The location is the best in Tofino 😊 It overlooks a cute marina with a lovely restaurant called Shelter just in front of the water. Everything feels cozy and welcoming even though we were mostly under the rain! If you've got the budget, go for it, the rooms with balcony and view are perfect, clean, tidy and with an amazing bed and small goodies such as coffee and tea included ~

Maybe a tiny heater on the balconies would be great so we can enjoy it later at night when it gets cold in Tofino! For future construction upgrades, consider making the walls a bit thicker. I could hear people caughing 2 rooms away 🙃 but nothing major.

Our room had a good size, and we liked the fact that we were on street level and able to park the car right in front of our room. Bathroom and amenities are excellent. The bed was very comfortable and big. Liked the wide brim around it as it made it comfortable to sit on the bed and rest your feet there. Location right at the harbour is fantastic and having the Shelter restaurant right there is extremely convenient. Also easy to book excursions like a whale watching tour.

Location was great. Our third floor room had a nice view of the inlet with comfy chairs on the balcony to sit and enjoy. Hotel staff was very helpful - especially Nikita. Shelter Restaurant was outstanding! Tour facilities are all on site and easily arranged.

There is no safe in the room. A lot of time is spent out of the room while enjoying the tours and various activities in Tofino. It would be a good addition to all rooms. The hotel did keep some small items in the safe for us - which we appreciated very much. No breakfast on site.

The last minute price was excellent. The room was quaint, but as I was in Tofino for all the outdoor activities, I didn't want the room to be exceptional. I was just using it to sleep. I love the location of Tofino Resort and Marina. It is walking distance to great restaurants and shops. It is too bad that 1909 Restaurant was closed though. I did hear that Shelter Restaurant is going to be taking over the spot; I just was a few weeks too early. Finally, I liked the 11 am check out time. It allowed me to go for a nice beach walk and dip in the ocean, with enough time to shower and get ready before departing.

There were 4 very high pillows, which was not what I am used to. It would have been great if 2 pillows were lower and 2 pillows had more height; that way people could have a choice of the ones they used.

Super spacious, clean, quiet. The staff were so helpful and the texting system with the front desk made it easy to ask for anything we might need. The shower products were nice quality too. Everything you need in a hotel room.

Everything was great. The only downside to the room was our Waterview was only visible when standing beside the window. If a view from bed is important just make sure you plan for it. Many units on property have full views.

Location was very good. The restaurant within the complex was very welcome after a long day of travel. It was clean and the staff were friendly.

The “courtyard view” was a view of the parking lot. The king size bed had a wood platform around the perimeter that encouraged bumps to shins and knees. Getting into bed was oddly difficult.

Housekeeping walked in on us having a nap but that's probably on us for not putting out the Do Not Disturb sign! Noise did carry from the floor above, we could hear very clearly when it was being cleaned. TV was really far away from the bed so hard to hear it without the volume way up. The restaurant was sadly closed for a refurb while we stayed but we were given 10% off food at another local place. I'm sure it will be amazing once finished!

The Restaurant was under renovation. This means the price was good and discounts at other places were offered but it would have been nice to try it out. Also the adventure hub was only just getting started for the season so didn't have any tours for us to attend. I think both these issues will have now been sorted and the hotel did a great job of being clear with this and discounting, supporting accordingly.

The ambience was wonderful and the grounds were impeccable. Yard games for kids and family, chess boards were set up in the lounge, ready for a challenge and books were available for anyone wishing to escape into another story. The atmosphere of patrons was one of carefree joy and contentment and every employee was personable and professional; happy to help. I’ll be coming back.

An elevator would be good, or a bellhop at the ready, for us seniors with heavy bags.

Great location that is no more than a 10 minute walk to everything in Tofino. Beautiful views from the hotel. The food at 1909 was okay, a little overpriced for what you get in my opinion though. Convenient and easy booking of excursions through the hotel. Laundry on site is great, but there’s only 1 washer and dryer so be prepared to wait for a turn.

There were a lot of little flies that would come out of the bathroom sink which was kind of gross. I also noticed a smell in the room, not sure where it was coming from. It was also very hot in the room, but they do provide a fan which helped a bit. We slept with the window open. Microwaves in the room would be a plus to reheat leftovers or coffee. We couldn’t bring any leftovers back unless we were okay with eating them cold. 1909 Kitchen was a bit overpriced and my salmon was undercooked.
