We found our stay to be very comfortable! The location itself is far from the city takes about 45 min but the bus line 409 is only 3-5 min away and was very helpful for us. The beach nearby is not as crowded or expensive as the Golden sands (with the exception of the weekend). A supermarket is nearby where we got water from and other essentials. The hallway in the villa is dark but rooms are comfy. The bathroom was clean.

The stench as others mentioned is probably due to not enough airing of the rooms. We stayed there 6 nights and by day 2 after keeping our doors open we got rid of it! That was probably the only thing that was off but manageable! Everything else was as you need! It's a good value for the price!

Villa Katalina is on the northern edge of Varna. Check-in was completed at speed by the lady who met us. The apartment is furnished in a traditional style, and the main room is big, with a great kitchen area with plenty of work surfaces. Eating was at a low coffee table in front of the armchairs. Off this room were a large bathroom and a good-sized bedroom with a pleasant balcony overlooking a terrace - probably a bar or restaurant in the summer season. A driveway leads down from the villa to the main road. There is a good bus service (every 17 minutes) into town. We got off at the Tourist Office where the helpful English-speaking lady gave us information (but, as usual in Bulgaria many tourist sights are closed on Mondays) Nearby was a nice cafeteria-style restaurant called 'Kitchen' with good-priced dishes. From Villa Katalina we could also walk down the main road, off which were various beaches. There are a lot of building sites - Varna is still expanding its tourist accommodation but the beaches of yellow sand are still appealing.

I chose this villa because we have been several times in the past years, including in winter, and we have always been very satisfied. This time, however, there was a complete lack of cleanliness, the walls were covered with spider webs, the curtains were torn and falling from the wall. No one answered the phone during the stay, no one answered messages either on WhatsApp or on booking.com. Considering that a large part of the tourists staying are not from Bulgaria, it is MANDATORY that at least one of the housekeepers of the villa has minimal knowledge of the English language!!!!

Near to the wonderfull beach, really nice seaview from the Balkony, friendly stuff, good towels!the seawater was still warm and the sun shining! A lot of sightseeing in the near surrounding!

the interior needs a lift up! The kitchen equipment was quite poor.

Looks better in reality than in photos. It was clean. (Keep in mind that the location requires a car). Close to the beach. Easy check in/check out. Big apartment. Nice view. Separate rooms with a door that closes. Both the people in the bedroom and the living room have access to the balcony through 2 separate doors.

It was a hot plastic smell in the apartment. The couch in the living room wasn t comfortable at all. But for us it was no dealbreaker neither of these things.

I liked how the hotel was very low scale. It felt safe and we even didn't see any of the other guests or staff. The hotel was also very, very close to a bus stop, which was nice. It was also very close to the beach. The view from the balcony was amazing!

Some of the beds were broken or the mattresses were very worn out. Some of the rooms had leaking baths or were missing a shower window so the whole bathroom got wet. The bus came very irregularly, and it took a couple days to find out when they came. Would be nice have the bus time table in the room

We arrived in Varna with a group of friends for the weekend. We took a 4 bedroom apartment. A very beautiful apartment, on the last floor with a stunning view. The living room has a large balcony with a sea view, and several more balconies in the bedrooms. Beautiful and designed furniture, fully equipped kitchen. The owner was very friendly, immediately answered all inquiries. We used the barbecue corner in the yard. 300 meters walking distance from the beach. There is a small minimarket and bus stop close to the villa. There is one bathroom with a shower, bath and toilet. And one more toilet inside one of the rooms.

The location of the room was excellent. The owner was helpful, we returned immediately to my message.The room was large enough for a family.Tv, air conditioner and the fridge was working properly.We parked our car in front of the building. There is no parking problem.

There was a disturbing smell in the room. I think the leather sofas are the reason. They had better not to use them any more.

Plenty of room, clean, view from the terrace, comfortable beds and rooms, quiet, jacuzzi .

Restaurant didn't work, communication with the host is hard, because of the different languages /the lady met us spoke Russian language only/ ,otherwise if you have any questions, ask via booking com and will be replied straight away in English.

The staff was able to provide small amenities when asked, like a fork. The location was excellent - there was a bus that took you directly into city centre, and the rail station. The shower was clean and the view from the room was gorgeous.

The bathroom did have a smell, but there were cleaning supplies and a quick pour in the toilet got rid of it. The wifi was unreliable.
