We got the cheapest hotel room we could find in the Jasper area, so our expectations were low. However, we were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel! The receptionists were very nice and helpful, and the check in process went smoothly. Our room was big, with two queen beds as advertized. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, more so than many fancier hotels we've stayed at. There is a small gym at the hotel, which was a nice surprise - there's one treadmill and one machine so not extraordinary, but enough for a few minutes of exercise to soften the blow from breakfast. The room had a good size mini-fridge, nice Dove toiletries, a coffee maker and some coffee, and a small TV (not a smart TV). The staff let us use the hot water in the breakfast area after hours to have some tea. Breakfast was nice, with fresh coffee, cereal + milk, egg, sausage and beans, an automatic pancake machine, and breads and jam.

The hotel is not new or fancy, but honestly that didn't really bother us. It has all you could need for a comfortable yet affordable stay.

Hotel is clean. Beds old and squeaky the coffee machine did not work you had to hold the button on in order to get it to work. As far as the free breakfast. That was disgusting. I am not a racist person. But the breakfast too was complete full of people from the Philippines and they were loaded up and ate everything in sight emptied the pancake machine. Drank all the juice the place was demolished. Other guest at the hotel said the same. We wanted coffee the other guest that just left with coffee said good luck. I am sorry but if a hotel is having a tour group the need to provide a separate dining room for them with their own food. I have never seen such greed in my life as what I saw in that breakfast room. You could not sit all the tables and chairs were full with people and their purses They were stuffing the food into their purses. It was disgusting. I will be asking the next time I stay if they have any groups booked. If so I will not be booking. I am heading back to Hinton on the 11 I hope it is not the same.

The property was clean lots of parking. The afternoon evening desk lady on Saturday was awesome very nice and helpful. The lady on Sunday morning not so much. Not even a good morning or a smile Room was clean but coffee machine broken and mattress are old. You sink to one side But quite

Breakfast was passable. Scrambled eggs were terrible. Fruit was good as were the sausages.

TV hookup is very bad. All other places you just turn on the TV by turning on the remote. At Hinton you have to first turn on a modem (????) and then turn on the television. At a bare minimum you should have some instructions by the tv on how to get the tv working. Station selection is very minimal. Shaw service is bad. Bell is much better. Internet is ok but why does each room have a different room code and password to log on? Most places you only have to enter the password to log onto the internet.

The size of the bathrooms are really nice and big and the breakfast was amazing. Usually when breakfast is included, it’s just a crappy old muffin or toast.

I was told I had to move my truck around as I wasn’t allowed to back in which I think is a fire hazard. If you need to leave quickly, you shouldn’t have to back out of a parking spot, but apparently starting your car causes exhaust to go into the windows which at this time of the season is cold and if anybody has their windows open, they’re crazy.

We had a fantastic 3-night stay at Hinton Lodge. Firstly the staff were all wonderful and friendly. We stayed in room 303 which has a kitchenette, stocked with utensils that have been barely used, which was great for packing lunches and cooking meals. The room is reasonably spacious, and the bathroom is shiny clean. Breakfast is inclusive, although it has the same variety everyday but that's expected. The hotel location is very convenient, close to a shopping mall with groceries and a number of eating options. The town of Jasper is about an hour away, but the drive is scenic and more than once we encountered a pack of goats wandering on the highway.

Our room faces the back of the hotel away from the highway. It's wooded but the railway is just beyond, and trains run day and night. Even with windows closed some noise would come in. Those sensitive to noise might want to bring ear plugs.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hinton Lodge. The location was ideal fo us to drive into Jasper and the surrounding areas every day. The breakfast was a nice addition and they had a good range of bagels. The staff were very friendly. We found the bed comfy, the room as large and the shower was a good pressure.

No reflection on the hotel but the people in the rooms around us were in and out of their rooms until late making quite a lot of noise.

It was clean and comfortable. Staff was great as well.

One issue I encountered during my stay was that the hot water in the tub was incredibly hot. I didn’t test the water before getting in, and as soon as my toes touched it, it was too late—I slipped and burned myself. While it was ultimately my mistake, I feel it's something other guests should be made aware of for safety reasons.

The check-in process was smooth; we didn't have any issues. The front desk officer talked us through the process and ensured we were fully informed about any important information. The staff was also good—we had no problems there.

There was nothing of that sort that we didn't like. The lodge provided the basic amenities you would expect from a two—or three-star lodge, so it's all good there, really. Breakfast could have been slightly better, though, in terms of more varieties of hot food.

Very clean newer hotel w clean rooms in good repair. It was pretty quiet. Trains run at night but its not that loud - request a room with windows facing the highway if light sleeper. Also some diesel vehicles with lights were in the parking lot - a bit noisy and annoying. Trucks should be told to park in a designated area away fron sleeping guests. Staff was friendly and professional. It's not a four star place but safe clean and great value. Good coffee and breakfast. Good place to stay as alternate to Jasper. Drive is an hour to Jasper.

The property was clean and had a pleasant light green theme. Breakfast was enjoyable with fresh options like toasted bread, bagels, pancakes, cereals, coffee, eggs, and sausages. The room amenities, including a TV, microwave, coffee maker, iron, ironing board, and wine glasses, were appreciated.

The absence of provided hygiene products such as tampons, pads, toothpaste, and toothbrushes was noted. Additionally, one-time use slippers would have been a welcome addition.
