Many things! The staff was both friendly and efficient. The bed and side chair were totally comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful. The air conditioner worked well, and was reasonably quiet. The TV was large and in good condition, and had a solid selection of channels. And it was placed in an area that certainly seemed safe, and also within a 3-5 minute walk of a downtown street with a couple of nearby restaurants and an ice cream shop. Granted, it’s not a modern high rise, and the price was more than I’d like, but it was substantially below most others nearby. That’s the way Golden is in the summer! But for those of us who’ll seek out a local budget spot when the big chains are priced so high in tourist areas, this is a superb choice! Frankly, I’ve stayed in those big ones on the nights before and after the Rondo, and the Rondo was better!

Nothing. It is older, with steps outside, and doors facing the outside, but all of that is clearly displayed.

Reading the reviews of this place, my wife and I braced ourselves before our stay at the Rondo Motel. Be even purchased our own set of sheets as a few comments mentioned stains, including blood. Well, either the owners of this place have received the message, either people are too sensitive. This place was absolutely perfect for the requested price. It is fairly close to Glacier NP's West entrance (but really far from Many Glacier's entrance), and is a very solid solution for people preferring not to camp in bear country. We loved our stay and would do it again if we do not want to pay a ridiculous price for places closer to the NP.

Yes, it is not going to be the most pristine experience of your life. You might find a few hair on the floor and some rust on the lamps. But hey, if you clicked on this place, isn't it for the decent price? So come on, be ready to make some concessions. The sheets were white, the towels were clean, the bed was comfortable, the location was great, we did not pay too much attention to the rest.

Close to necessities in town. Easy to get to off of the highway. It is a plain, old-fashioned mom&pop style motel. Perfect for us travelling to spend time outside, and needing a clean comfy bed for night. Slept great! Bonus was the chair and footstool for reading in the evening. We were there for four nights, and would stay again.

Parking was a bit limited, but it appears that they are re-doing portions of the parking lot.

We arrived late because of the very long drive. It was near midnight, 1:00 AM. On the way, we called, and the staff assured us. When we reached, we found a small note with a code to enter the room. This helped us. The room was spotless and the view from the window was great. The staff was very polite.

The bathroom door was stuck. It might need a small carpenter's work. It was not closed properly, but it didn't bother us much.

We booked in here on a road trip and were satisfied. Our room had the kitchen which was fantastic. We walked to save on foods down the road and bought food to make breakfast. We used the freezer to re freeze all our ice packs for cooler and bought more snack foods. The bed was comfy, the blanket was thin though but luckily we had extras with us. I'm sure we could have gotten extra from staff though. The room for 2 nights cost us less than one night in Revelstoke. Motel was older obviously but would go back.

Location was great. Walkable to dinner and breakfast restaurants. Good for an overnight stay on our way to National Parks.

Very loud bathroom fan which comes on with the light. Many written threats for extra charges for anything you might do wrong. They must be used to irresponsible guests I think. No coffee in lobby but a small coffee maker in the room was good to get by.

Very comfortable beds, blankets warm and cozy. Beautiful view to the mountains. Shampoo smells good. Clean room. We came too late, and the staff took care of us. They left the envelope with instructions on how to come into our room. Otherwise, we should stay outside, tired with a kid. They are pet friendly. There is free parking. Very nice location with coffee shop nearby

Clean rooms with very comfy beds. Parking is very easy with many spots just in front of each room. Staff was very accommodating as we arrived past the check-in time around 11pm. Very quiet neighbourhood, perfect rest stop on a road trip.

They were doing construction on an adjacent parking lot; this did not pose any issues as we were already awake when work started but it was loud.

Staff are friendly I arrived this hotel at 1pm night time since my flight delayed, I got the phone call around 10pm to tell me where to find my room and room password, they are responsible. The Kettel is not working by my use accidently, they changed another one without any cost, they are frinedly.

Power off twice time The 1st day and 2nd day has power off, it is in the midnight with short time, I think it is city line problems, NOT motel problem.

Cleanliness and ease of access, politeness and helpfulness of staff, the bed linen was so soft and the beds were comfy. The shower was powerful and a very clean establishment.
