running alongside the former water mill. Lush grass and seating areas on the lawn. Quaint bedroom with exposed beams, seating area, heating, and air conditioning (rare for Europe). Breakfast was simple but good. Owner was very hospitable and provided for my wife's food allergies (gluten and dairy). Great location for visiting the Tongeren antique market, Maastricht, Liege, etc.

A small refrigerator in the room would be nice. Toilet was not cleaned thoroughly at time of check-in.

We loved the amazing architecture of the structure from the 1600s! It was evident that the honors took great care in the renovation. The building maintains the charm of the original architecture even though it has all the modern amenities. The outdoor garden with the willow trees and the babbling brook lulled me to another place and time. The owners were SO kind and welcoming. It was such a lovely place... I would go there again just to spend the weekend. The breakfast layout took my breath away — it looked like something out of a magazine!

Would have liked a welcome pack in room (visitor guide for the area) and coffee/tea facilities would have been nice in the room. Other than that everything very good.

The owners are exceptionally warm and welcoming. The building and rooms are beautiful, cozy and very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely perfect - plenty of selection and a fantastic coffee! A great stop on my bike tour of Flanders.

Location, gardens, room. Hosts. Gardens were magnificent. Decor exceptional. Little bar snd access to drinks in dining area.

The owners are an amazing couple. They live here themselves and do a great job making you feel like home. Very warm and hospitable people, simply does not get better than that. Do not confuse this with a typical hotel. The breakfast is top notch as well. The house is old and historically significant, an interesting place to stay. Parking on site.

A bit remote, there is only a single restaurant nearby that requires reservations. You need to drive to a nearby town for dining and groceries.

Amazing breakfast! The owners were very welcoming and helpful. We even received some wafels and juices to take home. The bed and room were very good; there is garden and terrace.

It is located a bit far from the city center of Tongeren, but since we had a car this was not a big issue.
