I've never stayed in a hostel/hotel before. I started work in B.C and booked a tent site down the road. The payment system they had made it difficult to continue staying there. I needed a decent, affordable place to stay and fast. the Elk Adventure lodge was the only place under the 60$ a nite range so I booked it for the rest of my 2 week stay. I got a pod room which is on the hostel side of the hotel. it was very neat to see. It was like staying in a fort that my daughter and I make at home. the place was very clean. Cleaner than I expected that's for sure. 4 woman's showers and shared washroom. Staff was very Friendly and polite. I enjoyed the family game room, theater room, and open shared kitchen. was like being at home. There is a lounge connected to the place as well and it was still nice and quiet even with other people in the room. the respect was shared amongst strangers so others could sleep.
I didn't like that I couldn't book for a month stay. But they have there reasons. There wasn't much to dislike really. The mattresses in the pod rooms are not to comfy, but when your looking for cheaper rates, you can't expect crem da la crem! Everyone is different. If you don't mind meeting new people or sharing space with them, it's not for you. They have private rooms. I haven't stayed in one so I cannot rate that as of yet. Hope this helps.

Location, parking, building, reception from staff, everything looked clean well laid out, bathrooms clean, the bar and entertainment that evening were great. Again bar staff, etc, though busy they were on it.
Well, the pod thing once ‘in’ was great, very well thought out….however, in the upper bunk the only ‘issue’ was the ladder, great in your teens or twenty’s, but as soon as age and ‘the knees’ starts creeping in, and turning round at the top to come down is kinda tricky, though beer etc added to that….so yeah, a comment rather than a complaint, steps would resolve it to some extent but then that’s blocking the walk way….. maybe next time just ask for a lo bunk😂

As for my other stay in Jasper, very clean, warm and nicely organized hostel. Awesome kitchen, which I used both for dinner and breakfast.
Perhaps a bit more of basic foods in the kitchen, like salt, pepper, oil,... as some people just stop by a night or two and cannot carry all of these cooking basics with them. However, pots, pans and cooking tools were fine to me.

The price was perfect. The kitchen also had everything I needed. There was also a nice living room to sit in and do work or just relax. The wifi worked like a charm! The small room felt cozy and had enough outlets for all my needs.
There was not really a spot to put my suitcase in the pod. There were also times where there was no soap in the bathroom. There was live music late one night that could be heard from the pods but it wasn't that loud.

The staff. Super deck on the front that had happy hour, some entertainment, super in the day to just hang out and work. Great kitchen and hangout area downstairs
Our room was lVery hot! Admittedly there was a heat wave. We were very grateful for the two fans that were set up. Stairs are really steep.

I booked a pod, so no breakfast was provided, and that is perfectly okay. I wanted basic accommodation as a stop-over on my trip to Penticton and the pod worked out very well. The shared shower and bathroom was much appreciated, as the drive to get here was long and quite hot.

I booked a couple of pods for myself and a friend to spend the weekend mountain biking in Fernie. The pods were super neat, I really enjoyed the lockable cubby where I could store my things, the dimmable lights and mirror were a great touch. The bar on site was an awesome spot to grab a pint and enjoy some live music.
The bed in the pod wasn't the best. It was more of a vinyl mattress which didn't breathe very well, which made for a warm sleep.

everything! this place rocks! I will be back 100% for sure! first off the staff (Sadie) was amazing! she took me to see my options before I decided on what I booked. the pods were a very cool idea for added privacy. most comfortable pillow I ever had! facilities were spotless and very cool design I did not feel like I was in a hostel. there were tons of showers! favourite part was the bar/patio located in the hostel. I didn’t have far to go when it was done with the beers and time for bed!
I can’t say there was anything negative!

The pods are well designed. With lights at the head and entrance of the pods. Plug ins near an area which is lockable with a slot to pass cords through. Two hangers inside as well. Also included was a small fan which was great.
A towel bar inside the pod would be a good add. The music gets loud on the weekends, in my case Saturday night, at the bar inside this hostel.

Nice location in Fernie. The facility is clean. Kitchen is well equipped. There is a nice common room for reading, play pingpong and pool. staff are very friendly and helpful! We accidentally lock our car keys in the car. It was sunday, most business were closed. The front desk staff help us look for options to get assistance to unlock the car. He is very helpful! We are very appreciated his helping hand!
