My husband and I recently travelled to Siam Ream - Cambodia for a holiday and decided to stay at The Embassy of Angkor Resort. I have to say, it was an incredible experience! From the moment we arrived in style with a vintage white Mercedes - 1960s, we were greeted with warm hospitality and made us feel at home. The hotel itself was stunning - a beautiful blend of traditional Khmer architecture and modern amenities. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities, private pool and a bathtub at the middle of the room! Was all I needed to make our stay enjoyable. But what really stood out to me was the exceptional service provided by the staff. Everyone I encountered - from the front desk ( Maneth, Morning star, Lucky and the rest that I can't name them, to the restaurant staff (Key and the girls) went above and beyond to ensure our needs were met and our stay was enjoyable. They were always available to provide anything we needed. The hotel planned on places to visit and things to do. We were in communication throughout with the hotel staff in WhatsApp, with quick response. The hotel is also situated at a great location, just a short distance (10min) from the town with all Siam Reap top restaurants, pubs, day and night market, making it the perfect base for exploring the area. The complementary Tuk Tuk rides from hotel to town, once your done send a WhatsApp to hotel, they will arrange the pick up back to hotel. Overall, I would highly recommend The Embassy of Angkor Resort & Spa to anyone visiting Cambodia. It's the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, and authentic Khmer hospitality, and I can't wait to stay there again!

Breakfast was ample with plenty of options with slight changes every day. There were hot menu items such as local noodle dishes, western spaghetti dishes, pancakes to cold options like cheese, cereal, yogurt, fresh pastries....also an egg station for custom omelettes. The beds were ultra comfortable and very large. Great night's sleep. We also loved the size of the room, the Decor,lighting and ambience made for a beautiful stay. The staff was very friendly, checking on us to know how they can make our stay more enjoyable. They helped us find other attractions to enjoy during our stay.

What could have been better is: Please put a menu in the room. We had to call reception for staff to being the menu for room service. When they brought the menu they wanted us to look through and order immediately and they took back the menu. It should be expected that a hotel of this caliber have menus in all rooms. With that said...the restaurant food had no flavor...not even salt. That was a disappointment. The private pool and soaking tub were a bit stained and unsightly and the sink knob fell off...we held it together to use daily...again....at a hotel of this price point, one would expect more attention to detail.

We loved our stay at the Embassy, felt like a home away from home. To start with, we were upgraded to a room with a private pool, then Keen prepared the best cocktails ever. They arranged our tour to Angkor wat last minute, and despite that they managed to find the best guide ever. All the staff is simply amazing, my son got an allergy on the second day and the manager took us to the nearest hospital. They checked on us every day, prepared everything he wanted, just to make sure he feels good.. This was the most amazing stay we had and that was mainly because of the wonderful staff. We will definitely be back. Also the rooms were massive, really comfortable for families. The pool was great as well, fantastic after a day in the sun. Also they have happy hour and a high tea at 3 o'clock which is such a great treat.

Staff were excellent- Mr Ran organised special treats for us and the breakfast team (Potin, Khim and Sa) were brilliant. High-Tea was a real treat Room was comfortable and the private pool was a real treat The free tuk-tuk into town was necessary- the hotel was outside of the centre (which was great for us). Return journey was cheap ($2) Room was clean and well maintained (although TV was dated- still had Teletext button!)

Airport pick up was late- very disappointing (and was also late for tour) Laundry costs were very expensive ($1-2 per kilo in town, $150 in hotel!!!).

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that all our needs were met with a smile. Molika, the waiter, was particularly kind and made our dining experience special. Additionally, the team at reception were outstanding, helping us arrange tours with a vintage car and a van, which added a unique touch to our stay. A special mention goes to the official guide, Lorn Leap, who was selected for us by the Hotel. His insightful knowledge and engaging manner turned our journeys into truly memorable discoveries. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of exploring, the pool in the room made the difference. One of the highlights of our stay was the spa, which provided a wonderfully relaxing experience. The food at the restaurant was both good and well-presented, with a range of options to suit various tastes. Overall, The Embassy Angkor Resort & Spa is an excellent choice for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the area. I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Angkor.

If I had to mention a minor downside, it would be the distance from the city center. However, the hotel offers a free tuk-tuk service available until 10:00 PM, which makes this a non-issue. The tuk-tuk service is always available and provides convenient transportation, so getting around was never a problem. They are attentive to WhatsApp messages and will promptly pick you up when you notify them, making transportation very convenient.

The staff of the hotel was absolutely amazing: we arrived in the evening and had a very warm welcome. On top we received a room upgrade for free and stayed in an absolutely stunning room. For dinner the restaurant was opened only for us and the food also was super delicious! The next day after our toor to Angkor Wat we had a four hand massage at the spa center which was among if not the best massage we ever had. All in all a fantastic stay!

The only small thing to „critique“ is that the TV had no option for Netflix or Amazon and did not have clear connection

The Embassy is a nice, well spaced out place to stay with a mixture of traditional and modern communal areas and modern bedrooms set out in traditional style. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Poch and Kry and also Morning Star and Key(?). Sorry to those I've forgotten that I can't remember you all. We ate in once and had a pleasant meal and drank cocktails on several evenings, all well made. The pool is a good size and for those of us that like the sun, there were areas where you could sit out in it, whereas some other hotels we stayed at in Cambodia, it was barely possible to see the sun due to the number of plants shading the pool area. The hotel isn't close to the centre of the town but in a quiet location, however it offered a free Tuk Tuk service into town which took around 7 or 8 minutes.

We had a suite with its' own small pool. Fab - but one minor gripe. Unlike the main pool where you could choose to sit in the sun or shade, our pool was very shaded so we barely used it.

From the moment we walked in we felt welcome and relaxed. The staff were so friendly and the resort is absolutely beautiful. We had a room with a private pool and it was absolutely amazing to be able to jump in anytime you got a bit too hot and the area was so quiet and peaceful. Our room was perfect We also used the hotel pool too which was great and got some food and drinks which were also really tasty. The cocktails were great. Prices bit more than outside the resort as usual but we didn't find them to be too crazy and they were great quality. The afternoon tea was nice and you could have the tea hot or cold and by the pool as well Location wise it was a bit far from the centre for walking but they have a tuk tuk that you can take into the centre and it's quick and efficient and we had no issues getting one back ourselves

We couldn’t be happier with our stay at The Embassy. The hotel and it’s grounds are so well looked after by the staff, who are always warm and helpful. Our room was spectactular with a private plunge pool and stunning central bathtub. Breakfast had a great range of local and international options, plus we enjoyed happy hour drinks next to the pool in the late afternoon. A special thank you to Mr Ran who made sure our check in was smooth and provided his Whatsapp for any additional requests.

Very peaceful surroundings, lovely room and wonderful staff. Everything always cleaned and freshened up for us daily. Free transport to town and breakfast /high tea much appreciated !! Loved the pool and spent much time there. Minor issue with shower not draining but was fixed after I asked! Staff are all very attentive. The curries and spring rolls we ordered to the room were excellent!

I couldn’t use the pillows for sleeping at all, just far too thick and hard for me so I slept without pillow every night. There wasn’t any hooks or rails for hanging towels in the room. Also would be nice if there was some anti bacterial wipes or spray to clean the gym equipment before and after use, I didn’t see any.
