Everything about this hotel was perfect, from the room to the pool to the food to the location. But the best part was the staff. They are all so incredibly lovely and helpful. We were sad to say goodbye. The location is really good. The hotel is only a short walk or tuk tuk ride away from a range of amazing cafes, restaurants, and bars to suit all budgets. (The best coffee we had was at the hotel, though.) It was also super handy being able to make use of the free one-way tuk tuks provided by the hotel. It's easy to book activities and tours through reception, and if you need clothes washed, I highly recommend their laundry service. My clothes came back washed, ironed, and smelling so nice. Like everything at this hotel, it was done to perfection. I will recommend this beautiful hotel to all my friends and family who are visiting Siem Reap.

Beautiful facility with very friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. Lobby and pool are beautiful. Staff was extremely helpful and arranged everything that we needed, at reasonable prices.

The main thing that was imperfect was that check-out was a bit early and rushed. I would also prefer some more local options for the breakfast menu. Note that the location is about one kilometer from the city center "pub street". It is a pleasant, easy, and safe 15-minute walk. The Elephant keeps a fleet of dedicated TukTuks out front for the ride to town, if you can't walk. I do not consider this a negative because I like being in a quieter, more authentic neighborhood. However, if you want loud tourist bars and souvenir shops right outside your door, then stay at pub street.

Excellent, very friendly staff with good English. Very comfortable bed in a large room (Honeymoon room 112). Many choices for breakfast with good coffee. Afternoon tea around the pool was a very pleasant treat. The pool is large and refreshing after a long day exploring. WLAN was good. The hotel offers very good tours with guides (Mr Youhan and Mr La were mine, both very knowledgable with excellent English) and have friendly, capable and experienced tuk-tuk drivers. The hotel is on a quiet street with little traffic (exception see below). All in all an excellent place for a Siem Reap holiday!

Nothing really. Some may find the 700m to Pub Street to be far, but I enjoyed the walk into town along a local shopping street with many small businesses. The hotel has tuk-tuks if you need a ride. There are a couple of good restaurants close by (especially The Haven!). The suburban quiet is only disturbed by the early morning start at Angkor High School. It seems most kids arrive on their motorbikes a minute before class begins while a man on the PA tries heroically to organise their parking and encourage them to hurry up, they're all running late, of course 🤣. You'll probably only hear the PA if you have a room on the street side, most rooms are around the pool. The kids are all in class within a few minutes and it's back to birdcalls. No playground noise btw.

The staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The very kindly upgraded us to the villa with private pool which was amazing! We had all the comforts of a hotel whilst having our very own private pool and two storey villa. They even gave us a late check out. We did tours of Angkor Wat with a guide and driver through the hotel which was amazing and great value. The breakfast options were good and also reasonably priced. There are some lovely restaurants in walking distance (haven, jomno and others) and the hotel provides cheap or sometimes free (depending on time of day) tuk tuks for the short trip to the main town. Highly recommend thank you to the whole team at The Elephant for a fantastic stay.

Nothing everything was great!

It’s a beautiful, amazing hotel with lovely staff, lovely swimming pool and the rooms are very comfortable. We were able to check in early, they gave us fruit and a refreshing drink on arrival. The manager, Mr Oeng is a really nice man, he made sure we had a great stay, he even allowed us to keep the rooms after checkout as we had the temple tours and wanted to use the pool and freshen up when we returned as we had a late flight. We had lunch there and the food was delicious and we enjoyed the local Angkor beer. We were sad to have to leave. 10/10 for everything here. We recommend it for anyone.

Incredibly friendly and professional service. Made you feel at home without being familiar. If you needed anything they were there with a smile; otherwise you had total privacy. Lovely pool. Very comfy bed, large room. I had the room with the huge stone bathtub on the balcony, so great to lay in that and watch storms roll over. Complimentary afternoon tea was a nice touch.

Traveled around the world for the last fifty years, and for the third time in Siem Reap to vist the ancient amazing temples of Angkor Wat.. I was lucky when I chose The Elephant as my starting point for my two weeks stay. The Elephant is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at - if not the best. Very well run by young cambodians. The location in the quiet part of Siem Reap. The lovely premises, the large room, the cozy livingroom and the nice pool area. But most importantly where the many wonderful employees. Thank you for cleaning my room, looking aften my bike at night, cooking and serving the delicious food, you all in the reception, the tuk tuk drivers. Thank you all for your helpfulness and very pleasant manner which made my stay a great pleasure.

Absolut everything

This hotel is just gorgeous, beautifully presented throughout and very well run. Check in was smooth and upon arrival we were given complimentary tea and fruit which was greatly appreciated after travelling. In addition, every day there's complimentary tea and snacks! The drinks and food from the restaurant was also delicious- the mango sticky rice and fish amok were particular favourites! The room was extremely comfortable, clean and huge, with ample space for 2 people. More importantly, all of the staff we interacted with were super professional, friendly and incredibly helpful. We didn't catch everybody's names but, special commendations for Ms Bolen and Mr Sun for looking after us the most! Ms Bolen and the other reception staff were very quick to help us with booking tours, transportation and general answers to any questions we had. And Mr Sun was incredibly patient and good natured during the 2 and a half days we were driven to all the temples in his tuktuk- the cold water and towels were so so appreciated! Thank you all for such a wonderful stay, we've never had a hotel experience like it!

The Elephant exceeded all expectations, particularly when considering the cost. The team to a person were all fabulous, nothing was ever too much trouble and everyone always had a smile. Our room was large and extremely clean with a super comfortable bed, we even had fresh flowers on more than one occasion. The pool area is peaceful with lots of loungers and towels, afternoon tea is also provided free of charge. The restaurant food is also fantastic as was breakfast. The hotel is centrally located but very quiet. If and when we return to Siem Reap we will not hesitate to book the Elephant again and will recommend to friends and family. 10/10 without doubt 😊

The hotel and the service by every single staff member was way above outstanding. I traveled with my 10yo son for the first time to Cambodia, from airport pick up to drop off every every little detail was taken care of. We are vegetarians and the staff curated a special menu just for us. The hotel facilities are brilliant, they have a waterfall and jaccuzzi at the pool which made an excellent hotel to spend time at. A beautiful view from the balcony. Evening tea had 6 different variants of tea to choose from and snacks that were complimentary. It is a safe and happy hotel. Every staff member is always smiling and ready to help with any information that you need. A special thanks from us to all of the staff members. Our outings were very well planned and details of traveling with a child was considered Highly. The tuc tuc staff that is with the hotel are also very supportive, clicked excellent pictures and made sure we had a lovely time.
