This hidden gem exceeded my expectations in every way. The pillows provided in the room were absolutely perfect, offering a comfortable and restful night's sleep. Despite comments about the room size, I found it to be just right, especially considering the balcony that allowed me to enjoy relaxing evenings with a drink in hand. Additionally, the side lane adjacent to the hotel served as a convenient shortcut leading to a street lined with restaurants. The location was also easily accessible for Grab rides, adding to the convenience of getting around the city. Overall, La Chronique left me thoroughly impressed. In addition to the excellent accommodations, the coffee shop downstairs at La Chronique was a true highlight. The service provided throughout both the hotel and coffee shop was exceptional, leaving a lasting positive impression. I particularly enjoyed the nostalgic touch of spotting a yellow pages book (a piece we rarely sight these days !), evoking a sense of sentimentality. The combination of top-notch service, a cozy ambiance, and the nostalgic charm of the coffee shop made it an inviting space to start the day or unwind with a cup of coffee. La Chronique truly excels in providing a remarkable experience, and I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a memorable stay in Phnom Penh.

La Chronique is a peaceful oasis in the rush of a busy city like Phnom Pehn. It is beautifully designed in a French colonial style with a shady terrace, cafe and bistro downstairs. The rooms were spotless, thoughtfully laid out and extremely comfortable. The staff were warm and attentive, generously helping us with a very early check in time. The hotel is located a few blocks from the Russian Market which is a must do, and close to some lovely coffee shops, cafes and bars. We would recommend the 'Best coffee in phnom pehn' (real name), backstreet cafe and sundown social club. 10/10 recommend this hotel.

Staff were super friendly and attentive when we arrived at the hotel. Check-in process was smooth and fast. Bed was small but comfortable. Bathroom and shower was good. Linen and towels clean. Location was good as there are many restaurants around the area.

Rooms are very small so not much room to move around in. Windows open to neighbouring building which is ok, but net curtains would have been nice as I had someone looking into the room during the day. There was a pull down blind but it didn't provide sufficient light. Restaurant was quite expensive compared to other places around the area.

Our stay at La.Chronique hotel was exceptional, wish we could stay longer ! Love everything about this property the beautiful architecture and furniture plus they have a very good coffee shop with very nice interior design. everything was clean and also they use the 100% Organic amenities and scent. This Building Such a green and sustainable environment. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back again !

beautiful rooms with lots of light. the location was great - quiet with some delicious restaurants nearby (make sure you try Golden Pumpkin). the breakfast was very good with lots of options. the man on reception was super attentive and really friendly. the whole vibe of the hotel felt very up market

one criticism of the restaurant would be the small size of the portions. another thing is we paid $15 for an airport pick up organised through the hotel and we expected a minibus or hotel car. however, the taxi that collected us didn’t have working seatbelts and was very old/unclean. other than those 2 small things everything else was great!

Everything in the room is very clean and properly setup as one expects of a very good hotel. There is small desk for computer work with wall outlets nearby. The bed has one wall outlet on each side of the bed as well for charging devices. The AC is cold. The bathroom has good toiletry products, etc. And the best part is that it's quiet, day and night. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

I wish Wi-Fi is a bit faster. It's adequate for email and surfing but video call is sluggish at times. Also, the bed, though sparking clean and comfortable, it could be firmer and not sagging on the side near the window.

It's a boutique hotel in a prime location. The street below was full of eateries of different cuisines and was lively till late hours in the night. The hotel staff were very courteous and helpful. On prior request, they also provided us an early check-in. Vatha and Simas kindly accommodated our various requests and queries regarding the activities we wanted to do around Phnom Penh. The hotel has its own bistro on the ground floor with great food and desserts. Otherwise, one can just take a walk down the street to pick their choice of cuisine from the multiple options of eateries. Overall, our stay in Phnom Penh was very comfortable and enjoyable, thanks to La Chronique and its staff. We would love to stay again.

The room and balcony were smaller than we expected and so was the shower. But it was clean and the service was very prompt.

The Hotel is outside and inside very stylish in its European look with a retro touch. It is absolutely comparable with some small and stylish European middle class hotel of good quality. The corner rooms we had on the 2nd and 3rd floor were small but with a nice view, quite, very well equipped and comfy. The hotel might not be in the centre but the neighbourhood has a lot of excellent restaurants, bars, cafes and shopping opportunities. For getting around in the city I recommend the grab app. The staff was super friendly and helpfull without being intrusive.

In both cases the room size was at the lower limit, the small carpet in front of the bed was in need for cleaning and the shower curtain useless, because to close to the shower.

overall my stay at La Chronique was incredible. i only had a few days to spend with a busy schedule and the staff is highly attentive, always with a smile, and incredibly helpful with tips to get around. the room is cleaned every day, everywhere in the building always smells nice and clean, surfaces/desks/bathroom all are spotless. i appreciated an eco-conscious approach towards the environment with their amenities and housekeeping, not to mention the organic toiletries like shower gels, shampoo, lotion - all smelling divine and much needed after a long day out in the sun!

the windows of the rooms are quite close to a boarding house so you can see directly into the inside of another person's house and vice versa, some awkward eye contact are bound to happen but you can just close the blinds. Also some party noises at night until 11pm but it was close to new year's eve so it was expected & tolerable.

Great location but quiet. Staff were attentive and friendly from the moment I arrived. They gave me a late checkout as requested. The bed was very comfortable with four pillows. The shower had hot water straight away and great water pressure.The small balcony was a pleasant spot to relax. Lovely decor and it was a nice place to relax before my flight.

The room is a bit small and might be a bit tight for a couple with lots of luggage. The tv was not connected to local channels but you could log in to your own streaming services. I’m sure the staff would have helped if I needed. I paid for my own breakfast at the attached cafe and was a bit disappointed. But the coffee, staff and decor were pleasant. Sound proofing not great you can hear noise from street and adjacent hallway and rooms
