Everything, except bikes without brakes and no one tells you about it until you take it :D

Bikes!!! You have to warn people that they don’t have brakes and they just leisure bikes on a free of an obstacle road. There is no bike trail but they let you rent the bikes without brakes. My 13 years old boy, trying to look brave (well, they let us ride them, so people must have been on them) fell off the bike luckily missed all the rocks flying off the small cliff. He was pushing pedals back with all his might, but it was down hill and steep turn. Honestly, I don’t know how no one still didn’t break anything with these bikes and personal not even telling anyone how different the bikes are from the ones you got used to. Why they promote them?!!! If you don’t taught the bikes, then it was very good.

The location is excellent. The grounds of the resort are beautiful. The sunsets, wow! The path along the water is nice, along with the table and chairs viewing area. The outdoor BBQ dining area by the water - so nice. Maybe consider having a reservation system to use the BBQ and tables. Add a couple of BBQs in the viewing area; also a reservation system. It was simply was SO nice to BBQ and dine outside, by the water as the sun set. The pet friendly-ness of the whole resort was wonderful (e.g. leashed at the hot tub, on the patio of the pub etc.) While there, it was warm but the breeze from the water and the black-out curtains kept the room comfortable. We did use the fans a few times so please keep the fans. The two sliding doors to the balcony and opening the front door, allowed for a breeze. The balcony with table and chairs, was so nice to have; we used the balcony a lot. Having a washer and dryer was also very handy. We honestly, did not want to leave. Keep up the great work. Pacific Shores Resort is a destination spot :)

A "it would be nice" comment is, have an outside lounge area with lounge chairs by the pool, with doors that open to that area. That way, on warm/hot days, guests can sit in the sun and easily dip into the pool, then back to the sun. To be honest, the sofa bed is not very comfortable. It may be time for new mattresses.

The location is lovely. The pool was great and we were really appreciative of the barbeques available for use. There was lots of easy and close parking.

The bed was really not comfortable, with a noisy head board. Also, we were between two units that each had dogs so whenever we opened our door or walked down the hallway, one or both would start barking. Very unexpected. One suggestion, perhaps a few cleaning supplies in the unit...with young kids some cleaning is often needed..perhaps a mop?

The staff were lovely, great location and close drive to Parksville. Our little kid LOVED the kids pool area, perfect size and depth for a 3yo. Wifi was good, beds were comfy, bathroom clean.

Got quite hot so was hard without AC, they had a fan in the room so that helped but still quite warm. The balconies are very close to each other so not super private if there are people on the balcony next door. Soundproofing was okay, not the best but depends on if you're neighbors are noisy.

I loved he green space and walkways and, especially the outdoor gathering places like the gazebos.

There were mistake’s with h our room, check in was later than expected he latest time quoted and we’d called days ahead to request early check in. The front desk staff we dealt with at check in were all not helpful and one of them was just rude from the outset. They didn’t try to resolve or remediate the mistakes in their end when we checked in and that was disappointing.

The room was well appointed with a full kitchen

The room could definitely have been cleaner. Under the sofa very dirty. I understand the room was recently renovated however some things were lacking. There is no place to put your soap either on the counters or in the shower. The shower is not fully enclosed so the water gets on the floor. The room was advertised to sleep four people 2 would have the pull out sofa. The mattress on the sofa soiled and absolutely no support. One could feel the springs with a touch of your hand our daughter had to make a makeshift bed on the couch. The worst part on the last night we found a giant cockroach in the bathroom on the floor.

I loved everything, it's one of my favorite places to stay at in Parksville. So much to do. Can rent canoes, paddle boards, kayaks, and bikes. Have the hot tubs & indoor pool. I seen other reviews saying the rooms are paper thin for sound but it didn't bother us at all.

Honestly we liked everything. Staff were great & friendly. I found it very family oriented. We brought our toddler and the park was a nice added bonus for her. I've been coming here for 15 years.

Staffs were courteous and helpful. The premises are clean, and accessible. Parking lot is huge, overall we had a great time. I will definitely recommend this place to friends.

We did tried to book an appointment to use bicycles ,unfortunately there wasn't any available, Claudia however saved the day by offering us instead to play pool and table tennis which we enjoyed.

Tranquil location hidden from the nearest town. Room was clean. Staff helpful and friendly. Appreciated having a sofa and a bed in the room.

Skylight in the room, bright light in the adjacent room woke us up both nights of our stay. Instead of a window there is a patio door. In order to let fresh air in the room, that door must be open. There is no lock on the screen door. Little point in having such a small patio since the view is a VERY noisy broken fan on neighbors roof. Most of the "spa" facilities are closed beginning of the week. Seemed like a good deal lots of extra taxes and "resort fees" despite the "resort facilities" being closed except the last morning before leaving, the pool was open......

It was bigger than my apartment! Loved having a full kitchen. Keurig coffee machine. The indoor pool was very nice, not too crowded when I went My sister was able to do her exercises without being hit by kids splashing around.

No air conditioner. Could have provided more shampoo, etc, for 2 people for 3 nights, without having to ask.
