When planning our next trip, I was looking for a private all-inclusive villa in Cambodia for the 3 of us to spend a few days, and I came across this gem, Mane Hariharalaya, in Siam Reap, which has a super impressive review rating. And it didn't disappoint us! From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty!! And lucky us! Not just our private villa, We literally had the entire resort for ourselves! I am at a loss for words to explain the pampering we received, from fine dining to spa treatments to afternoon teas to unlimited snacks and drinks to city tours and many more from the resort’s lovely staff from the moment we arrived! They were so flexible and adjusted and catered their whole service offering for our needs! Our own personal butler, Luy Heang, was available 24/7 and was super fast and responsive!! What more can one ask for when looking for an exclusive, private Villa experience in one of the best resorts in the whole of Cambodia. Thanks to the whole Mane Hariharalya staff, and special thanks to our own personal butler, Luy Heang, for making our stay memorable!

I really liked the rustic stay. Villas far away from each other that we could all feel like we are properly separated from other guests. I also liked that there was so much nature around us; waking up to the jungle sounds was an exceptional experience. Our personal assistant, Anita was ready to help us make our stay memorable and relaxing. A nice personal touch.

The rice paddies had just been harvested when we got there I think, and so our villa was looking over swampy areas. Not as picturesque as the pictures let you believe. If there is some constructive feedback I can offer to the management: spend some time figuring out what elements of the offered service you can make automatic (I personally believe a 5 star hotel should have rooms made up, floors swept, linen changed, pool cleaned automatically; guests shouldn’t have to ask). I also think that the food situation needs urgent review. Our meals were almost always late, although I appreciate the staff bringing them to us; the food quality and quantity varied greatly; food order was also often wrong. And variety was pretty limited.

Although the resort is situated well outside Siem Reap city, the property is gorgeous with plenty of lush greenery and lined with magnificent trees. The air is clean and fresh! There are well maintained dirt/gravel trails for guests to ride around the resort on bicycles provided by the resort and located at each villa. There are several small freshwater ponds. The area is extremely quiet, calm, and peaceful. Hotel staff are incredibly nice and very attentive to guests' needs. The restaurant is large and open with ample seating for guests. There are two pools for guests to use. One is fresh water while the other is salt water. Both are well maintained and inviting. Housekeeping is fantastic and keeps rooms spotless. Our family enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening hours relaxing. Birds can be heard singing in the early morning hours as the sun rises. At the entrance to the resort, guests can capture amazing photos of sunsets! Tuk-tuk drivers are readily available to take guests to the city. There is absolutely nothing to complain about with this resort. Special thanks to Pheng who helped with taxi rides and prebooked excursions.

The lunch set menu was a little pricey. And, the menu did not include a Western option which would have be nice. There was no body lotion in the rooms.

Bearing in mind that we are talking about the Cambodian countryside, not a luxury hotel in the Bahamas, the property (villa, immediate surroundings, staff) did exceed our expectations. We booked a family villa with private swimming pool, where we were offered afternoon tea, breakfast, personal "butler" (meaning a dedicated member of the staff to organize our trips and visits, and deal with all possible requests and eventualities). The villa was elevated on stilts, although no dangerous animals are found anywhere near the surrounding areas. The rooms and facilities were serviced every day, the beds amazing, and the overall feeling was idyllic. I am counting that you have researched about Cambodia, its people, its shortcomings, and the several inconveniences that you will encounter in this developing country; it is not easy sometimes, and there is always a certain degree of discomfort for city dwellers. My ratings reflect the quality offered and effort put into making us feel comfortable and attended at every minute that was needed. And they did.

I am not sure about what I "did not like". I am not an entomologist, so I guess I would have enjoyed it more if I was one. There was a certain degree of toughening up with regards to the small and the minuscule animal life that shares this secluded place ecosystem, but that was part of the adventure. One of the kids found a courage he didn't know he had dealing with this.

For starters, the hotel has a resort-like ambience to it. It it few kms ahead of the city area. So it feels great to be in a quieter area. There is free transport provided by the hotel but with Grab app, access to the city is not a big constraint and is relatively inexpensive. The presence of Ms Chamnam (who was our butler equivalent) is great because she was the single point of contact and was very accessible on the phone. The staff is very polite and friendly and warm. (That actually seems to be the nature of most Cambodians.) The spa services is a standout. Although in the city, you can get 30-60 mins massages for $5-$7, they're in a crowded place surrounded by people lying next to you. But here the spa is very quiet, well designed and near perfect. The two ladies doing the treatments are excellent and well trained. So you feel refreshed after going through it considering the days tend to be hectic due to temple runs. There are 2 swimming pools. The salt water one looked fresher and the water was very clear. Did not try the other one. The property being large, you have the advantage of walking around - in the mornings or evenings. Or simply sitting out and hearing birds and insects chirping. The rooms are very large and beds very comfortable. So sleep comes easy. The minibar is well stocked.

If there is something that can improve, it will be the food. The breakfast (and lunch and dinner which is a set menu) tends to limit us. We wished it was buffet style or a better constructed menu was made available. The food is alright though not great. The range of beverages is also somewhat limited. The service is very good though. Perhaps they could also improve the lighting of the resort. It is too dimly lit in the nights. So it feels a quite sedate post sunset.

- spacious villa with private pool - lake in the middle of the resort where you can take relaxing unlimited free paddle boat rides - peace and tranquility - a la carte breakfast with freshly prepared and delicious juices and coffee, lunch with 5 set menus was also good (you can also mix the menus) - polite and hospitable staff

- far from city center (around 30 minutes by tuktuk which is free of charge once per day) - not much to do at the resort beside boat and bike rides - drinks and food are quite expensive (on par with prices in bigger European cities), especially compared to prices in the city

A stunning resort style hotel, in a beautiful location about 20 minute ride from the centre of town. We were upgraded to a pool villa due to a small issue with our first villa, and we had a magical stay. Our assistant who looked after everything for us was fantastic, and the customer service was amazing. The restaurant was great, good breakfast and great lunch. Definitely recommend to all.

The location is about 20 minutes from the centre of town, which didn’t bother us at all as there was a free uktukk ride each day to and from town. But this could possibly bother some people.

Relaxing stylish spacious with lots of green space- just what we hoped for. Lovely grounds, pools, massage. We were treated to a villa upgrade to a 2 bedroom villa with private pool. It was Fantastic- so much space, well decorated and very luxurious. Food was great- so much choice and and well prepared . They catered for any of our preference and requirements. Breakfast and lunch were included with the same large selection of menu. Our personal consierge was lovely, knowledgeable and looked after all our requests and tours. Complementary tuk-tuk to town was great

The property was very beautiful, the property was well kept in the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were also incredibly kind and helpful! Whilst the property is a bit further out, I think it was quieter than staying in town and staff were helpful in getting us transport arrangements to sightsee.

I had noises happening below my room late into the night - not sure what it was, but sounded like an animal or something was banging around below the room.

The hotel felt like a peaceful oasis close to Siem Reap and the temples. All of the staff we met were so friendly and did their best to make our stay comfortable. The Villa rooms are absolutely beautiful, thoughtfully designed, unique, spacious, and very relaxing and peaceful. We relaxed in the stone tub by the windows that opened up to the trees outside. Great food, pools, ponds, boardwalks, and lights lighting up everything beautifully at night.

Because of the more secluded location the drive into town is about 15 min. This was our only hesitation for booking the hotel; however once we arrived and stayed at the hotel, we were glad we did- the hotel itself was so relaxing we were very happy to come back such a luxurious property after a hot day of exploring the temples of Angkor Wat and be taken care of by the amazing staff. We had an amazing breakfast lunch and dinner menu every day and this turned exploring Angkor Wat into a more magical serene experience rather than a hectic one.
