Superb location near the pier with everything walkable nearby. In an older building, but clean bedding and towels and room. Unexpectedly big room for the option we reserved, and it was renovated. We really liked it. Hallway area and steps to the rooms are still the old ones from maybe 100 years ago? Very friendly staff at reception and in the breakfast room.

No fridge or microwave. We had leftovers from a dinner the night before and couldn't cool it overnight or heat it up, so we ate cold spaghetti. Room had a view onto the adjacent restaurant roof and was close by the power unit of the restaurant that ran all night. Breakfast was included in the rate we booked, but it was only one choice (bacon/or sausage and eggs with hashbrowns and toast). We stayed 3 nights and after 3 x bacon and eggs each morning we can't eat any more eggs for the next few weeks. I wish there was a variety of choices for guests that stay more than one night. Or give discount vouchers for guests to choose from the a la carte menu.

We were three adults sharing the two bedroom suite. It was refreshing to have three beds and not a pull out sofa or expectation to share. The room had ample space for us, bags and two dogs! Very pet friendly. Nice coffee machine, linen etc in room. The breakfast in the cafe next door is exceptional and what a lovely friendly place! The serving ladies were lovely- and each morning it was filled with local workers and firemen, a great sign for a cafe! The sea front is walking distance, there is ample green space to walk the dogs next door and loads of parking. There is great food at the pub below also. The hotel does clearly state there can be noise from the pub but we were expecting this, ear plugs are provided. This was only the faint bass from music or a live band but seemed to only be for a short time and stopped dead on 10pm. No issue for us. The English guy on the check in desk was great, polite, helpful and gave us recommendations for the area, which is a beautiful small fishing village located perfectly to drive into Vancouver or the airport if you need to.

Although I understand safety is paramount, there are steps up the floor where the rooms are located then you must use a key to enter through a very heavy fire door to access the corridor to the rooms. This is obviously for safety and security measures but just note that it can be difficult to open with a key and hold onto your bags / dogs at same time. This is really me being picky!

We stay at the Steveston Hotel every few months. We have stayed in almost every type of room - king with jacuzzi, full size bed, one full and one twin bed, king with no jacuzzi. This time, we chose a room with 2 beds. Both were comfortable. I particularly like the combo night light, clock and USB chargers.

The bathroom is a bit cramped. With use, water leaked out from somewhere and there was a pool of water on the floor. It would leak only when the shower was on. This is a problem that has been going on for a while. The cable to the tv was loose and after about 10 minutes, cable was lost. We asked the young man at reception to come up to the room. He jiggered the cable and that did the trick. Not being a plumber, he could not explain the leak, but promised to report it to management. He also helped with the remote controlling the mini-split.

The hotel couldn't be better located! The staff was excellent both at the front desk and throughout the bar and cafe. You really feel like you're part of the community there. The rooms were clean, the water pressure was good, and the room had enough space to fulfill our needs with a closet and a desk. There's a grocery store right across the street. And the access to walks, shopping, and restaurants is amazing.

They need to invest in new mattresses. Ours was overly soft and a bit lumpy. Some people might like it, but it didn't facilitate a solid sleep for us. The hotel is quiet, however, the gap below the door allows too much noise from the hall. Many people think that door thickness is the key, but if they just put a simple cheap sealing strip on the door, the noise from the hall is reduced considerably.

The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The suite room we booked was a little different then what we were used to in that there was not a complete division between the rooms. There was an open foyer and a bathroom in the middle. The restaurant was outstanding and the service there was fabulous. It was a great location with ample and convenient parking. We were inadvertently issued a parking ticket by the parking lot attendant and the staff corrected it immediately.

They had a disclaimer about the noise - but it was a little more than we expected. We expected to hear people partying but we heard an extremely loud band

It is in a very quite village and well situated for who arrives late ou departures early because is at 10 minutos to the airport. The receptionist was very kind and helpfull to all the questions we made. Good restaurants nearby which are very close and can be reached by foot. The beds comfortable and very clean. Definitely recomend this Hotel.

At 7h30 when the breakfast cafe opened, there were too many people and the orders where taken table by table and only 2 people in the kitchen. The lady that took the order was very nice and conscious when I asked her to be prompt because we had to go to the airport and had only 30 minutes. IWe were served promptly and get to airport on time.

The location couldn't be more perfect. It's walking distance from everything Steveston has to offer. The room was quiet, comfortable and newly renovated despite the age of the building. You get a physical room key instead of an electronic key card like typical modern hotels, but this adds to the historic feel of staying in Steveston and it was a unique experience. The cafe downstairs had great breakfast options and it was nice having free parking available onsite for the stay. I'm looking forward to another stay here in the future!

Room was quite small but comfortable and clean. Staff were lovely - thank you for a very pleasant and efficient check in Tom! The area is lovely so many bars and restaurants to enjoy. The breakfast provided by the cafe next door was exceptional. All in all very good value for money and an excellent option if needing to be close to the airport but would like something a little different from a generic airport hotel. We did not experience any problems with noise from the downstairs bar, noted by others, at all even though we stayed on a Friday night. Not sure if this was because of the location of our room. We were in a 'newly renovated room'. We would certainly stay again.

Room a little bit small

Location!! Location!! Location!! Right by the Cannery and walking distance to all the water and little shops and restaurants. I loved the blend of modern finishes with the heritage feel.

The rooms a super tiny. We just needed a place to lay our heads so it was ok. We woke up with major environmental allergies( itchy eyes, ears and throat), stuffy nose the works😰😑. Really bad we were looking for a pharmacy at 5am. We think it’s the old walls .

Location in Steveston village cannot be beat. There are shops, restaurants and Garry Point Park within walking distance. We go to Richmond every few months and always stay here. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We appreciate their acceptance of dogs. Since the room has no mini fridge, they happily stored our expensive and new fangled fresh dog food in their cooler.

The hotel is in a building that is very old. It's hit or miss which room we get. We've stayed at a big King size one with a jacuzzi, a smaller Full bed in a renovated room, a room with beds in a renovated room, and this time in a smaller bed but in a non-renovated room. It was very dated and there was a dirty water smell upon entry. We asked for a different room, but none available for a comparable room. So we just got used to it. All good.
