Beautiful inn, convenient to town.

One of the hosts mentioned he had to leave town that night so breakfast the next day would be a parfait. Lovely crystal glass, some yogurt with granola, coffee, juice … but that was it. No scones, muffins, or toast. Told hosts we were leaving early the next morning before stated breakfast time. Hosts said they would see us off. Thought perhaps there would be bagged breakfast pastry and coffee but there was nothing. They were awake, the table was set and ready for another couple, the one host hadn’t left … and there was no offer of breakfast to go … at a bed AND breakfast. Have travelled extensively and never encountered that before.

The Lark and Loon Inn far exceeded everything we were hoping to experience with a bed and breakfast. Our prior experiences with B&Bs had been "stuffy" but Kevin and Leslie were not only amazing hosts and cooks but went the extra mile in making us feel as if we were coming home for holiday, whole heartedly welcomed by family. The home itself is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and quiet with lots of room to spread out and visit. Keven typically showed up barefooted, entertaining us with his colorful stories, which were historically very informative and engaging. The breakfast extravaganza was a delight each morning and so very delicious, to the point that I arrived home with several of their recipes for my own future family gatherings. You cannot go wrong with booking here. Hands down, our overall best B&B experience - highly recommend 10/10.

Everything was perfect!

We had such a wonderful experience at the Lark & Loon! It felt like a home away from home, very cozy common areas filled with rich history of the area. We stayed in the Granville room which was perfect, had a very comfortable bed and a large ensuite. Breakfast was also delicious and the hosts Kevin & Lesley were so welcoming and gave us tons of good recommendations. If you’re planning a trip to Annapolis Royal, we can’t recommend the Lark & Loon enough for a quintessential B&B experience.

A real gem of a place to stay. The architecture and interior design allows you to feel and see how it was to live back in the day. The room was a perfect match of historic design and modern comfort Being there for 12 days we tested the hosts culinary skills and were never disappointed with the breakfast. The hosts were exceptional hosts and offered so much insight into the history of the,area. Highly recommended

This is a beautiful historic home which has been decorated in a manner to highlight its character and ensure comfort for guests. Lesley and Kevin are wonderful hosts with loads of helpful information on the history of the community, and recommendations for things to do and restaurants to visit. The breakfast they served was delicious and demonstrated their skills and interests in the kitchen--Yum! This is a quiet historic town with so much to see and do. The botanical gardens and historic fort are a short walk from the Lark and Loon. Access to the rail trail, which traverses the Annapolis Valley is just a block away. This is a stay I will be recommending to my family and friends!

What not to like?! The building is the most charming historic inn I've ever stayed at, the decor is perfectly done to transport you back in time for the most memorable stay, and the customer service is top notch making you feel at home. Breakfast was delicious and served in the most lovely dining room. Our suite was comfortable, spacious, bed was extremely comfortable. Location is fantastic. 5 stars ! We'll be back!

That we didn't stay longer!

Beautiful B&B with amazing hosts Kevin and Leslie! We had an amazing stay and the hosts were amazing with many suggestions and recommendations for us for the surrounding area. The breakfasts were delicious and above expectations! Also hosts went above and beyond with a few things and we are so grateful! I would recommend to anyone and thanks Kevin & Leslie for amazing stay and kindness! Keep up the amazing hospitality for travellers! We will be back and sharing with all our friends!

Loved the location … the history, the cleanliness, the breakfast … the hosts were amazing. Enjoyed the personal interaction and sharing information. Tips on where to dine - places to go. Fun to have the contest .. I tried really hard! Thanks for letting us store our bikes! Breakfasts were delicious .. We’ll be back again next we’ll be back again next year for our annual visit to celebrate birthdays!

Loved everything!

The property was in a good location, within easy walking distance of town. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Lesley and Kevin the hosts were brilliant nothing was to much trouble. Kevin was very knowledgable on the fantastic period house, the area and places of interest to visit while there. Kevin also suggested some excellent places to eat. we really enjoyed our stay and couldn’t recommend this wonderful place and hosts highly enough.

Staying at the Lark and Loon was one of the nicest travel experiences I ever had! The house is freshly renovated, Kevin and his wife just took it over last year and decorated it in a superlovely way, both the community- and the bedrooms. It really feels like staying in a Noble house from some golden age long, long ago. Marvelous! The two go the extra mile to make your experience special. There is plenty of delicious local tea (served in beautiful Chinaware), an icebucket and chrystal glasses were easily found for Champagne and Kevin is a great storyteller with good knowledge of history, social life and even classic motorcars ;-) All in all, I would be more than happy if I get the chance to return to Annapolis Roval and the Lark and Loon!
