The resort is Khmer-owned and tries to play its part to be environmentally friendly. They don't serve their complementary water in plastic bottles. They organise a cleanup on the river on a monthly basis. They gifted us a reusable waterbottle (end of year period gift). The access to the river (green cathedral) is great. Breakfast / coffee was also great.

The hotel is located a bit far from the center of kampot. The road to the hotel is not asphalted which makes it a challange to explore. Tuctuc drivers don't like to go on the dirt road so expect plenty of cancellations on Grab / Passap.

The overall environment is so good ！I love the pool and quite environment around the resort. They offer free shuttle to the town which is convenient for me to the town. everyone there really helpful and made my trip more enjoyable. Thanks to RiverTree Villa & Resort Team I will choose this resort again for my next trip to Kampot.

We stayed 6 nights in this amazingly beautiful hidden gems resort in Kampot city and the sleepy town where the resort itself is surrounded by its wonderful natures and bushes. It is located on the outskirts, a relaxed, and peaceful atmosphere for national and international travelers to indulge in this resort's facilities and services there. The resort’s staff is informative, helpful, friendly, and goes the extra mile to rest assured that we have a great experience during our stay. The resort’s outlets and facilities are complete to offer us the sauna, Jacuzzi, and massage service, it is a comfy restaurant downstairs, and upstairs is a River Lounge with beautiful views where we can overlook the picturesque the outdoor swimming pool, riverfront, and mountain views to unwind our evening there. Moreover, we enjoyed having various lunch and dinner selections in the resort with the efficient services provided. Also, we experienced the kayaks, speed boat, and quad bikes by requesting to front office team prior. Please look no further than this highly recommended resort in Kampot, and this resort’s services and facilities spoilt us.

The road going to the resort is a bit bumpy

Loved the rural garden feel with the tree canopy. The room was large and comfortable , pool was great. The breakfast & food for dinner was tasty & good value and the staff were all really welcoming. I particularly liked my lattes in the morning , thanks Sereysaophorn. We loved the kayaking straight from our room in to the Green cathedral . Sunset boat trip would have been good but rain thunder & lightening stopped play. The Kampot area is a great base to explore the local area with the Bokor National park , Pepper farms , Kep beach & crab market and Kampot riverside.

Although it’s not far, be aware the track from the riverside to the hotel is very poor. This is the flip side of the rural location. We did appreciate the free pick up from Kampot town , we just had to ring with our location & we were picked up in the van within 15 mins.

We liked the quiet location out of the town centre. We received a very warm welcome when we arrived. The hotel offered a shuttle service to and from kampot which is needed. We had a sunset cruise from the hotel through the mangroves which was wonderful and enabled you to appreciate the beautiful setting. The rooms were great (we were given a free upgrade, thank you 🙏). Grounds and swimming pool area were very nice and well kept. We received a free massage which was heavenly. The staff were all lovely and couldn’t do enough for you. We tried to change our plans so we could stay longer but weren’t able to. Would love to have done the cooking course.

It felt the food and beverage offering wasn’t quite up to the same high standard as the rest of the hotel, just missing a little bit here and there. There could have been a better wine offering and wines by the glass. No sparkling water. No pool drinks service. Nothing major and it certainly didn’t distract from the fantastic stay that we had and the food we enjoyed. We did mention it directly to the hotel and they explained they are between food and beverage managers so this would explain the situation.

We only stayed one night at this resort. Our room was very comfortable and high standard with a really nice shower. The room and the whole resort were exceptionally clean. The pool area is nice but not that many sun loungers - could be an issue if it was busy. We made use of the shuttle into Kampot and also used resort transport to go to Kep. There was a small boat trip from the resort which took about 30 mins which was nice way to see surrounding area. The staff were friendly although did feel that they need some further training. It could be just that as a new resort, they need to get some experience. We had a nice stay as it was very comfortable.

The resort is a bit out of Kampot but the free shuttle is very good. There isn't much to do in the immediate area around the resort and I think one visit to Kampot was probably enough. We had a driver from the RiverTree to take us on a tour to La Plantation, Phnom Chinook Cave and Kep which we enjoyed but wasn't a tour as the driver didn't seem to know much about the area. The breakfast was fine but not as good as would expect for this standard of hotel.

The staff were absolutely the best I have ever come across. They were all so helpful, friendly and happy. The food was delicious, the green surroundings so beautiful, and the pool area very relaxing. My room was huge with a quiet balcony. I was informed in advance of a large party booking as well and the staff apologised in advance for the noise. It was a national holiday though, so not too unexpected.
